Man . . . the invention of photography didn’t come soon enough.
Sometimes, the portrait artist got bored....
Blackman states that Justice Blair died on October 25, 1795
From the Federal Judicial Center's "Biographical Directory of Federal Judges":
Blair, John, Jr.
Born: 1732 in Williamsburg, VA
Died: August 31, 1800, in Williamsburg, VA
From the Supreme Court Historical Society website:
"Blair died on August 31, 1800, at the age of sixty-eight."
Posting clearly incorrect Supreme Court facts with a link to your Supreme Court book....that's a bold sales move. I recommend posting a series of court packing pieces, which will knock this post to page 2, where you can then change it without most readers realizing even knowing it was originally wrong (because who goes to page 2 of a website?!).
Today's Noble Prize for achievement in identifying error in Today In Supreme Court History is awarded to QuantumBoxCat.
Congratulations, QuantumBoxCat. The numerosity of the en-Nobel-ed does not diminish the brilliance or merit associated with this award.
