What's Happening to Canada?
Plus: CCP police station in NYC, Rotherham rape scandal, McDonald's scraps DEI nonsense, and more...

Trudeau resigns: I cannot believe I am being forced to care about Canada right now. They call their cops Mounties you know. Absurd people facing an absurd political crisis. Let's dig in.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has, over his nine-year reign, become terribly unpopular. He resigned yesterday. This was semiexpected because all relevant opposition parties had vowed to mount challenges to his leadership come late January/early February, and because Trudeau's finance minister quit last month after the two clashed.

Canadians are pissed off, like so many others around the world, with the high cost of living, which they attribute to Trudeau. Earlier in his term, he prioritized climate change–related initiatives (like a costly carbon tax) and catering to Indigenous groups. He's prioritized letting in lots of immigrants, which many Canadians have soured on. When the pandemic hit, provincial governments imposed economically ruinous lockdowns, and Trudeau himself imposed a vaccine mandate for all those entering the country, as well as the entire federal work force. The vaccine mandate for all border-crossers, which was in place from October 2021 to October 2022, spurred the Canadian trucker convoy, an occupation of Ottawa that attempted to protest the government to change this freedom-trampling policy. Trudeau's response was to freeze the bank accounts of people involved, in an attempt to suppress the peaceful dissent.
When he first came to power in 2015, the nepo baby (son of another former prime minister) was widely admired due to his purported good looks and charm. When Donald Trump took office in the U.S. in January 2017, Trudeau quickly positioned himself as a foil to Trump, earning adoration from America's #Resistance left. Now, those people's opinions don't really matter (if they ever did at all), and normal Canadians have seen first-hand the impacts of Trudeau's policies. He sees the writing on the wall and is attempting to minimize the damage to his party.
"This country deserves a real choice in the next election and it has become clear to me that if I'm having to fight internal battles, I cannot be the best option in that election," he said in a press conference yesterday. In order to do that, he's prorogued Parliament—suspending it without dissolving it.
"To allow his party's thousands of members to choose his successor, a lengthy process that will involve campaigning, Mr. Trudeau suspended Parliament until March 24. A general election is expected to follow," reports The New York Times. "Holding a party leadership election before a general one is par for the course in countries with parliamentary systems like Canada's. Suspending Parliament to hold such an election is far less common. By doing so, Mr. Trudeau wards off the likely collapse of his minority government and gives the Liberals time to choose a leader unburdened by his dismal poll numbers." In other words: Suspending Parliament is a political ploy to stop the bleeding and help his allies stay in power.
This final act seems par for the course for a man who prefers playing politics to crafting sound policy. It's possible someone more freedom-appreciating will replace him (though I'm pretty sure 90 percent of the population qualifies as more freedom-appreciating than Trudeau). But this comes at a difficult time for Canada, as Trump mulls slapping 25 percent tariffs on all Canadian goods, partially blaming our northern neighbors for an influx of migrants and fentanyl. It remains to be seen whether Trudeau will be replaced with someone better and whether Canadians can dig themselves out of this terrible economic hole that's been wrought by seemingly endless government spending.
Scenes from New York: The Department of Justice has released information about 60-year-old Chen Jinping pleading guilty "to conspiring to act as an illegal agent of the government of the People's Republic of China (PRC), in connection with opening and operating an undeclared overseas police station, located in lower Manhattan, for the PRC's Ministry of Public Security (MPS)," calling such actions "a clear affront to American sovereignty." Ya think?
"At least 100 such stations have been reported worldwide across 53 countries, with rights groups accusing China of using the outposts to threaten and monitor Chinese nationals abroad," reports the BBC. Naturally, "China has denied that they are police stations, saying they are 'service stations' providing administrative services to nationals overseas." Sure.
QUICK HITS
- In case you missed it: Elon Musk has been tweeting about the Rotherham rape scandal that was exposed more than a decade ago, bringing fresh eyes to these heinous crimes (and, in some cases, the lack of sufficiently harsh prosecution). Pundits like Matt Yglesias have been acting like it's ludicrous for people on today's right to act like this story was in any way suppressed by the mainstream media at the time. I think this take (by @eyeslasho) is pretty good, though I'll admit I did not follow the story at the time:
I was reading the same media you were reading then, and I was writing about the story, and I clearly remember how it was under-reported or (more typically) not fully reported. You rarely saw raw figures on the full extent of the abuse (or ethnicity-specific figures on the…

- Investor/political activist Bill Ackman is expected to make the case to President-elect Donald Trump for why the president should abolish government-sponsored enterprises Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. "The details of any plan to release the GSEs from government control get fiendishly complicated very quickly, as technocrats argue over such issues as liquidation preferences, credit risk transfer instruments, and corporate credit ratings," reports Axios. "The result has been a quagmire and a continuation of government ownership for much longer than originally intended."
- "The decision to block U.S. Steel's acquisition by Nippon Steel is the perfect coda to President Joe Biden's political career," writes Reason's Eric Boehm. "By intervening in the private business affairs of the two companies, Biden is demonstrating once again his expansive view of executive power, hubristic sense of government's ability to order economic affairs, and willingness to stretch the definition of 'national security' to justify his big government agenda even when there is plainly no national security threat."
- Yesterday, the U.S. election results were peacefully certified without interruption. Donald Trump will be sworn in two weeks from now.
- McDonald's is stepping back from its diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Hilarious details from Bloomberg.
- "Less than a decade ago, colleges and universities were trusted by 57 percent of Americans and in fairly bipartisan fashion," writes Kristen Soltis Anderson for The New York Times. "Today, Republican trust in higher education has cratered to only 20 percent, and Democrats' has also trended downward, though at a slower pace."

I cannot believe I am being forced to care about Canada right now.
I care equally about all our states.
We need to stop calling it the 51st state. Make it a territory. No voting rights. Like Guam.
But how many people on one side of Canada could cause it to tip over?
Have you ever seen Greenland on a map? It's as big as the US!
My map doesn't show it. It also shows Alaska as a large island to the Southwest.
Wait, Canada is at risk of tipping over too? Now I am concerned.
The Canadians are all amassed right along the US border waiting to pounce.
A majority of them live south of the 49th anyway.
As long as we get the strategic maple syrup depository. (A real thing)
It's called Maine.
Michigan's Upper Peninsula would like a word, as would Vermont. 🙂
Next time I meet up with some Yoopers, I'll ask 'em.....eh?
>>Michigan's Upper Peninsula
pussy Wisconsin never shoulda given that up.
Blame Ohio.
The best part is we got it for giving up Toledo.
good trade although the Mud Hens are a historic attraction.
Yes, which suffered a massive theft 12 years ago.

I thought they canceled Mrs. Butterworth.
That was Aunt Jemima.
idk if you're allowed to say that online anymore.
Eh, they all look the same.
They should have transitioned her to Uncle Jemimah. No one would have dared to complain.
What about Aunt Ben?
Liz expressing how the rest of the country feel about the denizens of NYC.
I don’t know what’s happening in Canada, but I suspect some Canadians are going to blame Trump for it.
They're not even a real country anyway.
With all their hockey hullabaloo
And that bitch Anne Murray too
she can't help herself she falls in love with you
Curling remains the biggest threat to civilation.
So where will they flee to?
Nunavurbusiness!
Yukon count on that.
If they want prompt medical care, due south.
England will take it over and save them.
Yukon Hillary is offering to take California, Oregon and Washington off our hands. Throw in New England and it's a done deal.

