Pope Bashing
Back in 1992, Sinead O'Connor ripped up a photo of Pope John Paul II on SNL to draw attention to sexual abuse in the Catholic church (what ever happened to her, anyway?).
Last week, Bill Maher let loose on the current pope. In addition to calling the Catholic Church the "Bear Stearns of organized pedophilia," Bill said that former Nazi soldier Pope Benedict XVI "used to be a Nazi."
Tune in to "Real Time with Bill Maher" on HBO tonight (or YouTube tomorrow) to hear him apologize.
