HARTFORD — A federal jury Monday found two East Haven police officers guilty of violating the civil rights of Latinos, culminating a four-year probe into allegations that town police routinely discriminated against some minorities.

The case against David Cari and Dennis Spaulding began after the pair arrested a New Haven priest who was videotaping the officers' actions inside an East Haven convenience store. They face as many as 10 years in prison when sentenced on Jan. 21.