I don’t think Canadians would want those states as they actually aren’t terribly woke. England would be a better fit.
Earlier in his term, he prioritized climate change–related initiatives (like a costly carbon tax) and catering to Indigenous groups.
Get woke, go broke.
Liz didn't mention Trudeau's EO gun bans.
Justin Trudeau
@JustinTrudeau
Update: People can no longer buy, sell, or transfer handguns within Canada – and they cannot bring newly acquired handguns into the country.

Everyone is ignoring it now because Poilievre said they're going to terf it on day one.
That’s the apple guy, right? Is he really going to be the next PM or is that just wishful thinking by some? And that awesome video aside, is he good?
Yes. He's excellent. He's like if Trump could stay on topic and was focused.
And yeah, unless a war or something happens, he will be the next PM. He's polling at 55% right now which is unprecedented in Canada's multi-party system.
War? Who are you guys jousting with?
Currently? Whoever Davos tells us to. We are shoveling huge piles of cash into the Ukraine money laundering op.
If he becomes PM, that is great news for Canadians. I'll have to ride up to Creston, BC and have a Kokanee to celebrate.
I loved that beer when I was a young teen. All my t-shirts had the Kokanee logo. I think it was because of the name.
Visited Creston on our honeymoon, unfortunately the brewery was closed to tours because they were remodeling.
As another aside, dealing with Canadian alcohol, my Grandpa in the 1920 and 30s lived in Bonners Ferry and logged in the Cabinet mountains. When he was short on cash he would walk across the Canadian border stock up on Canadian whiskey and bootleg it across the border. Which is kinda amazing because by the time my mother was born, he was a fairly straight laced Mormon.
1990's version - Kid Cannabis.
He also would fill the deer tags for widows and single mothers in the area, despite that being illegal in Idaho.
I knew plenty of LDS types who would never let their religion get in the way of business.
He wasn't LDS at the time. He converted after marrying my Grandma.

I completely forgot Castro was Cuba's Prime Minister.

The world’s cringiest authoritarian is finally on the way out.
So it’s farewell to Canada’s first black prime minister.
Yes, Justin Trudeau – the man who proved that in these topsy-turvy political times you can be a liberal and an authoritarian, and painfully woke while also having spent much of your youth in black face – has finally resigned.
Fidel Castro's bastard son.
Randy, baby!
Not too sure how true or not that is, but Pierre Elliot Trudeau was a piece of work as well.
I'd say it's more likely than not, for the same reason Chelsea Clinton is probably Webb Hubbell's biological daughter; he looks eerily like Castro, and that's not an exaggeration.
"You cannot defend yourself with a gun in Canada." Justin Castreau
But so dreamy!

If you're going on a date with someone, and thinking that you might like to have sex with them, that is important.

