In doing research for the How have Christians and non-Christians fared before the Supreme Court in RFRA and RLUIPA cases? post, I looked at the lower court opinions in the case that became Sossamon v. Texas (2011) (the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act sovereign immunity case). And it turns out that the case's actual title - as set forth in the petitioner-prisoner's complaint, and as recorded in the Court of Appeals decision - was actually:
