Brickbat: Cool Down
The New York City Council has passed a bill that would require landlords to provide air conditioning or cooling systems in tenants' apartments upon request at no charge. The bill, which still requires the mayor's approval, would also require landlords who control building temperatures to keep apartments cooled to 78 degrees between June 15 and September 15 each year.

In a story you will never see, NYC passes law requiring A/C companies and A/C technicians to provide apartment owners free units and support.
Wow NYC has really gone off the cliff!
Forcing property owners to provide a "convenience" for nothing which costs them a large sum could never go wrong.
Do they have statistics that show people living in apartments with temps of 80 F are dying or are in danger somehow?
Doesn't NYC have an issue with empty buildings now?
The WEF is licking it's chops, you will own nothing and be happy!
If the owners control the building temps ensuring folks do not freeze to death, I can understand, but being uncomfortable inside during summer? No way.
Luckily I recently learned that increases in demand for power doesn’t raise costs, so just make the power company give landlords the extra electricity for free and everything should be fine.
...because of course; 'GUNS' (Gov-Guns) make Air Conditioning too! /s

Can these people not go to Walmart and buy an AC and put it in a window?
