Bartender Testifies at Cop's Trial
Says "I remember him throwing me like a rag doll."
In the video of her beating, petite bartender Karolina Obrycka tried to stand up to Anthony Abbate as he charged at her, determined to get behind the bar.
The infamous video showed the off-duty Chicago police officer toss her down and pummel her, punching and kicking her inside Jesse's Short Stop Inn on the Northwest Side.
On Monday, Obrycka told a federal jury of severe back and neck pain she suffered that night nearly six years ago as a result of the attack. Testifying in an even voice that at times hesitated but never broke, she said she still suffers panic attacks that cause her jaw to lock.
