FreedomWorks Challenges Surveillance Fetishist Lindsey Graham to Turn Over His Email Password

At a press conference today FreedomWork Pres. Matt Kibbe challenged Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) to turn over his email password. You know, because Graham has nothing to hide. Here's the group's press release:
In a Fox and Friends interview last Thursday, Senator Graham defended the National Security Agency's (NSA) warrantless surveillance of American civilians, telling the show's hosts, "I don't think you're talking to the terrorists. I know you're not. I know I'm not. So we don't have anything to worry about." Senator Graham then went one step further, concluding that he was "glad" the warrantless surveillance activity was happening in the NSA.
Kibbe commented, "Privacy is a citizen's right to choose what information you prefer to tell the public about, and what you choose to keep to yourself. Senator Lindsay Graham recently asserted that violating the Fourth Amendment to implement warrantless government surveillance is not only acceptable, it's welcomed. If we're not talking to terrorists, we have nothing to worry about."
"Respectfully, Senator, we ask you to lead by example and make your email account password available to the American people. If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to worry about. Right?"
At the same press conference, Kibbe announced that FreedomWorks had signed on to Sen. Rand Paul's lawsuit against the NSA.

If you have nothing to hide you shouldn't be worried Mr. Graham!
Not turning over all your email passwords would basically be tantamount to admitting corruption.
i think you mean homosexuality
As much as I despise Graham, there is a difference between knowing who he called when, and reading the entire contents of his email. Now if they asked him to turn over just the headers from all his emails...
You honestly believe they're only looking at call and email logs and not the content?
No, I think they're looking at content. But it's not fair to grill him on what we conjecture they're doing. We absolutely have standing to grill him over what we know they're doing.
I suppose. But if he doesn't know they're doing it, he should shut his ignorant whore trap on the subject.
What do we actually know (insofar as we are able) they are doing? So much has come out in the past few days that it is difficult to keep track. Is there a reliable source that summarizes all the leaks thus far?
So far, I've heard:
- Collecting originating number, dialed number, originating location (when available), duration of call, and some unique identifier (not necessarily a name) for every Verizon call originating within the U.S. since ???? (and by extension, other service providers)
- Something relating to text messages (don't remember what)
- Collecting the content (is this confirmed?) of all emails (for which people?) from Gmail, Yahoo, Microsoft, and all Facebook posts
Is that all correct? Am I missing something?
It's fair to do anything to Graham, he's a piece of shit.
It's not really suppose to be fair anyway.
Not just because we have to rely on him doing it voluntarily and he will never do it, also because we have to rely on him doing it voluntarily and even if he did it, we'd all suspect he hadn't. He'd just release the e-mails he didn't mind people seeing. He wouldn't release emails he didn't want people to see.
Grilling implies some kind of prosecutorial authority. Sadly, this is just snarking. None of us can spy on Graham the way he spies on us and return the favor.
But it's not fair to grill him on what we conjecture they're doing.
"nothing" is a pretty strong word. If he has NOTHING to hide, then who gives a flying fuck about what the NSA does or doesn't do. He says he has NOTHING to hide. Zero. Zip. Nulle. Nada. Rei ten Rei. Let him prove it.
They're scooping up all emails, guy. Calls get a little bit more protection, for nonsensical reasons of judicial precedent.
As much as I despise Graham, there is a difference between knowing who he called when, and reading the entire contents of his email.
Who fucking cares. Fuck him. How about this:
"We only want the headers from your emails, and you to fucking kill yourself with fucking fire you piece of fucking shit. Then every liberty loving American will take turns shitting on your fucking ashes. Even this is to good for you, you fucking puke stain."
Is that fairer?
wow, i never knew Mark Levin posted on Reason
Yeah, because there can't be more than one person that would appreciate seeing Lindsey Graham self-immolate on national teevee.
No there isnt.
Except publicizing his password means that anyone could also write an email from his account. It's a funny suggestion but it doesn't really parallel what the NSA is doing.
You don't think that an NSA employee could write an email from his account using the information the NSA has?
