Giffords to Lobby in DC on Gun Regs
Will meet with lawmakers
Former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is expected to seek meetings with Capitol Hill lawmakers next week to advocate for measures to reduce gun violence, according to a new report.
NBC News on Friday reported that Giffords, the Arizona Democrat who was shot in the head in 2011, will look to meet with some politicians from both sides of the aisle to urge support for a compromise on background checks.
