Police in the Maldives have arrested State Minister for Environment, Climate Change, and Energy Fathimath Shamnaz Ali Saleem. Police haven't said why she was arrested, but local media report she is accused of using black magic against President Mohamed Muizzu. Sorcery isn't illegal under the country's civil penal code. But it can be punished by up to six months in prison under Islamic law in the majority Muslim nation.
