Kelvey Vander Hart is a communications specialist at Reason Foundation and Reason magazine.
Vander Hart comes to Reason after many years working in politics, communications, and policy. A Des Moines, Iowa native, she served on campaigns and within the state legislature before moving to Kansas City and working with the Show-Me Institute, Missouri's leading state-based free-market think tank. Upon her return to Iowa, Vander Hart worked in communications consulting, specializing in energy and environmental issues.
As a writer, Vander Hart has had her work featured in publications across the country. Her environmental and energy work continues to be regularly featured in publications like C3 Magazine and The Saltwater Chronicles. She is currently a senior fellow in animal welfare policy at The Wilberforce Institute, a think tank dedicated to market-based animal welfare solutions.
