Mike Rowe on Well-Paying Dirty Jobs, Nonprofit Whiskey, and Male Decline
The country's favorite blue-collar champion calls attention to the 'skills gap' and asks why young men spend so much time online.
HD DownloadMike Rowe is a bestselling author, Emmy winner, and podcaster best known for his stint hosting The Discovery Channel's long-running Dirty Jobs, where he performed the sort of work we all rely on but don't want to think about too much.
From cleaning septic tanks to putting hot tar on roofs to disposing of medical waste, he's done it all—and loves to talk about the value of the hard, honest work that he thinks is devalued by a society fixated on sending everyone to college. I caught up with Rowe at FreedomFest, an annual gathering held this year in Memphis.
We talked about how his mikeroweWORKS Foundation matches young people interested in learning trades with employers dying for applicants, why men continue to fall farther behind women in school and work, and how Knobel Whiskey, named after Mike's maternal grandfather, is fueling his nonprofit's impact.

Mike Rowe used to be a host on QVC. I could see him hawking Mike the Sea Lion.
I want to see him as a porno spokesman for Apple.
You think we might see Tim cook up something like the iPlug?
Not even Steve would do those jobs.
Great article, Mike. I appreciate your work, I’m now creating over $35,500 dollars each month simply by doing a simple job online! I do know You currently making a lot of greenbacks online from $28,500 dollars, its simple online operating jobs.

I'm making $90 an hour working from home. I never imagined that it was honest to goodness yet my closest companion is earning sixteen thousand US dollars a month by working on the connection, that was truly astounding for me, she prescribed for me to attempt it simply.
Everybody must try this job now by just using this website... http://www.Payathome7.com
Used to be a big fan of Mike Rowe and even donated to MikeRoweWorks foundation on multiple occasions.
But then I saw him trash talking tech workers as being in a day care and not doing real jobs.
I then realized Mike is a piece of crap hypocrite as is every other celebrity. Mike is to ignorant to even know that most of those tech workers being pampered at their jobs ARE "trade workers" that he pretends to promote. Most don't have University degrees, and instead get tech certifications (if that). They are a perfect example of how in demand the trades are, in that companies would bend over backwards to hire them. Information Systems Infrastructure engineers are literally running cables and lifting heavy gear, etc. They straddle the line between Blue and White collar jobs. Software engineers often don't have more than a high school diploma, and learned their skills online, Etc. But since those people don't get filthy at work, and instead get catered lunches Mike disses them in some sort of toddlers (while he himself gets catered lunches and pampered everywhere he goes).
He doesn't care about the trades, or that colleges are exploiting kids. That much is clear by his ignorance on the issue. He just cares about virtue signaling and earning a buck by pitting blue collar workers against white collar workers in an us vs. them divide.
Working from home, I earn $90 per hour. https://geometrydash.io
People began to spend a lot of time on the Internet because for the first time it began to bring benefits and not just entertainment. Are we talking about average white men over 30? Now, no normal guy would choose a hard and dirty job if he could get the same amount through the Internet. Do you want an example? It's easier than ever. Look at the description of the principle of operation of a bitcoin casino. Bitcoin has gone through all the stages of forming itself as a means of payment. there are many people who have mined this crypto themselves and can sell it or use it in some other way. that is, the entrance to such a business is small. No sales plan, no bosses. Well, have you already understood why normal people began to choose online earnings?
