White House Has Discussed Syria With 1 in 3 Lawmakers

Has a lot of convincing to do

The Obama administration has discussed Syria with about one-third of Congress in the last two weeks — at least 60 senators and 125 House members — according to a White House official who shared the statistics with POLITICO on the condition of anonymity.

The numbers reflect both the effort that's already gone into a "flood the zone" approach to building support for American strikes in Syria and the work that's still left to be done.
