Groundhog Day: 2018

Does the news ever feel like the same thing over and over and over again?

In honor of the Bill Murray classic Groundhog Day, Reason releases this horrifyingly relevant parody about a cycle that never stops.

Written by Austin Bragg, Meredith Bragg, and Andrew Heaton. Featuring Austin Bragg and Andrew Heaton. Produced by Austin Bragg and Meredith Bragg. Edited by Austin Bragg.

    6 more fucking weeks of winter!

  • Elias Fakaname||

    I think winter is going to be a whole lot longer than six ore weeks for the democrats after seeing some of the contents of that memo.

  • Zeb||

    Good. This winter has been lame.

    How did you afford the rights to I Got You Babe? Better not be my webathon donation.

  • H. Farnham||

    Don't worry, they dressed Britches up in a 70's Sonny Bono costume and sent him over to Cher's penthouse to take one for the team. He also got the rights to that 'love after love' song that sounds like whales raping each other... so Bragg's next video could be interesting.

    Had the feeling I've seen this before....

    I insist it be referred to as the Harold Ramis classic.

    I've always said that, in a just world, we'd treat writers like kings and throw money at them -- not actors. Just heard a big-name actor say something along those lines recently but can't remember who it was (possibly Denzel Washington.)

  • MoreFreedom||

    Ramis (also an actor, producer and director) deserves credit for two of the best comedies ever: Groundhog Day and Caddyshack. I thank him. And Bill Murray as well. Lots of laughs.

    Great job Austin/Andrew/Meredith

    I agree. This could easily be expanded; same old Democrat/MSM stories going on for years, based on a fake dossier.

    Seems to me the real collusion, was Putin's hackers getting Hillary emails (including the 20 with Obama suspiciously using an alias, about which he lied) and blackmailed them into appeasement and flexibility (help with allies Syria and Iran, and the uranium deal to start). Just as Obama promised Russian president Medvedev on a hot mic that he'd "have more flexibility after the [2012] elections." After all, why would Clinton look to Russia for dirt (getting nothing from the NSA, CIA and FBI) and why would Russia provide it (other than to help ensure she got elected being a puppet of Putin)? The whole Democrat story is a fraud.

    The Day after Ground Hog Day?

    Is that the movie Al Gore wrote about ground hogs causing global warming and the earth is going to explode?

  • Unlabelable MJGreen||

    Dang, I was hoping he'd continue thinking he is in a loop and get to the part where he suicides to escape it all.

    ...What? Don't judge me!

  • Johnimo||

    One of, if not THE, finest movies ever. How many days does Phil have to repeat before he can break the cycle, learn piano, be there to catch the falling little boy, fix the old ladies flat tire, and help the old man get soup and a warm coat?

    I'm going with about 5500 days. Rise and shine!

  • CatoTheChipper||

    Great punch line at the end!
