Reid: Cruz's Presidential Ambitions Hurt "Average Americans"

Not happy about his colleague's recent attempt to defund Obamacare

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) isn't mincing words when it comes to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), calling the 16 day government shutdown "stupid" and accusing Cruz of political opportunism.

"In an effort to help him run for President, he has done some stuff that's really damaging to our country," Reid told Univision anchor Jorge Ramos in an interview that will air Sunday, according to a transcript. "He's been attempting to raise money. And who has he hurt? He has hurt average Americans."
