Australian Police Criticised Over Shooting
The investigation into the police shooting of a mentally ill man has been slammed by the Police Integrity Commission
NSW Police are under new scrutiny over their failure to respond to findings of a cover-up in the investigation of a failed police operation that resulted in the shooting death of a mentally ill Sydney man.
The Police Integrity Commission heard yesterday that officers misled the public and their senior command about an incident in which an officer shot Adam Salter in November 2009.