https://babylonbee.com/news/trudeau-to-be-humanely-euthanized
OTTAWA — Amid growing public outcry across the country, the Canadian government announced that embattled Prime Minister Justin Trudeau would be humanely euthanized after his resignation.
The announcement revealed that, in accordance with what has become a Canadian tradition, the old, unuseful prime minister would be quietly put out of his misery to prevent him from becoming a burden to his fellow citizens.
"He has lived a full life but has now exceeded his usefulness," said Benjamin Cloutier, a spokesman for the Canadian government's Department of Euthanasia. "We are thankful for Mr. Trudeau's service and have assured him that he will meet his end peacefully and painlessly. It's the Canadian way, eh?"
Trudeau was stoic in a brief statement confirming the end of his life. "We put up a good fight, but what are you going to do?" he said. "We achieved a lot of historic things under our leadership. Most of them were just really, really awful, but historic nonetheless. I am honored to have served as prime minister and bid all Canadians a fond farewell. So long, folks."
Following his formal resignation, Trudeau was expected to have a brief reception with family and close friends at a local Tim Horton's for coffee and donuts before being escorted by government agents to his final resting place.
At publishing time, Canadian officials revealed that memorial services for Trudeau would be held later in the week, where citizens could look forward to ice fishing, lacrosse, a pancake social, and the traditional 21-moose salute.
Releasing him on an iceberg like what happened to Scott the Dick?
I’m not your buddy, guy.
I'm not your guy, buddy.
Don’t be silly, that’s just a cartoon. Canada has no dicks. All the people that live there are nice, eh?
Trudeau's response was to freeze the bank accounts of people involved, in an attempt to suppress the peaceful dissent.
That fiery Castro blood.
It's spelt "Castreau".
Recently revised to 'Castrateau'.
Elon Musk has been tweeting about the Rotherham rape scandal that was exposed more than a decade ago, bringing fresh eyes to these heinous crimes...
Elon pounces.
Happened a decade ago, is still going on. Tomato, tamahto.
And for two decades.
*Thousands* of girls... *and their families and caretakers*... and people who blew the whistle... groomed, assaulted, raped, and forcibly silenced for nigh on two decades "more than a decade ago"? Facts were reported.
Trump allegedly
rapedsexually assaulted a woman who lies for money in a department store 30 yrs. ago? Haul every alleged victim out of the woodwork and put them on the stands until Trump is penniless, locked behind bars, and justice is done!*Thousands* of girls... *
I’ve heard estimates up to 250,000 but I don’t know if that’s accurate.
The timeframe is long enough that it's not impossible. At a 20 year scandal that's 12,000 a year across all England.
And they’re still arresting people for speaking out about it.
Just saving democracy, dude.
Time to sharpen the scythes, string the long bows and get out the pitch forks and torches (one each, form an orderly line, no pushing, there's plenty for everyone. You there, I said one per person. Now, everyone set, step off and the left foot. Wait for it, wait for it. March).
Trudeau quickly positioned himself as a foil to Trump, earning adoration from America's #Resistance left.
Those from Canada can comment; Isn't hating America mainstream Canadian politics? Their football teams have a limit on how many Americans can play on them. They shit on "American melting pot" and call themselves a "mosaic". Despise any "American style" (private) healthcare. The CBC limits the amount of American shows that can be played on Canadian TV. Recent Bill C11 does the same for internet (aka youtube).
When Canadians travel they introduce themselves as "Not American."
Unless they want to watch American parades and fireworks during July 4 celebrations. 100's show up wearing RW&B in my little town.
A maple leaf on backpacks has been a thing on Europe vacations since the sixties at least
I have been seriously harassed (nothing violent, just rudeness and name calling) for being American in Europe before (and once for being British by a Parisian north African), and as soon as I said I was Canadian they always stopped and just looked confused.
What about in Tehran?
I guess I can understand not knowing regional dialects as a European, or maybe your accent is minimal or non-existent, but what do people over there think an American sounds like I wonder. A Texan? A New Yorker? A Bostonian? A Minnesotan?
They don't have a great excuse if they speak English themselves though. There are so many different English accents that it would take all day to list them all, and a whole lot of them are not American.
I wonder if they would even notice if an Indian from the United States had a Boston accent or if they would just assume that's an Indian accent.
This will help answer your question.
"what do people over there think an American sounds like"
An Uzi?
That's the Jewish ones. The German Americans sound like an MP-10 and the Swedish like a Swedish K. The British Americans sound like a Sten gun. Everyone else sounds like a grease gun or Tommy Gun.
But that's just as kids, when our voices change, American men all sound like Ma-Deuce.
Until they need Health care then they come down
"Those from Canada can comment; Isn't hating America mainstream Canadian politics?"
No. It's Laurentian corridor politics, which is Canada's name for it's beltway elites. And they picked it up from listening to the American left, who they emulate in every way they can.
Seriously, everything negative they believe about America they got from Americans.
Mainstream Canadians hate other Canadian regions, sometimes with good reason, more than they do Americans.
Find a Quebecer who hates America more than they do Alberta or Ontario.
Find a Western Canadian who hates America more than they do Quebec.
You'd find it impossible.
In Western Canada's defense, Quebec is full of French Canadians. The French, from my experience, loathe French Canadians more than virtually anybody else.
And vice versa.
The problem is that (like American Blacks), the Quebecois were impoverished and heavily exploited by Quebec Anglos pre-1960s, and now they think everyone who speaks English owes them reparations.
Western Canada, who has their own exploitation issues with the east, doesn't play along which makes them very mad.
The French however, hate the Quebecois because they are crude, unsophisticated and earthy in comparison. Very much the good ol' boys of la Francophonie.
The Quebecois are incredibly obnoxious as a political group, but the life of the party on a personal, human level. They're kinda like Cajuns crossed with French peasants.
I worked with a woman from France who didn't want to visit Montreal with her young son, lest he pick up some of that dirty Canadian French.
Tabarnak!
My French teacher in high school said that the Canadians try and act like they are more French than the French and try to use a more "pure" form of the language that nobody outside of French Canadians use, with basically zero words in any other language being involved.
"Le hot dog" becomes "le chien chaude", according to her. She found that quite insulting.
There's a WFMU program hosted by DJ Perro Caliente.
I had a nice visit to Montreal a few years back. Notre-Dame Basilica, the architecture of the city, the Olympic Stadium, and (of course) the maple syrup, were worth the three days. I didn't interact with very many locals though, as it was frigidly cold (not tourist season) even by Michigan/Canadian standards, leaving the streets fairly empty.
I worked with a woman from France who didn't want to visit Montreal with her young son, lest he pick up some of that dirty Canadian French.
My best friend is fluent in French, and he can immediately spot when someone is from Quebec just from their dialect.
Which isnt all that surprising.
The equivalent being us able to quickly tell whether someone is from NY, Boston, New Orleans, Posh-London, South-London, or is an Aussie/Kiwi from honestly very few words or sentences, despite the fact that they are all speaking English.
That makes sense, although it did surprise the hell out of me at the time when I put on a French-language station from Quebec on Sirius several years ago, and he immediately reacted with a level of disgusted contempt that I wasn't used to hearing from him.
We've got some good friends that grew up on Portugal, and at one party someone's plus-1 was from Brazil. They instantly hit it off and had that "hey we can speak Portuguese to each other!" thing, but then also instantly commented how the other person was speaking the wrong kind of Portuguese.
Well the Cajuns are descended from the Quebecoise, who fled to Louisiana territory after the Seven Years War, so they wouldn't be under British rule.
Only somewhat. They came from Acadia, in the Nova Scotia and New Brunswick (the main reason NB has a francophone population - they're the Acadians who stayed behind). Cajun is short for Acadian, and the parishes in Louisiana where they settled are known as Acadiana.
In New England, Quebecois have lived for generations only they call themselves “French.” Can’t really think of anything they have contributed culturally to the area except for maybe hockey, but I’ve never seen poutine on a menu there.
If you want to go to the most French city in America though, go to Woonsocket, RI.
They pretty much assimilated from their migration south from Quebec in the middle of the 19th Century and for some time before and after that peak. Cultural contributions? Well, there was the tobacco biz. Pierre Lorillard's tobacco mill is still on exhibit on the grounds of the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx, in an area known as French Town, which was mostly eminent-domained out of existence to make Bronx Park as part of the Bronx River Parkway. Lorillard's business eventually became part of the tobacco trust that made use of the Bonsack machine that revolutionized cigaret production.
French Town was one of the several enclaves in New York, New Jersey, and southern New England from the migration out of Quebec, and the Bronx River was one of the south-flowing rivers which afforded mills in that region. Largely they were staffed as a result of an economic downturn up north. I know of no similar settlement pattern from north-flowing tributaries of the fleuve Ste.-Laurent.
Where I go fishing every year, about an hour north of Toronto, the locals are super friendly to us. They appreciate the tourism dollars. Over the last few years the urban sprawl has really gone crazy so I wonder if that will change.
You probably also don't tell them that their values and lifestyles are wrong.
...I clearly remember how it was under-reported or (more typically) not fully reported.
Almost like there was a concerted effort to protect a certain group's right to behave as though it is still the 13th century.
And put anybody who would speakout against it in jail for hate speech.
Protecting the Pakistani Muslim community by ignoring the systematic abuse and rape of thousands of young English girls was the only way to hold together the Left coalition of feminists and race essentialists of various hues.
Lie back and think of the end of England.
I'm still appalled why English MEN did not end the systemic abuse themselves. A few dead Muslim Pakis covered in pork chops may have done the trick.
Should've worked with Sikhs. They had been dealing with the Pakistani rape problem for a while before.
Sikhs are usually armed, too. Not sure if there's a religious compunction not to use their kirpan though.
