Work From Home! Look at Porn All Day!
Thanks to a $150,000-a-year earmark sponsored by Rep. Frank Wolf (R-Va.), the anti-porn group Morality in Media has been paying two retired cops to review complaints about sexually explicit online material and decide whether they should be referred to the Justice Department for obscenity prosecutions:
In the last few years, 67,000 citizens' complaints have been deemed legitimate under the program and passed on to the Justice Department and federal prosecutors.
The number of prosecutions resulting from those referrals is zero.
If you happen to see something really offensive, you can report it at ObscenityCrimes.org, although keep in mind that filing false complaints can expose you to criminal prosecution. And since "men are particularly vulnerable to pornographic addiction," the site warns, they shouldn't go looking for stuff to report. Leave that to the professionals.
