After complaints of assaults, the Village Council voted to fire the chief, but lacked a two-thirds super-majority
While Craig Beach's embattled police chief says he should be back on the job soon, Village Council members are still trying to sort it out.
Council voted Wednesday 3-2 to terminate suspended Chief Joe Borosky following a disciplinary hearing that lasted for several hours. But Borosky claims for him to be fired, Council had to pass the measure by a two-thirds vote.
Councilman Danny Garner said the village will consult with legal counsel to determine if the chief is correct.
