Agustina Vergara Cid is editorial manager at Reason. She writes on immigration policy, civil liberties, and Latin American politics.
Her writing has appeared in The Orange County Register, The Hill, Newsweek, The Telegraph, STAT, and numerous other outlets. She has appeared on Fox 5 DC's Good Day DC, Estrella TV Noticias, The Young Turks, as well as numerous radio programs and podcasts.
Prior to joining Reason, Agustina was an associate fellow and managing editor at the Ayn Rand Institute, where she wrote and spoke about the intersection of philosophy and immigration policy, and Latin American politics. As managing editor, she oversaw the institute's editorial operations. She was also a senior contributor with Young Voices.
Agustina holds a law degree from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba and a Master of Laws from the University of Southern California. Originally from Córdoba, Argentina, Agustina immigrated to the U.S. in 2017 and now lives in Washington, D.C. You can follow her on X: @agustinavcid
