Your Tax Dollars At Work
Federal edition: A website run by the federal government to debunk conspiracy theories about the federal government. Somehow, I doubt the people for whom this site is intended are going to find it convincing. (Thanks to TheAgitator.com commenter Dana Gower for the tip.)
State edition: North Carolina Alcohol Beverage Control board officials spend six months investigating topless bars in Charlotte. The fruit of their dogged investigation: Sixteen dancers charged with indecent exposure for going nude below the waist. (Thanks to H&R commenter Soylent Greens for the tip.)

I have to say that those girls beat any stripper I've ever seen in North Carolina...
I'm so sorry for Carolinans.
There's a reason strip clubs are dark.
And serve alcohol.
Were these a random cross section of NC strippers? Or did they only bust the ugly ones?
If the former, my condolences to the men in Charlotte.
Accorting to the article's comments these were Librarians that lost their jobs when the libraries closed.
I thought that was just to cover the needle tracks so you could pretend to believe they are "working their way through college/nursing school".
That Charlotte Observer story is a classic example of "burying the lede."
From the strip club article:
"Such probes are undertaken periodically, authorities said"
I'll bet they are. . .
NO big surprise there now is there? LOL

*cough* bullshit *cough*
So which club were you at when the cops showed up, Radley?
Hey, that's not fair. Soylent Greens isn't fictional. Soylent Greens is people.
You forgot to use the Charlton Heston voice.
No, the problem is at your end.
Damn you Apple!
That explains everything.
Virginia, no shame in having a second job to make ends meet.
The website is monitored by an office in Langley, VA which traces the visitors back to their home computers and marks them for future reference.
Are you being facetious, or are they really such dicks?
Have you visited the site?
If so, you should be just able to make out the black helicopter hovering over your house at night. ;P
If the helicopter crews are as lame as that web page, I ain't worried.
BTW, the department's expert on conspiracy theories, Todd Leventhal, is described as a man who enjoys reading obituaries...I'm sure that'll calm the conspiracy nuts.
So, does that mean any conspiracy theory not mentioned on the site is confirmed to be true?
That has to be the Tuesday lunch crew right? right? Meh, I'm sure Friday and Saturday nights aren't much better.
"Chris Fall, owner of the Paper Doll Lounge on Wilkinson Boulevard, said the women from his club denied that they removed all of their clothing."
lol, pics or it didn't happen
Gag! Never been to the Paper Doll Lounge, and from the looks of things, I am never going.
There is quality tail in Charlotte, but most work in banking. Raleigh, being close to two college towns, and even Greensboro and Winston have a better selection working the clubs.
