Start your week off with some vintage propaganda for price controls:
That's a World War II–era Canadian short called Dollar Dance. The director, Norman McLaren, would go on to far better things.

So, squirrel away your money because of, um, inflation?
I stopped watching when they warned of the possibility of $4 movie tickets.
Did they also price control voice actors?
The amazing thing is that propaganda like this lame shit worked.
And it still works.
You can tell it's propaganda. To a statist/progturd, your money is most certainly not *your* money.
Ohhhhhhh so that's how you do it. Venezuela needs to watch this video because they're doing it all wrong what with shortages, power outages, mass unrest, and other bothersome little nitnoid wrinkles.
War is the friend of the state.
It is, in the words of Randolph Bourne (no relation to Jason), "the health of the state."
$4 movie tickets?! Thank Galt our government and Federal Reserve Bank saved us from the inflation that would make possible such a nightmare scenario.
You've misunderstood... they were talking about price supports. They didn't want to see movie tickets drop below $4. Like the price of milk or sugar.
"Please install Adobe Flash"
No.
"All money spent on things you do not need is wasted...."
"I'm your buddy! I'm your friend!"
Let's get one thing straight, which you Canadians NEVER seem to get right - I'M NOT YOUR FRIEND, PAL!
I'm not your guy, buddy!
I've got your Buddy Guy!
I love Buddy Guy.
"All money spent on things you do not need is wasted...."
What we need is a list of "necessary things" so we don't succumb to our false consciousness.
