Hillary Clinton Takes Responsibility for Attacks on Benghazi Consulate
Says president and vice president wouldn't be aware of specific security decisions
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton assumed responsibility on Monday for last month's deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, which has become an issue in the hard-fought U.S. presidential campaign.
"I take responsibility" for what happened on September 11, Clinton said in an interview with CNN during a visit to Peru, adding that President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden would not be responsible for specific security instructions for U.S. diplomatic facilities.
"I'm in charge of the State Department's 60,000-plus people all over the world," Clinton said.
"The president and the vice president wouldn't be knowledgeable about specific decisions that are made by security professionals. They're the ones who weigh all of the threats and the risks and the needs and make a considered decision."

Wonder if Bush would have been let off the hook if such a thing happened in his administration and Rice would have taken the hit. Wait. I don’t wonder. It still would have been Bush’s fault.
She may be on the hook for the lack of security at the embassy, but the President is on the hook for lying repeatedly about the supposed protest and cause of the attack.
Hey, just in time for the second POUTS debate! Unfortunately, it doesn’t clear our current admin for bullshitting the cause of the attack, or that it was an attack for over a week.
BTW, morning after the attack I had it from a mid level state dept employee that Benghazi was a terrorist act, pure and simple. They definitely knew as much in the WH
Is she going to take credit for Bill’s oral sexcapades too? “I didn’t sufficiently please him.”
Also, I am not sure I am a big fan of Hil-dog’s new look.
How patriotic of her, being the fall guy for Der Fuhrer.
“Sieg Hiel” she says.
Yeah, she “takes responsibility” the same way that Janet Reno “took responsibility”. The entirety of the penalty she’ll face is a momentary public embarrassment. No jail time, no financial liability for wrongful deaths, and she’ll keep the job that she’s completely unqualified to hold.

Thank you.
And right on.
When you hear, “I take responsiblity,” it means, “Piss off, end of story.”
Hell, I’ll take resposniblity for it too; no skin off my nose.
Oh, she took responsibility, but then blamed it on the security professionals.
“responsibility”
“You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.” — Inigo Montoya in “The Princess Bride”
For crying out loud, no one is blaming Obama for the attack. What’s upsetting is the lying. Who’s taking it up the ass – I mean who’s taking responsibility – for that?
After long time someone takes the responsibility of this whole incident and the good thing is Hilary take the fault on her head near the election which is seems like the sympathy to herself.
