French Ministers Will Declare Their Assets
Following tax scandal of budget minister
French Cabinet Ministers were to make public details of their personal assets on Monday, as the Government tries to deal with the fallout of a damaging tax scandal involving former Budget Minister Jerome Cahuzac.
The 37 Ministers were to disclose their bank accounts, securities, cash, properties, jewellery, art and cars. The details were to be published on the government website.
President Francois Hollande came under pressure to take a tough stance after Mr. Cahuzac was charged with tax fraud for lying about money he had stashed in a Swiss bank account.
