Eisenhower's Military-Industrial Complex Speech in the Age of Coronavirus
The 1961 speech by President Dwight Eisenhower foreshadowed the current government's response to COVID-19.
HD DownloadIn his 1961 farewell address, President Dwight D. Eisenhower warned against federal overreach during times of national crises.
"Whether foreign or domestic, great or small, there is a recurring temptation to feel that some spectacular and costly action could become the miraculous solution to all current difficulties," he said.
"Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields…Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity."
In this video, we looked at how Eisenhower's warnings can be applied to the government's current response to COVID-19.

This Eisenhower character sounds like he just wants to sacrifice individual lives for greed.

Working for an aerospace/ defense contractor I can tell you that's 100% spot on.
Ike would be called an 'extremist' today.
My oh my where has great leadership gone in America, North America and the West in general?
This will go down as one of the greatest over reactions in history I reckon.
An 'extremist', maybe? More than likely he'd be called a lot worse. As the first president faced with a million illegal aliens per year entering the US from Mexico, he dealt with the law breakers like any great general would. In what was dubbed "operation wetback" 1200 Border Patrol Agents, combined with local law officials, sealed the border before sweeping up 3 million illegals for deportation. Problem solved.
We have failed, pretend leaders now. They don't seem to act on behalf of the people.
Thanks for sharing this blog with us. This is very helpful for explain how we save our future savings by the help of elder law attorney schemes.

His speech was the result of the Deep State thwarting his "Crusade for Peace" by sabotaging a U-2 spy plane. This remains a great secret of the Cold War:
