Last week, video of a drug raid in Columbia, Missouri caught fire on the Internet, garnering at last count some 950,000 views on YouTube. Reason Senior Editor Radley Balko looks at the investigation leading up to the raid, and explains that for all the outrage it has inspired, the only thing unusual about the raid is that it was captured on video and released to the press. Nearly everything else about the raid, including the violence, is similar to the 100-plus drug raids carried out each day in America.
