White House Criticizes Opponents of Gun Control Efforts
Claims they aren't serving constituents (You know, like they are with ObamaCare and possible Syrian strikes)
WASHINGTON - The White House is criticizing lawmakers who oppose legislation to tighten gun laws and says President Barack Obama is continuing to push the cause in the wake of the Washington Navy Yard shooting.
White House press secretary Jay Carney said Tuesday that lawmakers who oppose expanded background checks for gun sales are taking cues from, quote, "a narrow special interest" instead of serving their constituents.
