Timothy Cole's Name Is Finally Cleared
Though a repeat rapist confessed to the crime in 1995, prosecutors refused to reopen Cole's case. He died in 1999, his family says due to his inability to get proper treatment for his asthma while he was incarcerated.
Cole was formally vindicated yesterday, 10 years after his death.

"Rehabilitation".
It was a well-known Soviet administrative remedy.
Those prosecutors, has there been any effort to restrict their airways?
You see? The system works. It's sometimes a little slow, backwards, and downright corrupt, but that's a small price to pay. Besides, he probably would have eventually broken some law anyway, as people with asthma often do, so it was all for the best.
They still wouldn't reopen the case after someone else confessed? Before I started reading Balko I would have been shocked. Today, I'm just like, eh, it's Wednesday.
Hi, Billy "Boy" Beck.
Haven't heard any of your retarded musings for awhile.
How's the anarchist revolution coming? Any better than than piece of shit website you run?
Have a nice day.
Now that that's out of the way,
WTF is wrong with Texas prosectors?
I know, I know. The system and the voters reward convictions, especially in high profile cases, so justice takes a back seat. See Ted "pork barrel" Stevens for further evudence.
"How's the anarchist revolution coming?"
It got voted down in November, you fucking imbecile.
Have an ice day.
Read my book, "How to Make Enemies and Infuriate Ideologically Obsessed, Marginally Sane People".
You lying shit: you couldn't write a book.
You wouldn't know, moron. You've never read one.
Oh, I feel the love....
prosecutors refused to reopen Cole's case
Why the fuck is it up to the prosecutors? Doesn't a convict have the right to file an appeal whether the prosecutor likes it or not?

Thanks again Radley,
Your work is much appreciated and the lack of response to it is more that of approval because your work is so cut and dried.
Feedback is important, so here it is. Your posts are the brightest (although they inform us of the dismal) in the array. Mostly irrefutible, so posters mostly take your word. That is perhaps the greatest compliment.
Keep it coming.
The whole thing is so tragic, I haven't been able to come up with a coherent response.