It's my understanding that they usually wear a ceremonial dagger, which isn't sharpened. If it's anything like my NCO sword, the blade is incapable of drawing blood unless it's used as a stabby-stabby, instead of a slashy-slashy. Certainly capable of being lethal, but less so than a sharpened blade.
But every Marine I ever knew bragged the NCO sword is still an authorized combat weapon and some Marine actually killed an NVA soldier or VC with one in Vietnam.
Yes, there are/were absolutely genuine swords, but it would be weird to see them worn on today's battlefields. Especially since most swords are prescribed (in modern times) to be worn with dress uniforms.
I can't find anything about sharpening being either allowed or forbidden in the current Uniform Regulations.
I cannot speak to the regs pre-2000, especially not Vietnam era regs.
I don't know, I just chalked it up to just another Corp hoorah bullshit, along with all y'all's Bromance with Chesty and the fact that there were only 8 Marines at the largest ever amphibious operation the US has ever conducted and they were all shipboard Marines (and the Army conducted more amphibious operations in the Philippines alone than the Marines did during the entire Pacific theater).
Police were threatening them.
There was a case where a father went to get his 16 year old daughter from the home of one of these men. He called the police to help him. Police threatened to arrest him instead.
I understand the threats from police and being unarmed would complicate the situation.
However, there are some things worth prison/dying for. My daughter is at the top of that list.
I fully agree with you. But their attacks against people like Tommy Robinson were effective.
Somebody should ask the hyper-ardent feminists why aren't THEY up in arms over this?
Are girls easily sacrificed on the altar of mass migration?
Couple of pieces on Spikedonline look at the feminist angle.
I can see the Monty Python character with the paper hat, knit vest, and wellies holding a double gun and singing “ Try that in a small town”.
Because English men, like most Eurocucks and through the rest of the British Commonwealth, had their balls fully cut off in the 90s.
England itself is basically a conquered nation at this point, by the Pakistanis and other Middle Eastern flotsam that Tony Blair and his successors started flooding in during that decade.
Was it the fluoride?
Warm beer.
And overcooked beef.
English men have been fighting harder against all this than a lot of Americans have. The problem is that what is happening is actually the fruition a guerilla war by the Davos crowd and Globohomo against the biggest threat to their power, which are the people. The Brits sit on the front line and outside the Blue States, Americans don't.
And even in the blue states, it's nowhere near as bad as it is in the UK. I've been paying a lot of attention to the Lotus Eaters (including Sargon of Akkad) recently in regards to this. It is indeed terrible. Their elites invited these savages (there's no other real term as they area savages) over the decades to settle in the UK, especially in the northern "rust belt" areas in the name of "diversity". Their elites are also far more distant from the working classes than ours are here due to the British class system. Honestly, I don't know how they get out of this short of English Civil War 2.0.
If the refugee transplant stories are anything to go by, the Democrats have been doing their damndest over the last 4 years to accelerate the problem here.
"I'm still appalled why English MEN did not end the systemic abuse themselves."
They tried. The jails are full of "racist" dads and mums who tried to rescue their daughters. And look at how many times they have had to arrest Tommy and his friends.
"A few dead Muslim Pakis covered in pork chops may have done the trick."
That's not how an invasion of Pakistani Jihadi's works. The Muslims in the UK live in massive enclaves of their own and are incredibly violent and fanatical.
They aren't your ordinary Lebanese shopkeeper.
Yeah, I'm looking at this from a well-armed American perspective.
We tolerate urban gangs because generally they only kill each other. Imported Muslims kidnapping and raping American teens wouldn't last too long. This shit would've ended ten years ago.
Don't be over-confident. I am sure officials in plenty of Blue areas would shut down any vigilantism.
Then we shut down the officials in the Blue areas. If we tolerate fucking rape of our girls for a single minute, we've lost.
This deserves vigilantism. x100.
Yeah I don't think most Americans are aware of how batshit crazy the Brits have become. If you criticize a Pakistani rapist you'll spend more time in jail than the rapist.
Same in Germany.
There were some obscure "local" news articles about fathers doing just that, years ago when this shit first started, in some small English towns. I can't find the articles now, but some of those towns did defend themselves and the gangs just magically disappeared (seemingly).
And "...lack of sufficiently harsh punishment?" From what I've heard from British whistleblowers, there was generally NO punishment.
Lots of them said they were sorry, and that they only jacked on the victims...so there really should not be any punishment.
And it was largely ignored by the feminists, who became less focused on women and more on 'woke'.
https://www.spiked-online.com/2025/01/06/the-grooming-gang-scandal-is-a-stain-on-elite-feminism/
The grooming-gang scandal is a stain on elite feminism
The #MeToo movement had nothing to say for the working-class girls who were systematically abused.
That the scandal of so-called grooming gangs is finally gaining the attention it deserves is no thanks to Britain’s elite feminists – the very people you might expect to be standing up for women and girls. The systematic rape and sexual abuse of mainly white working-class girls, many of whom were in local authority care, by groups of mostly Pakistani-heritage men has been known about for decades. But the #MeToo crowd were silent when these stories first emerged and remain largely silent now.
Labour’s Jess Phillips is rightly coming under fire for rejecting Oldham Council’s request to hold a national inquiry into how the rape gangs in that area got away with it for so long. As Lauren Smith pointed out last week on spiked, Phillips’s betrayal stings, not just because she is the UK government’s safeguarding minister, but also because the famously bolshy Brummie ‘poses as a straight-talking, no-nonsense feminist’. Yet her feminism seems to have evaporated on contact with the grooming-gangs scandal.
Still, Phillips is far from the only establishment feminist happy to talk about anything other than grooming gangs. The now thankfully defunct Women’s Equality Party, for years the UK’s ‘only feminist party’, was far more preoccupied with backing gender self-identification than speaking out about the horrors of grooming gangs. It cared more about making sure men in dresses were free to enter women’s toilets and changing rooms than it did about the plight of 11-year-old girls in Telford. Then there’s the Fawcett Society, a charity dedicated to ‘advancing women’s equality since 1866’. Its national conference, happening next month, will feature workshops on ‘tackling the rise of populism’, ‘revolutionising work’ and ‘creating feminist AI’. If there is a session dedicated to tackling systemic sexual abuse of girls perpetrated by mainly Pakistani Muslim men in northern towns, then the organisers are keeping it well hidden.
It simply proves that women should have never been given the vote or to get involved in politics.
Hey, feminism is only for the select few. Other vagina owners can go fuck themselves (or have woke-approved immigrants do it for them).
'Feminist groups' don't really care about the 'sisterhood', they care about politics just like every other political group. Notably, 'working class' types don't generally have the time or money to participate in those types of things, so the self-styled elites who donate and work for those organizations create a monoculture that ignores issues that don't directly effect their in-group of other rich white liberal women.
At least non-profit aid groups have a mission to actually serve people, political groups do not have any such incentive.
The only one with balls over there appears to be MP Suella Braverman.
She's a Braverman than most?
Didn't a judge let one go claiming rape was cultural, and this was just last year
Yes, and I believe more than one.
Like folk knife dancing?
I thought that was Germany. Let's not forget the Danes who locked a woman up for assault after pepper spraying a Muslim immigrant who tried to rape her (so goeth the shieldmaiden culture).
Germany gave a harsher prison sentence to a woman who said mean things online about the rapists in one gang-rape case than all but one of the gang-rapists.
It's getting hard to keep up which European country is doing what to it's native citizens as a result of immigrants rape gangs.
England (and Germany and other parts of Europe) need a new Reconquista.
Not going to accomplish that until you suppress the white leftists in the universities and the government first. You expect immigrants to exercise in-group bias, but white liberals are the only socio-political class that legitimately hate their own kind.
That is a weird nihilist world view. And we would therefor expect the movement to die out quickly.
Most of it notably came from feminists, the queer cult, and "how do you do, fellow whites?" types like Noel Ignatiev and Tim Wise.
Because the racism and religious bigotry of an immigrant population leading to violations of individual people's rights is less important than the imagined potential backlash on the part of the native ethnic population. It is treating group relations as important, not what happens to individuals.
Europe needs to get over a certain Austrian vegetarian painter. Yeah, we get it he was bad, but we can't base our entire society on the off chance our actions might inspire the next one. Ironically, it's probably by ignoring shit like this that the next one will gain power, because he only gained power after the liberal, elite government, that was unpopular with the masses and ignored huge societal problems, failed. Also, a certain Corsican only came to power when several forms of leftist governments failed to keep the economy going.
They need to get over the delusion that enforcing existing (and universal laws) against a dozen immigrants is the same as rounding up millions of people and exterminating them.
But then again, modern leftist thought is based on delusions of exaggerated and inverted morality, so that will never happen.
It seems to be a real argument made in the UK that you can't talk about these things becuase it might embolden bad people. And Enoch Powell gave a speech 50 years ago.
Kind of a super ad hominem argument. Bad people have doubts about immigration, so good people must never even consider that they might have been even partly right.
Pundits like Matt Yglesias have been acting like it's ludicrous for people on today's right to act like this story was in any way suppressed by the mainstream media at the time. I think this take (by @eyeslasho) is pretty good, though I'll admit I did not follow the story at the time:
Wait a minute, did I read that right? Matty Yglesias is being disparaged within the text of Reason? This is something we'd never see from ENB, much less some of the other crew.
Good Liz going after bad Liz's favorite liberal and muse. Cat fight incoming.
Oh oh, are you channeling sarc?
Careful, that could lead to day drinking and uncontrollable shit-posting.
Mocking him at the same time too. Sarc has earned mockery.

