Pot prohibitionists frequently warn that legalization will mean more blood on the asphalt as stoned drivers take to the roads, so fixated on picking up Doritos and donuts at the 7-Eleven that they are oblivious to minivans full of kids and little old ladies crossing the street. But if more pot smoking means less drinking, says Jacob Sullum, legalizing marijuana could make the roads safer.
