Call for proposals, GW Law Review symposium on the CFAA

I'm happy to announce that the George Washington Law Review will be hosting its fall symposium on the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. The Law Review has reserved several slots at the symposium for those who wish to submit a proposal. The Law Review's announcement is here. From the announcement:

Hacking into the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act: The CFAA at 30

On November 6, 2015, The George Washington Law Review will hold its annual symposium. This year, the Law Review and co-organizer Professor Orin Kerr are excited to host a symposium on the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act ("CFAA") in anticipation of its thirtieth anniversary.

The Law Review has already confirmed the participation of an outstanding group of established scholars to present papers at the symposium. In an effort to promote new ideas and hear from diverse perspectives, the Law Review has also reserved several slots for individuals who wish to submit a proposal to present a paper about the CFAA at the symposium.

The Law Review is now accepting proposals from anyone interested in participating in the symposium by presenting an original work of scholarship about the CFAA. The editors will select from among the submissions received. Every selected paper will be published in Volume 84 of the Law Review.

If you are interested in participating, please submit a topic statement, abstract, and any additional materials via email to [e-mail] with "CFAA Symposium Proposal" in the subject line. Submissions are due by July 1, 2015. Selections will be completed by late July. Finished articles will be limited to 8,000 words, with a working draft due in late October and a final draft due in early 2016. Any topic related to the CFAA is welcome.

If selected, the Law Review will reimburse all reasonable travel and lodging costs to participate in the symposium, an opening dinner on November 5, and a closing reception.