Koch-funded libertarians need to do a better job spreading their pro-open-borders message to our Northern neighbors. 🙁
#OpenBordersWillFixEverything
How can Canada have any problems, immigrants make up almost a quater of the entire population? Immigration is 100% benefit with no downside. How can anybody in Canada be unhappy?

OK, food dog sleds, then.

Investor/political activist Bill Ackman is expected to make the case to President-elect Donald Trump for why the president should abolish government-sponsored enterprises Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Barney Frank's disgusting, nipple-protruding tits are rolling over in their grave.
That's OK. I bet Barney was used to rolling over.
Rolling is how you could describe most of his movement.

COINCIDENCE.
The decision to block U.S. Steel's acquisition by Nippon Steel is the perfect coda to President Joe Biden's political career...
Labor union panderings.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/biden-gave-a-major-union-what-they-wanted-and-it-could-blow-up-in-their-face-analyst/ar-AA1x4Mrm
President Joe Biden made good on something the United Steelworkers union wanted him to do, and blocked a $15 billion acquisition of U.S. Steel by the Japanese-based Nippon Steel — but this is not good news for the union, wrote columnist Catherine Rampell for The Washington Post. Indeed, by giving the union what it wanted, Biden may have crippled the U.S. steel industry, and with it, thousands of union jobs he was so keen to protect.
Hey. it's leakin' Joe. What do you expect?
Give ‘em what they want, good and hard.
Not the first time USW has done this either. They threatened a strike back in the late 1970s to get a huge contract from Bunker Hill and Sullivan Mining Company, which closed in 1983 and they launched a year long strike against Kaiser Aluminum in Spokane right as Boeing, their largest purchaser, was cutting production as due to fewer defense contracts in the late 1990s, and Kaiser closed its doors before the strike ended. It's pretty much a given pattern for USW (and both my Dad and little Brother are USW members).
What a blown opportunity to further cement our r'ship with Japan, and have Nippon Steel pay for upgrades to US-based plants.
Everything Brain Damaged Biden touches turns to shit. This is no different.
'I cannot believe I am being forced to care about Canada right now. They call their cops Mounties you know. Absurd people facing an absurd political crisis. Let's dig in.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has, over his nine-year reign, become terribly unpopular. He resigned yesterday.'
Liz, you are supposed to swoon at the sight of Little Castreau, and be so eager to get in his pants (and vice-versa) that you don't care about his policies and actions. Did he lose his animal charm?
He hasn't really been that popular. His party got 34% of the vote last elections. But they over supply parliamentary positions to the urban centers.
But what percent of the cat lady vote (or whatever the Canadian equivalent is)?

The majority of Canadian Males.

Supposedly they stopped cooking their fries in beef tallow after a lawsuit from some Indians.
Should have switched to lard.
Hardly surprising. Don't Indians hold cows as sacred?
Yes, but that's not why McDonald's ceased using beef tallow in the US. It was due to one of the health fads of the time, trying to use seed oils in place of animal fats.
And which is still pushed by the AHA and AMA (along with low sodium diets) despite the evidence that it's actually worse for your cardiac health.
That’s what I thought, until I heard about the lawsuit. Which could have been bullshit.
I heard it was vegetarians who were upset they didn't have any vegetarian options.

Yeah. China doesn't even hide their aspirations really. They have openly bragged with their goal to cripple manufacturing through globalism, yet our politicians love it. They've stated their long term goals is to cripple manufacturing in the west, make us dependent on them, then use that to ramp up their political and economic power.

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/rebeccadowns/2025/01/06/mary-katharine-ham-on-hillary-clinton-getting-medal-n2650012
President Joe Biden handed off the Presidential Medal of Freedom to a whole host of people, including some particularly undeserving ones like George Soros and Hillary Clinton. While in a way, these recipients cheapen the significance of the award, there's another way of looking at it when it comes to Clinton, as Fox News' Mary Katharine Ham pointed out.
Ham offered her thoughts during "Fox News Sunday" of how "I think it's good that Hillary Clinton got this award," which she acknowledged would be surprising to others, adding that "because not a lot of novelists and fiction writers get the award," to laughter from Jacqui Heinrich. "And yet the Hillary Clinton campaign financed and created one of the greatest works of fiction in living memory in the Steele Dossier," Ham continued.
She also went on to remind everyone just how much of a role it had during the 2016 election. "Despite it being total fiction, it enthralled the press, the Intel community, and federal law enforcement for years. And so I applaud her for that work of fiction and am excited about the work she does in the future on her totally fictional presidency," Ham said.
He's prioritized letting in lots of immigrants, which many Canadians have soured on.
The through-line across the whole world has been this. Every leftist party has lost votes specifically because of immigration. It's time to kill the parts of Geneva that make mass immigration possible.
The Geneva conventions never passed congress to become law in the US, and are not self-executing.
I think he's actually referring to the UN Refugee convention, which is the basis of most country's asylum laws (including the US)
Every single bit of it is rooted in decades-long, projected guilt about the Holocaust and the Russian pogroms before that. The narrative since the end of WW2 has been that people in "unsafe" nations need to be allowed to migrate to places that are "safe," or there will be a New Holocaust, which is never supposed to happen again.
Both pretenses aren't based in reality.
The West really needs to get past WWI and WWII to properly face the future. It's been 80 years since the end of WWII. It's time to move forward.
The Soviets, the Chinese, the Khmer Rouge, the Norks, they all proportionally killed far more of their own citizens than the Nazis did. The Japanese tortured and killed POWs. Iraq, The Taliban, Al Qaeda and Hamas are all genocidal. Why is Hitler still the big bad for the left?
Hint: he was white and anti-communist.
International Socialist HATE National Socialist.
So white man's burden?
A blue state governor who pledged to fight Trump administration deportation efforts expressed outrage Monday after a migrant was allegedly caught with nearly $1 million worth of drugs and an AR-15 rifle at a hotel that is being temporarily used as a shelter.
"It’s outrageous that this individual took advantage of our shelter system to engage in criminal activity," Massachusetts Democratic Gov. Maura Healey said in a statement.
https://www.foxnews.com/media/dem-gov-who-vows-fight-trump-border-enforcement-outraged-migrant-using-shelter-criminal-activity
Why couldn't he just remain publicly ignorant.
And for the record, Trump's 51st state won't be the parts of Canada that allow a true landbridge to Alaska, it's Greenland.
With global warming, we can Make Greenland Green Again.
I've really been lax in keeping up with this. What is this fascination with Greenland? I looked it up; population 56,000 or something. Lots of resources, but under a mile of snow.
I understand the king of Denmark wanting this last vestige of glory, but why all this hubbub about buying it as the 51st state?
Control of Arctic shipping lanes. Right now controlled by the Chinese and Russia.
Not just that--the Air Force has had a military base there for decades as part of the intercontinental missile warning system. Trump's making noise about it because it's a legitimate strategic asset that he'd prefer to have more control over.
And fun fact: the US Army also built a prototype base in the Greenland ice sheet, during the Cold War. But it was a bit too cold.
Yeah, if you look at the globe from the north pole you can see the strategic significance of Greenland.
Not just any resources, but rare earth minerals used for a lot of newer technologies, which China currently controls most of.
They aren’t making anymore land, gotta buy it when you can.

