Thank you, RC Dean and George W Bush.

"Did you just refer to yourself in fourth person?"
Thank you, RC Dean and George W Bush.
Your welcome, I guess. Not sure what I did to merit such gratitude, though.
Victor David Hanson is a massive wanker.
There was no coming "Palin Presidency." Strawmen annoy me.
An effort to impose copyright law on the design industry.
God damn it, fuck fuck fuck.
We're going the WRONG WAY.
"It's the first time we could afford to fly with all our children," said Wendy Greenfield, who was clutching two large boxes of doughnuts, the family's in-flight breakfast, as the couple and their nine children, ages 5 to 19, streamed into a 150-seat jetliner.
Note to self:
Never, ever fly Allegiant.
a pretty good Victor Davis Hanson column.
I don't get it. Whatever he was trying to do, it didn't work.
Close air support is important, but in light of quotes like the above I become aware of how difficult it is to properly use it in places like Afghanistan or in places where there are active insurgencies in general.
If Bush had done things right to begin with, none of those Afghanistan families and children would have needed to be blown up now. Obama is simply fixing Bush's mistakes. His randomness is an attempt to be thorough.
About goddam time.
Everybody whose surprised raise your hands. We'd like to weed out the idiots. From the link -
Let me translate this for the folks who swallowed Obama's jism Hope and Change sleight of hand. Gitmo is not being closed, it's being relocated. Insert Pete Townsend lyrics here.
Oh fuck. More and more it appears my first thoughts of the appropriate responses (destroy infrastucture, remove (not replace) the government and leave with the admonition "We can do this any fucking time we want".
Arrogant cops overreacting. Who'd a thunk it?
If this piece of anti-competitive cartel protection legislation passes, I'm going to be on Dem and Obama supporters like stink on shit.
As the details emerge, expect me to repeat my comment immediately above.
Somebody found an underserved and prfitable market without the governments help. That's never happpenrd before.
Not very.
"Why do they target the Taliban inside the village?" he asked wearily. "Why don't they bomb them when they are outside the village?"
For the same reason Bonnie and Clyde robbed banks. You rob banks because that's where money accumulates. You bomb the Taliban in the village because that's where they accumulate.
I don't see what's so abusive about that prisoner pic. We used to hang upside down and naked of the side of our bunk beds all the time when we were kids. It was fun! Used to drive Mom nuts. She wouldn't even come in our rooms. Made Dad deal with it.
I was left confused and vaguely ashamed.
There've been VDH columns here and there I've found acceptable mostly because they were obvious.
Has anyone read any of his classical history? Worth any attention?
I don't get it. Whatever he was trying to do, it didn't work.
Solana, P Brooks, ... I hope you are joking about not getting it, but here are some hints -- it is an excellent send-up of Obama *and* the fawning press coverage he receives.
"The Tamil Tigers give up"
for now
if there's no attempt to give some kind of regional autonomy
they'll be back pretty soon
but as usual there will be no international pressure to do this and Sri Lanka sure won't do anything
"? More prisoner abuse photos leak."
The photos in that article were additional Abu Ghraib photos, which, per the article itself, were already leaked in 2006.
(I think that's the first time I've seen a pic of Megan Ambuhl, though)
Kolohe: Maybe I misread the story, but the impression I got from this article and others was that SBS acquired the photo in 2006 but did not show it to the public until now.
Mr. Walker:
I think I've seen some of them before; but they could be new, and just look like ones that have been previously released because they are likely from the same 'roll of film'.
Oh, OK...'cos I could only get through three sentences before I threw up and passed out. I think the phrase 'sargasm' applies (to the article, not my comments).
VDH just bent over most of the MSM. I hope their asses bleed for weeks.
Bilderberg group is a conspiracy theory, that article was a lie!
The writer covering Bilderberg did radio interviews you can surely find on the internest and it is sickening to hear what he is experiencing. Unless he's an actor, the fear, frustration, anger and helplessness are hard to listen to if you are worried about liberty of any sort. Select groups of financiers and government meeting together sounds a lot like the other link regarding corporate coming on board with politicians. What could possibly go wrong there?

He's pretty good at describing battles and sometimes at drawing conclusions from them. I thought "Carnage and Culture" was a manly attempt at defending a thesis that was clearly wrong. I liked "Ripples of Battle," which was less ambitious.
That will not mean a major influx
