Opinion: Libertarian Millennials Like Snowden Are the Future
We can hope
Snowden, who spent his 30th birthday on the run, is one of a new breed I call the "Libertarian Millennial". Apolitical, perhaps even post-political, they do what they do because they have come to their own conclusions in their own time and in their own way. "I don't want to live in a society that does these [surveillance] sort of things… I do not want to live in a world where everything I do and say is recorded," Snowden declares. There you have it: "I don't", "I do not" and "everything I do and say" are the key phrases here. …
In the world of the Libertarian Millennial, the act is not complete without social media, without the bringing together of the crowd as receptor of their personal feelings, their manifesto. And since it is embedded technology – which we wear on our bodies or will even have implanted inside our bodies – that is our future, more and more LMs will emerge, both as lone wolves – individuals out to do maximum physical harm and wreak mayhem in the name of a religion or a political ideology; or as charismatic individuals, people doing what they think is right, and through that effort, rallying people and movements around them.
Snowden has been quoted as having written: "The consent of the governed is not consent if it is not informed." And that "the truth is coming, and it cannot be stopped." His breed of Libertarian Millennial is coming, too. It is they who cannot be stopped.

my co-worker's step-aunt makes $76 every hour on the computer. She has been unemployed for six months but last month her pay check was $21126 just working on the computer for a few hours. Read more on this site.... http://www.cnn13.com
Apparently the author doesn't know many Millennials. Pretty much all the ones I know worship Obama.
And they absolutely hate Libertarians. Conservatives they think are evil, true, but Libertarians are much worse.
I think Snowden is probably a borderline Generation Xer, anyway. Usually the cutoff dates is '82. He was born in '83.

I've seen the same; if Obozo isn't living up to the hype, well BUUUSH!
Pathetic apologists.
another reason writer living in make believe land...there are no millennial libertarians..they adore obama..they adore anything free from the govt they can get...they are owed it..i thought gen x was a stroked generation (being one myself)...millennials take the cake....the mere fact that someone uses social media does not make them a libertarian...its like saying fdr wasn't a socialist because he used the cutting edge media of the time...TV...what piss poor thinking
Baby Boomers can at least claim Reagan (communist hippes excepted). At least he ended the cold war and used to talk a libertarian game.
Smart, educated, reasonably aware Millennials think Obama made healthcare free.
Let's face it, people who like libertarians are libertarians and center right folks who read Reason or Cato when National Review or Hotair links to their sites.
I exist among non white people, and believe you me, they don't like libertarianism when I explain it them.
The future firmly belongs to people who adore big government.

Not s sure about national review or hotair reading libertarians, but what you said is very disheartening.