Buying in bulk!
'Investor/political activist Bill Ackman is expected to make the case to President-elect Donald Trump for why the president should abolish government-sponsored enterprises Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.'
But cheap mortgages even for people who can't pay them back is a human right!
If people burdened by student loans "deserved" to have them written off so that they could "afford to pay their mortgages", why not just write off the mortgages? I'm 100% sure that will be coming along soon as a Democrat proposal.
Jubilee!
I see the collective memory of 'too big to fail' and govt bailouts of major US banks is very short. Sub prime mortgages in private bank hands? Just bundle a million together and sell it to 'investors'...last one holding the hot potato of shit gets the govt bailout! Oh we all sold them to each other? Everybody gets the bailout!
Look, if were are going to do "Houses for everybody!" again, we should take a lesson from the uber-successful "College for everyone!" program, and just forgive all personal loans.
Waiting for Liz Warren's CFPB to just dictate that no mortgage can be more than 0.1% interest, and no credit card can be more than 0.2% interest, and no mortgage or credit card application can be denied.
[She'd like 0% for both, but recognizes private lenders may need to make a buck.]
[She'd like 0% for both, but recognizes private lenders may need to make a buck.]
Does she? It seems more likely she'll make lending unprofitable and then get the government to make loans to rectify the resulting "market failure". Wasn't that how they took over student loans? So that's step one and step two is to "forgive" loans to groups who overwhelmingly vote left.
And she would hope (plan) that those government "loans" would actually turn into vote-buying gifts.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is moving forward with a regulatory rule in the final days of the Biden administration that would effectively ban cigarettes currently on the market in favor of products with lower nicotine levels, which could end up boosting business for cartels operating on the black market, an expert tells Fox News Digital.

Sarc will be by soon to blame trum nfor making Biden does this like with flavored ecigs.
Again, we need to severely limit what the president can do in the lame duck period. Our norms can only take so much.
"By intervening in the private business affairs of the two companies, Biden is demonstrating once again his expansive view of executive power, hubristic sense of government's ability to order economic affairs, and willingness to stretch the definition of 'national security' to justify his big government agenda even when there is plainly no national security threat."
Best union President ever!
And sets the stage for Trump to use a similar "national security" ruse for other things.
Left is outraged husband of newly sworn in Congress member didn't shake Kamalas hand. Because he was supporting himself with a cane and the other hand was holding the Bible used to swear his wife in.

Nobody does high school brain idiot like Trump. And its not even close. Cmon. He has pet names for near everybody. 'Yesterday, the U.S. election results were peacefully certified without interruption.'
Was Harris too drunk to organize a riot?
Or was her core group of supporters STILL in emotional isolation?
Blizzard stopped all the electric busses. They couldn't move the rioters in.
'Yesterday, the U.S. election results were peacefully certified without interruption.'
Can anyone physically (and mentally) present in DC confirm this? I wouldn't trust the Leftist media to report on it were this false.
Well, they did install massive security measures, exactly like the kind they DIDN'T install when recommended last time.
Almost like the FBI had a bunch of agent provocateurs like Ray Epps trying to actually foment a riot out of a simple protest, or something.
Sunny Hostin, a co-host of ABC’s left-wing talk show program “The View,” said on Monday that the riots that occurred in Washington D.C. on January 6, 2021 were comparable to the Holocaust and slavery.
“I think we need to find moral clarity…I just remember after Jan. 6 you had someone like Mitch McConnell placing the blame on Jan. 6 where it belongs, squarely on Donald Trump’s shoulders,” Hostin began.
“And then, you started seeing people back track that and losing their moral center,” she added before ripping into Condoleezza Rice for remarks she made about the riots on “The View.”
“Jan. 6 was an atrocity. It was one of the worst moments in American history. When you think about the worst moments in American history, you know, like WWII, things that happened, like the Holocaust, chattel slavery, we need to never forget because the past becomes prologue if you forget," she said.
we need to never forget because the past becomes prologue if you forget
More stupid "those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it" bullshit.
Yes, but have you also considered that the past becomes the prologue if you read the book backwards, hmmmm?!?!
I for one am unburdened by what has gone before. Or something along those lines.
But we should totally forget all the things they did in 2020 & 2021…
Saw some female representative yesterday on CNN claiming none of the Jan 6th protesters should be pardoned because they were going to kill the representatives.
crazy maga has a guillotine and its a threat to kill everyone when BLM had a guillotine it was harmless free speech
I doubt maga set up the guillotine anyway.
To be fair, a guillotine set up by a bunch of working class guys probably works much better than one built by some purple-haired baristas.
Fact check: there zero guillotines, real or fake, at the January 6 protest.
What they DID have was a makeshift gallows with a noose attached. Symbolic, of course, since nobody was forcibly dragged outside and marched up to it.
And if you’re not allowed to chant “hang that traitorous politician,” then free speech is worth less than nothing.
I doubt maga set up a makeshift gallows anyway.
HOW DARE YOU! ANY ROPE THAT EVEN ACCIDENTALLY FALLS AND LANDS WITH A LOOP IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS A NOOSE! AND THAT IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS LYNCHING MILLIONS OF INNOCENT BLACK PEOPLE!
The Holocaust counts as American history? I would have thought that would have landed squarely as German history.
You probably think slavery wasn't just invented in Jamestown in 1619 too don't you?
By Trump and Musk (who use Elon's secret time machine to impose slavery on all the POCs).

"Today, Republican trust in higher education has cratered to only 20 percent, and Democrats' has also trended downward, though at a slower pace."
Hmm, which side might be unhappy because of the decline of academic DEI?
Slowly trending downward following the slow death of DIE? Must be those damn hateful Republicans.
Seriously, what's to trust about academia? They aren't anything other than a bunch of priests and propagandists for various flavors of marxist stupidity. Nothing they're arguing needs to be taken at face value.
"Yesterday, the U.S. election results were peacefully certified without interruption. Donald Trump will be sworn in two weeks from now."
Without interruption from members, either, unlike every other time a Republican has won. But that's partly because Democrats changed the rules after 2020, thinking--of course--that they were hamstringing future Republican objections.
Add that to the list of things Democrats probably wish they'd never done.
"Under the Electoral Count Reform Act, an objection must be made in writing and be signed by at least one-fifth of senators and one-fifth of House members. Previously, objections had to be signed by just one senator and House member. There are only two grounds for objections under the law: when a state's electors were not lawfully certified under a certificate of ascertainment, or when the vote of at least one elector has not been regularly given.
There were 11 specious Democrat objections to Trumps votes in 2016, mostly citing "Russian interference".
Given their abortion stance I think most of them wish they weren't boarn
they wish we weren't born.
But that's partly because Democrats changed the rules after 2020, thinking--of course--that they were hamstringing future Republican objections.
Democrats do seem to do that a lot, don't they? They wanted to change the voting for confirmations; that came back to bite them in the ass. They changed these rules; it came back to bite them in the ass. They always think for the short term and never the long term, playing checkers without realizing they're on a chessboard.
The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact hasn't been implemented yet, but is made exclusively for dems. Wonder if that will ever come back to bite them.
Had it been implemented, states like Illinois would've been forced to hand over their electoral college votes to Trump this time around.
Imagine if it had been in place this year and California had to give all its votes to a Trump after 10M Californians voted for Harris?
That it was not done HERE should lead to PLENTY of arguments against it at a court level. The states will not be REQUIRED to do that if the Compact "passes" any more than they are now.
I think that it doesn't go into effect until there are enough states signed on to constitute a winning 'bloc' of 270+ EC votes.
The lack of trust in them doing this will kill this dead as dead can be.
Plus "I've got a pen and a phone..." and "Elections have consequences, and I won."
Oops...but funny reaction.
"Massachusetts Democrat Gov. Maura Healey on Monday ordered an inspection of all state-run emergency shelters after an illegal migrant was arrested with an AR-15 rifle and hundreds of thousands of dollars in drugs found in his taxpayer-funded hotel room.
Leonardo Andujar Sanchez, a 28-year-old Dominican national, was hit with illegal possession of a firearm, heroin trafficking and other charges in late December after local law enforcement in Revere, Massachusetts, found an AR-15 rifle, ammunition and around five kilograms of fentanyl and cocaine inside the Quality Inn hotel room he was living in. That hotel is among the 128 hotels and motels across the state that have been used to house asylum seekers and other homeless families since the immigration crisis began.
Healey, who has defended her state’s sanctuary policies in the past, appeared to blame Washington, D.C., for the shocking arrest.
“It’s outrageous that this individual took advantage of our shelter system to engage in criminal activity,” the Democrat governor said Monday, according to NBC10 Boston.

