Two Connecticut Cops Found Guilty of Violating Civil Rights of Latinos
Face up to 10 years in prison
HARTFORD — A federal jury Monday found two East Haven police officers guilty of violating the civil rights of Latinos, culminating a four-year probe into allegations that town police routinely discriminated against some minorities.
The case against David Cari and Dennis Spaulding began after the pair arrested a New Haven priest who was videotaping the officers' actions inside an East Haven convenience store. They face as many as 10 years in prison when sentenced on Jan. 21.

Apparently we have to videotape our police to hold them accountable, which explains their desire to arrest those videotaping them. Arresting someone videotaping what's happening in public, should result in their dismissal - it's an abuse of government force. Rather than dismissal, IMHO, they should be prosecuted for abusing their power.
