Gov. Christie Calls for Alternatives to Drug War During Inauguration Speech
Calls for bipartisanship to end incarceration tendencies
Governor Chris Christie today took the oath of office for a second term and delivered his inaugural address at the War Memorial in Trenton. During his inaugural address he called for an end to the drug war and compassion for those suffering from drug addiction.
"We will end the failed war on drugs that believes that incarceration is the cure of every ill caused by drug abuse. We will make drug treatment available to as many of our non-violent offenders as we can and we will partner with our citizens to create a society that understands this simple truth: every life has value and no life is disposable," Christie said during his inaugural speech this morning.

He's just realizing this now? Can't help but feel this is a disingenuous attempt to broaden his base. We'll see what if any actual policy changes come from it.
Hoping for the VERY best we can expect of out slime of the kind we are looking at with Guv. Christ-Like here, we can expect that we'll stop confiscating the cars, cash, and houses of the pot-smokers, so as to give it all to the cops... Instead, we will give all of the confiscated goodies to the anti-pot THERAPISTS instead! And that's the best we can hope for, out of Mr. Slime-Bag here...

Obama, Holder and Kerlikowske said they were ending the WoDs back in 2009. Christie is just trying to waddle up to the band wagon. I'm sure they are all equally sincere...