Hey, you know what color snow is, right?
It makes sense now. I don't call snow "That Evil White Shit" for nothing.
"China has denied that they are police stations, saying they are 'service stations' providing administrative services to nationals overseas." Sure.
Once again, the solution is for every sovereign state that has an issue with China's authoritarianism to stop hosting Chinese stations in their nations. America should have recalled all of our Ambassadors and closed all of our embassies around the world long ago. They serve no legitimate purpose ever since the telegraph replaced hand-written letters as a means of communications between leaders. Of course the CIA, the KGB and the Ministry of State Security would no longer have cover as diplomats for their spy missions in that case, but ... oh, well ...
Of course the CIA, the KGB and the Ministry of State Security would no longer have cover as diplomats for their spy missions in that case, but ... oh, well ...
Nail on the head. Stated missions are "outreach" and to provide services to US nationals. But make no mistake, spying is the primary purpose.
Hey, not just spying. What about all that foreign interference with internal affairs, including elections? That's good when we do it, right? Even if not done well.

Let's review what happened in DC the last time he was sworn in... oh look it was a riot with fires and injuries to policemen that makes the J6 "capitol riot" look like a picnic.

"This final act seems par for the course for a man who prefers playing politics to crafting sound policy."
Surprise, surprise! Who could ever have guessed that politicians would play politics? Sound public policy never got any politician elected after all. Power hungry people seek out public offices like moths seek out flames. The less dishonest ones seem able to delude themselves that destructive public policies will magically turn out to be beneficial for "the people" in the long term; the more dishonest ones couldn't care less as long as they keep their positions of power.
Most people are partisan. And partisans have only two uses for democracy (the voting kind):
1. Advance themselves and their agenda.
2. Fuck the other side.
"China has denied that they are police stations, saying they are 'service stations' providing administrative services to nationals overseas."
Just here providing the services you ordered, citizen.
Hmm, House Reports says the FBI, while investigating the pipe bomber from 1/6 (that seems to be quite forgotten by the press), found out the ACTUAL phone number for the bomber --- then just stopped the case cold with no explanation.
FBI Agent in charge says the cell data was "corrupted" and the cell carrier said it absolutely was not.
Plus the people "finding" the bombs were very much deep in the Deep State.
Odds that the number belonged to a FBI cell phone account?
I'm giving it roughly 1:1 odds.
certainly one of those +150 or -170 types ... whichever one gets you less money than you bet idk I only do suicide leagues
Hey, don't diss the Mounties! My fiance and I were rescued by them twenty years ago when we got lost hiking in the high Arctic. It was about 2:00 AM, midnight sun, lost in treeless wilderness. I found moose antlers that I used to scare off semi-feral dogs. Someone reported us lost and the Mounties came looking for us. Luckily they found us before we wandered into some polar bear's hibernation den.
My fiance and I were rescued by them twenty years ago when we got lost hiking in the high Arctic.
Just go south.
Luckily they found us before we wandered into some polar bear's hibernation den.
This sounds kinda monkeypox-y.
That's nothing. My fiancé was tied up and left on a railroad track by Snidely Whiplash when a Mounty named Dudley showed up and saved the day. She ended up shacking up with him which was a little disappointing.
BBC Newsnight claims that PM Starmer might end the security agreement with the US if Trump does not distance himself from Musk in regards to the rape gang scandal that the UK has worked so hard to cover up.
Never thought "Gangs raping underage girls" was more important to British security than the US, but learn something new every day.
Even in the large, "We side with Pakistan(i rape gang culture)." seems like most stupid move in the most stupid game of Risk possible.
It's either abjectly insane, or there are significant British or other interests connected somehow.
Starmer has to be so down deep in the scandal that he will burn it all down before it going public.
Would it really surprise you to learn that their elites are engaged in the same kind of shit ours were with Epstein?
Fuck yeah, man. Trump should not only call his bluff, he should take it even further and threaten to dissolve the FVEY partnership due to Starmer's problem with American free speech, and since Labour decided to interfere in the US election, all party members are now on the "no-fly" list. Maybe tell Starmer on the back end that he'll nail him harder than a Pakistani migrant if he's going to act uppity.
Nice
Canadians are pissed off, like so many others around the world, with the high cost of living, which they attribute to Trudeau. Earlier in his term, he prioritized climate change–related initiatives (like a costly carbon tax) and catering to Indigenous groups.
Would this group of voters be referred to as "MCGA"?
Yesterday, the U.S. election results were peacefully certified without interruption.
Yeah but why? If Trump is literal Hitler and will be the destruction of Democracy, then where are the patriots of the Left? Where are all the CHAZers? Where is the armed crew that tried to punch Rittenhouse's ticket? Where are all the Soros/ActBlue footsoldiers?
Where are all the nose-pierced-purple-haired-buggy-eyed-sheeple-screamers that were all over Social Media a mere month ago?
All those Dem politicians that confidently stated that Trump was a threat to Democracy and our way of life are what, ordered to stand down? Peacefully rolling over? Gigantic blubbering pussies?
Well, Ellen Degeneres and the missus moved to England.
Well now, best news of 2025!
You should have seen their food truck though.
You've probably never heard the story of Kriss Donald, a 15-year-old Scottish boy tortured and murdered by 5 Pakistanis because he was White.
One of the Pakistanis, a gang member Imran Shahid, got in an unrelated bar fight the weekend before and decided to take collective revenge on Whites.
With four of his Pakistani friends, they stole a car and roamed the streets of Glasgow with a bag of torture instruments looking for White boys to target.
They targeted 19-year-old Jamie Wallace, who managed to escape, and his friend Kriss, who had the day off school because he wasn't feeling well.
The Pakistanis proceeded to take Kriss, who they called a "white bastard", to a remote location and torture him for hours -- gouging his eyes out, castrating him, burning him with cigarettes, stabbing him repeatedly, dousing him in gasoline and setting him alight before he crawled to his death.
One of the killers may be back on the streets of Scotland this year.
Scottish police had actually set up a task force to deal with organised Asian crime that would have targeted Donald's murderers
To the dismay of police, it was shut down due to "political correctness"
"asian" crime.
Different terminology.
That's what they call Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis in the UK.
What we in North America call Asians, they call East Asians, Southeast Asians or just Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, etc.
Separated by a common language.
This shows what happens when you permit your government to disarm you.
In this case it was a 15 year old kid, so I don't know if that really applies here.
Why aren't "Asians" afraid of his father and friends?
His age has nothing to do with it.
The adults cannot seek proper retribution. And the police are actively helping them, making it worse.
Governments need to have the proper level of fear of the governed.
I don’t know. That sounds pretty insurrectiony.
This has been building up for a while now.
Most people have never heard of Richard Everitt either. All the way back in 1994 another innocent 15 year old school boy murdered in an unprovoked, racially aggravated attack.
Everitt's neighbourhood, Somers Town, had been the site of ethnic tensions. He was murdered by a gang of British Bangladeshis who were seeking revenge against another white boy who had accused them of theft. Everitt did not provoke the attack and had no history of anti-social behaviour.
