    well played, Reason, well played.

  2. Fist of Etiquette   13 years ago

Okay, the sign for Italy turned a different way is a clever reference to the phrase "A thousand roads lead men forever to Rome." I get that, but why are those two baby sharks trying to escape from Dr. Octopus' hover car?

    1. mr simple   13 years ago

I thought it was one of those dangerous spider-elephant hybrids I heard about on the news. It's an analogy for how everything is the republican's fault.

I thought it was Gonesh and Vishnu in the car.

  3. Whiterun Guard   13 years ago

With any luck, Chip Bok will die before...nope. Too late.

    1. Tonio   13 years ago

      Not funny, WG.

      1. Whiterun Guard   13 years ago

Yet someone still pays him to make comics.

        1. some guy   13 years ago

Are you sure they pay him?

    2. LTC(ret) John   13 years ago

      Bok is eternal.

  4. mr simple   13 years ago

One of your more clever attempts, Bok, but still not funny. B-

  5. Bardas Phocas   13 years ago

    Why no sign to Wiemar?

    1. pmains   13 years ago

In part because it's spelled, Weimar. "Ei" is pronounced like "eye" and "ie" is pronounced as "ee" in German.

  6. invisible furry hand   13 years ago

he could get a personalised number plate and he chose "Mandate". How... drab

  7. The Late P Brooks   13 years ago

    Meeds more labels. (esp. "HELL")

    1. Groovus Maximus   13 years ago

      Meed?

      1. mr simple   13 years ago

Obviously. Have you already forgotten English, Groovus?

  8. The Late P Brooks   13 years ago

    he chose "Mandate".

It saves time when he's out cruising.

    1. Tonio   13 years ago

      Good one, Brooksie!

  9. Ken Shultz   13 years ago

I said something like this the day after the election, and it's come out pretty much as I expected.

According to the Wall Street Journal:

"Obama called for a $1.6 trillion tax increase, a $50 billion stimulus program and new powers to raise the federal debt limit, demands that Republicans viewed as a step back in talks."

    http://professional.wsj.com/ar.....86900.html

If that's Obama's offer, then I say we just go over the cliff.

From this libertarian's perspective, if going over the cliff means more taxes and some spending cuts, but Obama's plan to avoid the cliff means more taxes and no spending cuts whatsoever, then going over the cliff is NOT the worst case scenario. Obama's plan is.

So, we might want to stop portraying going over the cliff as the worst case scenario. If going over the cliff is better than what Obama is proposing, then I say we go over the cliff.

    1. some guy   13 years ago

I concur. I wish they would offer deduction eliminations in place of tax rate hikes. If we have to raise revenue, we might as simplify the tax code and eliminate some of its market distortions. I doubt this will happen. Either way, a deal would need spending cuts of at least 1.2T$ over ten years to be better than just cliff diving.

  10. waaminn   13 years ago

lol, yeah OK that is pretty funny dude.

      Bok's number one fan.

      1. Ken Shultz   13 years ago

Sometimes the 50 Cent Army is so on, you'd almost think they read the post.

I guess that's what paid spam trolls do when they're slacking off--they read the article they're supposed to be commenting on.

      2. some guy   13 years ago

        ... and only.

  11. LTC(ret) John   13 years ago

    "the 50 Cent Army"?

I thought it was the KISS Army?

    1. Ken Shultz   13 years ago

      That one's different.

If the KISS Army were trolling, that would be awesome, though!

What are those things sticking out of the car above the arms? Seriously? Are they donkey heads or elephant noses or something else? Something much ruder?

  13. Jesus H. Christ   13 years ago

    Better than most.
