Podcast on Barry Friedman's new book, 'Unwarranted'
I recently recorded a podcast with Barry Friedman about his new Fourth Amendment book, "Unwarranted: Policing Without Permission." Barry and I debate the main thesis of the book in a pretty interesting back-and-forth. As he wrote on Twitter, we "agreed, disagreed, agreed to disagree, the whole works." The podcast is available for download here. The discussion was expertly moderated by my friend John Malcolm.
Barry is the reporter for the American Law Institute's ongoing project on Principles of the Law, Police Investigations, for which both John and I serve as advisers, and the ideas in Barry's book in some ways provide the frame for the ALI's project.