A gang of Bangladeshis had set off from the Euston area towards Somers Town, seeking revenge on an Irish teenager named Liam Coyle over an accusation of stolen property. The prosecution said that the gang represented "a danger to any vulnerable white youth whom they happened to encounter".
The gang first surrounded a 16-year-old boy named Mark Andrewon Goldington Street and demanded to know whether he knew Liam; when he replied that he did not, they punched him, pursued him and attempted to stab him in the back, with the victim suffering a small knife wound. One of the gang members was heard to shout "Oi, you cunt, you're going to die". The gang then moved south and then west along Brill Place.
On the night of his murder Everitt was with two other white boys, who were identified in court as PP 9 (aged 14) and MF (aged 17). The Asian gang had initially been walking away from the boys, but upon spotting them they turned around. One of the gang, who the prosecution contended was Miah, demanded to know whether MF knew Liam Coyle; when MF replied that he did not, he was headbutted and accused of lying. MF and PP then managed to run away and escape. Everitt was caught and stabbed in the back with a seven-inch kitchen knife in his shoulder blades, piercing his heart. His friends notified his parents, who came to him as he was carried into an ambulance. Everitt died at the hospital.
Shortly after the stabbing, Badrul Miah bragged that the gang had "stabbed up a white boy". He returned to Euston where he met two girls who later claimed he told them "We've just had a fight with some white boys in Somers Town. We've just stabbed one of them". Miah was eating pot noodles at the time, which the prosecution later contended had been bought by Everitt and taken from him when he was stabbed. When Miah was arrested, he still had Everitt's blood on his jeans and trainers.
A memorial plaque and bench paying tribute to Everitt were placed near the location of his murder. The inscription on the bench included the text "Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room."
In June 2020, the council-owned land containing Everitt's memorial plaque was sold to private developers. The council put them into storage without prior notification of the family, where they were "neglected and later damaged".
One of his murderers, Abdul Hai, was recently given an OBE by Kier Starmer and promised a seat in Parliament.
These perpetrators need to swing from lampposts, their relations need to be deported back to their shitholes, and the politicians who defended these assholes also need to swing from lampposts.
This final act seems par for the course for a man who prefers playing politics to crafting sound policy.
The biggest problem is that left wingers everywhere fail to recognize a difference between playing politics and sound policy. When they discuss policy they evaluate it in expressly political terms. They don't even think to question the overall impact.
You've got Socialist who are pissed off their 'Guns' didn't make sh*t.
And Capitalists who are pissed off at criminal Socialists believing they could.
Same as it is in the USA.
Pundits like Matt Yglesias have been acting like it's ludicrous for people on today's right to act like this story was in any way suppressed by the mainstream media at the time.
If he was right it wouldn't be referred to as the Rotterham case since the same pattern of rapes and cover ups happened in dozens of cities across England. But Yglesias is doing what he and the other leftists always do: Protect the Shield Uber Alles.
"Today, Republican trust in higher education has cratered to only 20 percent, and Democrats' has also trended downward, though at a slower pace."
Everyone rejects what Dems do when they have control, even Dems.
I really hope Democrats can/do change their socialist party-platform initiatives.
This nation might save itself after all.
Dems are never going to change. Their current extremism is exactly what delivered their institutional power, and that power is why the country is run based on the preferences of the most extreme 10%.
I'm wondering who are the 20% of Republicans who trust higher education?
Is it the entire Romney family, who might make up a figure of that size.
Professors are just people who could not get hired as a USEFUL person.
Some people still think that the hard sciences and engineering are safe from the brain rot?
Yeesh, hasn't medicine showed that the hard sciences can easily be corrupted? My faith that anything can stand up to it in college is hella low.
As a voluntary honorary professor (geoscience) I want to think so. But the whiny progressive bullshit I have seen in my discipline over the past 20 years makes me doubt it. For example, a few years ago, hundreds of "scientists" refused to attend a national conference in New Orleans, because LA abortion law put them at risk of physical violence. Or so they said. Closer to home, when I served on a faculty search committee, we had to assess the college-required diversity statements from applicants.
But this comes at a difficult time for Canada, as Trump mulls slapping 25 percent tariffs on all Canadian goods, partially blaming our northern neighbors for an influx of migrants and fentanyl.
Second time in as many days that Reason has implied that Tariffs hurt the country that's tariffed.
LOL.. Indeed.
In the BAD Trump narrative ... reasoning gets to fly any which way to serve the narrative.
Why does New York hate brown people?
If the 'service stations' offered free car charging, 2/3rds of the Western World would be cheering even if they were police stations... because EVs are just really popular.
don't offer ideas!
Matt Yglesias have been acting like it's ludicrous for people on today's right to act like this story was in any way suppressed by the mainstream media at the time. I think this take (by @eyeslasho) is pretty good, though I'll admit I did not follow the story at the time:
I have followed this story, for about ten years now, and Yglesias is a fucking tard. It was suppressed and suppressed hard.
"Today, Republican trust in higher education has cratered to only 20 percent, and Democrats' has also trended downward, though at a slower pace."
It's hard when you own the institution.
The CFPB has ruled that unpaid medical bills cannot appear on credit reports any longer.
So, credit reports are going to become utterly useless now. If they can unilaterally decide "Well, THIS debt does not REALLY count", it will only expand.
Yeah but murdering credit and billing transcriptionists and debt collectors doesn't get you the same Marxist street credit/social cachè as assassinating insurance CEOs.
Unpaid bills under $500 - that is an important distinction. That amount covers mistaken billing that happens a lot. Especially to lower wage earners who have spotty insurance coverage.
He's trying to generate as much chaos as possible...

Biden admin working to effectively ban cigarettes in 11th hour proposal a 'gift' to cartels, expert says
"Biden's ban is a gift with a bow and balloons to organized crime cartels with it, whether it's cartels, Chinese organized crime, or Russian mafia. It's going to keep America smoking, and it's going to make the streets more violent," Rich Marianos, former assistant director of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the current chair of the Tobacco Law Enforcement Network, told Fox News Digital of the proposal.
The FDA confirmed to Fox Digital on Monday that as of Jan. 3, the Tobacco Product Standard for Nicotine Level of Certain Tobacco Products had completed a regulatory review, but that the proposed rule has not yet been finalized.
Biden (Joe or Jill) is now just trying to fuck with any group they can think of.
The analysis on Canada gives "superficial" a bad name. How about is has become a hotbed of Jew-hatred (ask Gad Saad), the per capita income of every province has fallen below every US state and the routine suspension of civil liberties? This article is akin to when Ilhan Omar described the holocaust as "some people did some things". If you don't care enough to do a proper analysis, don't write about it.
Sad to see teenage girls get the same level of respect as unborn children. Again, "underreported" is a lazy, sloppy way to report on that story even if it was 50 years ago. Especially when many of the protagonists are the current political leaders in the UK. There's no statute of limitations on crimes against humanity.
Crimes against the state are always punished. Crimes against humanity almost never.
