Edward Snowden Leaves Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport
Says his lawyer
US intelligence leaker Edward Snowden has left the Moscow airport where he has been staying since June, his lawyer told the BBC.
Anatoly Kucherena said Mr Snowden had received the necessary papers to enter Russian territory from the transit zone at Sheremetyevo Airport.
Russia is currently considering his request for asylum.

The pro-Snowden crowd are trying to spin this as positively as they're able, but let's just call a spade a spade. Edward Snowden isn't seeking asylum. He'd defecting...
The pro-Snowden crowd? You mean all of Reason. Yeah, take secret information from the US government to the Chinese government and you're automatically a hero in the eyes of too many libertarians. I'm sure he'll have a nice life in Russia anyway, just the kind of country one would expect to go to when seeking asylum.
Notice the distinct lack of pro-Snowden sentiment here? I'm confused at it. Traitor Snowden could have taken the information to several members of Congress and he would have been a hero. No foreign leakage, just embarrassment to those responsible. Oh well...his problem...and ours now that Russia, China, and others have very detailed information about our capabilities...