Anyone that says. "I have nothing to hide...", should immediately have all of their personal emails, phone records and browsing histories made public.
What? You didn't think anyone knew that you you were visiting those Pygmy bestiality porn sites, did you?
THAT MUST HAVE BEEN ALREADY ON MY COMPUTER WHEN I BOUGHT IT!!!
NO? THEN IT WAS A HACKER! YES. A HACKER GOT INTO MY E-MAIL ACCOUNT AND...
As soon as says he has nothing to hide, a picture is going to surface of Lindsey Graham sitting on Gary Hart's lap.
Fuck you, asshole.
I don't mind thinking of what sorts of e-mails Graham might be sending and receiving, but now you've just forced me to think about what sorts of porn sites he might frequent.
Fuck you, asshole.
He frequents straighttalkexpressintomymouth.com.
And compilations.
You are welcome.
John McCain's semen must have a lot of lipids in it or something, because Graham's skin looks great.
That's Mary Kay Lustreshine 34 with enhanced lipids.
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!
So, you're saying McCain is Jesus and Graham is Christ?
Stop...I beg of you....
yeah, I was about to eat a bologna sandwich, but I stopped mid-bite and fed it to the dog. Somehow I just couldnt finish it after reading that.
And now the IRS shot your dog with thei kickas AR15s.
And the Circle of Life continues...
Graham is the cracker, McCain is the marshmellow, and the NSA is cheap chocolate.
Mmmm... crusty old authority fetish smores!
McCain is soft, spongy, and pale? Seems legit.
Hugh is just taking lessons from you, HM. I mean really.
Why does this remind you of Graham and McCain?
Larry Craig. There's someone with an interesting browsing history, I'm sure. I wonder what his take would be on all of this?
*shuffles feet under desk at work*
And assumes a wide stance.
"Privacy is a citizen's right to choose what information you prefer to tell the public about, and what you choose to keep to yourself."
Darn that middle ground of "what you don't mind the NSA 'looking at'"!
Lindsay is a blatant, transparent hypocrite and an authoritarian asshole. This is not news to anyone. He will ignore it and pretend it never happened and his constituency will re-elect him.
*Sigh*
Yep. I hate him as much as all the Team Blue Authoritarian Hypocrites.
Used to have some hope for Team Red - but Boner and McGimp and Lindsey Fuckstain....fuck those statist fucking cocksuckers. No hope for any TEAM.
Vote Almanian President - 2016!
(doing some early ground prep...)
Vote Almanian President - 2016!
Like you'd be any better Stalin Jr.
I'm actually afraid to send an email or text bathmouthing The One, or pretty much the gov't in general.
So I guess the terrorists, whoever they are, have won.
I've gone from a Republican to a Libertarian to an Anarchist in 10 years.
10 years.
I wonder what the record is? Took me a while, but I got there.
You really need to stop listening to those cynical voices. You can trust me. Honest. I pinky swear that I just want to keep you safe.
Love,
Barry
Insufficent sanctimony.
GRADE: C-
*signs in using Graham's password*
*forwards contents of folder labelled "niggraporn" to all contacts*
*changes password to "boiledpeanutbutthole"*
It's the ability to change the password so that he can't use his own account that makes this hypothetical pretty silly.
Have to keep him from recalling the email I sent. Duh.
Anonymously, I hope. One would think that an e-mail from you might actually be considered terrorism. Just reading a few of your offerings and I know *I* was terrified.
See this just proves how juvenile libertarians are. Atlas Shrugged is just some fantasy for disaffected teenagers. Grownups like Barry and Lindsey have outgrown such nonsense.
It's pretty funny that "confirmed bachelor" [wink] Lindsey Graham would refuse to acknowledge that people have things they want kept private that have nothing to do with illegal activities.
Hey shreeky...if we're supposed to be so "in the tank" for the republicans how come I hate Lindsey Graham and Charles Schumer in equal measure?

"Except publicizing his password means that anyone could also write an email from his account. It's a funny suggestion but it doesn't really parallel what the NSA is doing."
Yeah, it also doesn't parallel what NSA *can* do; toss your ass in the can.
Sorry, Graham owes us many passwords to make up for that. Maybe someone can use his bank password and require him to spend days of his time straightening it out. Still better than being in the slammer.
He's a fucking asshole.
Dude seems to know whats going on over there. Wow.

Proposal: all "public servants" should have email accounts with three levels of security. The first is for full read/write access. They would ba allowed to keep that to themselves. The second would allow anyone to see the email headers. The third would be to see the contents of the messages. They would have the option to choose 2 or 3 or neither, but they would have to explain their choice in writing.
