Have a Good Trip Explores Psychedelic Celebrities
New documentary features Sting, Sarah Silverman, Anthony Bourdain, Carrie Fisher, and others discussing the good, bad, and ugly of LSD.

Have you ever wondered what it's like to trip on LSD, magic mushrooms, peyote, or other hallucinogenic drugs? Have you ever wondered what it's like for Sting to trip?
The new documentary Have a Good Trip: Adventures in Psychedelics, features the former Police frontman, Sarah Silverman, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Bourdain, Ben Stiller, and many other creative people talking about their good, bad, and ugly experiences with drugs such as LSD, magic mushrooms, peyote, and MDMA.
The film is hosted by Nick Offerman and includes commentary by UCLA's Charles Grob, one of the world's leading experts on growing efforts to use hallucinogens in therapeutic settings.
Director Donick Cary won an Emmy for his work as a writer on Late Night Night with David Letterman and has produced and written for shows such as The Simpsons, Silicon Valley, and Parks and Recreation.
In a wide-ranging conversation with Nick Gillespie, he talks about his own history with psychedelics and the need for serious, open, and well-informed conversations about substances that are routinely described as life-changing.
Have a Good Trip is a fascinating look at the past, present, and future of mind-expanding drugs and anyone interested in—or worried by—the neo-psychedelic movement can watch it now on Netflix.

Nobody cares what “celebrities “ think.
The wonder is that they think they can think at all.

Have you ever wondered what it's like to trip on LSD, magic mushrooms,
Done it.
Have you ever wondered what it's like for Sting to trip?
No, why would anyone wonder what it's like for Sting to trip?
And Sarah Silverman? Is this pre-problematic Silverman or post-problematic Silverman?
I did once wonder what its like for Stuart Copeland to trip but that was at an Oysterhead show and I was trippin hard and he was out from behind his kit to sing Wield the Spade.
You can watch on Youtube here: Oysterhead - 2/15/2020 LIVE "Wield the Spade"

LSD, DMT, and mushrooms are all pretty good. Personally I preferred LSD but it's hard to come by in most of the places I've lived and it's tough to find a two day period of time that I can completely lose my mind. I'm probably too old for that shit these days as well, I already got what I wanted out of it as a 'youth'.
And also, I have never wondered about any celebrities use of those substances since my own personal experiences were far more interesting. I doubt Sting's trips were any better, although I wager they've probably done a lot more of it than I have.
>>too old for that shit these days as well
never!
I just mean my mind was already expanded, man, and there are diminishing returns on transformative experiences.
At least that was my experience with my lengthy foray into substance use.
There's no reason to believe this is true for everyone, in fact I'd be the first to say those who tripped with me came away from it with very different opinions of those years.
Oh, and once I retire (which is still a long ways away) I see no reason why I wouldn't take the occasional throw-back LSD trip. I doubt my calendar will be as busy then.
Shit, by the time I retire maybe I'll be super lucky and it will be legal.
>>it will be legal.
by then they'll find they should have been prescribing psychedelics to the elderly since the days of Timothy Leary. mdma at the very least
You must be really tripping if you're talking with Carrie Fisher and Anthony Bourdain.
Might as well talk to Cary Grant, Henry Luce and his wife Clare Boothe Luce. They were LSD pioneers.
Of all the drugs I took in my misspent youth, DMT was the most incredible!
It would make your trip more than 10 tabs of LSD, but it only lasted 15 to 30 minutes.
Yeah, but you're also just about certain to puke. Of course, it was the most fun I've ever had puking I suppose.
I was surprised to find out how powerful a celebrity's ability is, to turn such an interesting subject in such vapid and banal trash.
See Greta Thunberg.
At first glance, I thought it was Finnish standup comedian Ismo in that shot.
