Blinken's Mission, Impossible
Plus: Biden's terrible, no good, very bad poll numbers...

Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday. His goal was to reassure Abbas that the Biden administration is doing everything it can to limit civilian casualties as Israel continues to bomb the Gaza Strip. It is Washington's hope that after Israel destroys Hamas—the terrorist group in charge of Gaza, and the perpetrator of the October 7 massacre that left 1,400 Israelis dead—Abbas and the Palestinian Authority could take over as the official government.
Abbas, however, has called for an immediate ceasefire in the conflict—a course of action that Jordan, Egypt, and many others in the international community have been demanding. President Joe Biden has not embraced a full ceasefire, instead preferring a "humanitarian pause" so that much needed aid can reach the people of the Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said there will be no ceasefire until and unless Hamas releases all its hostages.
Indeed, Israel ramped up its attacks over the weekend. The Palestinians against lost internet and other communication services as Israeli forces initiated another round of intense bombings in northwest Gaza aimed at killing senior Hamas leaders. Some areas of Gaza had internet restored on Monday morning.
The Palestinian death toll has risen to nearly 10,000, which puts the U.S. in a difficult position. Biden has offered unqualified support to Netanyahu, and repeatedly reaffirmed Israel's right to defend itself against terrorism. Self-defense is well and good, but does the U.S. have a responsibility to provide Israel as many weapons and as much funding as it requires? Since World War II, the U.S. government has given more aid to Israel than to any other country in the world; does this policy really reflect America's national security needs? How does the rest of the world view it?
Blinken reportedly received an icy reception from the U.S.'s Muslim allies in Turkey, Iraq, and elsewhere. They know that an open-ended and ever-escalating war between Israel and Hamas is bad for everyone, and that the U.S. is paying for it.
Biden's poll numbers: They're bad. The latest polling from The New York Times and Siena College has Biden losing to former President Donald Trump, who is well ahead in key swing states: Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. Prospective voters are particularly worried about Biden's age, about national security, and about the economy; on that last question, Trump leads Biden by more than 20 points.
Tellingly, Biden is polling worse than Vice President Kamala Harris. And Trump does far worse against a generic candidate with a D next to their name.
A generic, unnamed Democrat fares 13 points better than Biden against Trump in swing states, per new NYT poll.
Kamala Harris does better than Biden too.

These are big liabilities. In the 2020 Democratic primaries, one of the most compelling arguments for Biden was electability: Polls showed that he was most likely to defeat Trump in the general election. And for most of his presidency thus far, it has been evident that whatever Biden's faults, Democrats lack a more popular alternative.
But now even the perpetually disappointing Harris seems like a better option to swing state voters. That's quite an indictment of the incumbent.
More Twitter Files: A new installment of the Twitter Files, written by Susan Schmidt, finds that a report about Russian malfeasance on Twitter was ill-conceived and inaccurate; Twitter knew this, but was afraid to publicly challenge the prevailing narrative, particularly after Sen. Mark Warner (D–VA) started making noise about it.
Internally, Twitter's head of trust and safety Yoel Roth slammed the report—assembled by New Knowledge, an internet research firm—as wholly flawed, and noted that some accounts labeled as Russian bots were actually authentic Americans. "Nothing to see here," Yoth wrote to his colleagues.
The Twitter Files have documented this phenomenon again and again: national security officials, Democratic politicians, so-called disinformation experts, and the mainstream media made inaccurate claims about Russian bots in order to pressure Twitter to suppress legitimate political speech.

Thank God JLD didn't have that cackle.
Life imitates art.
The ONLY way the bankrollers of genocide can ease tensions is to first stop funding the terrorists, Jews.
These Jews just targeted a REFUGEE CAMP killing dozens of refugees. That’s a crime against humanity. It’s no lie, Jews are killing innocents in prison camps of their making.
Let’s hear from the Palestinians to recount what Jews have done since they promised to bring the US into WW1 in exchange for the British promise of Palestine via the Balfour Declaration.
Hell, since that won’t happen in our environment of propaganda and censorship, listen to an uncommon Jew tell the truth.

Bring back Liz Wolfe.
Soave is more MAGA than any of you!
Surely you just. Robby was one of the bigger advocates for internet censorship as "private company" actions and saw nothing wrong with calling the Kavanaugh accusations more credible because there were more lies told. Overall he's as libertarian as ENB or Shackford.
Have you met fist before?
I try to avoid fights IRL, so not recently. Inside jokes are fine but you gotta include why they're jokes in a forum like this or they seem sincere.
Fist comments are 99% glib sarcasm and ment to be taken as jokes. He is one of the oldest commenters, and is he the one that met his wife in the reason comment section?
She wishes.
You're thinking of sloopyinca and Banjos. I don't lurk at Glibs that much, but I think they have three kids now.
Jesus, Fist has been the resident wag on this board for the better part of two decades now. It's more of a shock when he ISN'T making a joke.

I agree. Last video from The Hill that I saw, Suave was calling The Wagner Group “an anti-Putin mercenary group”(???)
The hair additives have evidently absorbed into his brain and are making it either too brittle or too loose.

A healthy tax base is literally genocide anyway.
Didn't you also know that moving to Florida is racist?
I thought it was trans-bashing?
It is literally all of the bad things. All of the "bad" genocides.
Question 1 for the president of palistine
"why does Jordan, Egypt, Iran, and Syria concider all of you to be animals and will not let you into their countries?"
Our boy Abbas is probably too busy keeping his and the PLO’s money embezzling schemes afloat to answer any questions right now.
Maybe just for laughs the asshole should be asked how he managed to have a personal net worth of $100,000,000 in a country who’s GDP is estimated at about a billion dollars.

Meeting with Mahmoud Abbas is a complete waste of time. It was just weeks ago how this dickhead was glorifying the Shoah, and telling the world how Jews brought it upon themselves. And cheerleading for Hamas after the Simchat Torah pogrom. This is the guy POTUS Biden thinks can run Gaza? Is his foreign policy team a bunch of fucking idiots? (don't answer that)

These ideas didn't come from the fringes of the internet.
It's taught in schools and universities throughout America. Anti-white racism encourages murder.

Abolishing whiteness has never been more urgent

You wish.
Is the WaPo story untrue?
It may be, but if it is not, I doubt that it would deter too many right-wingers here from voti for him. On the contrary, I think it would incentivise them to support him.
I wonder, too, how many potential Trump voters here would defend vote rigging of the 2024 election and the use of threats or actual force to secure his victory on the grounds that under whichever Democratic candidate is running against him, the US is headed for a catastrophe. and that hence extreme measures are justified.
I wonder, too, how many potential
TrumpBiden voters here would defend vote rigging of the 2024 election and the use of threats or actual force to secure his victory on the grounds that under whicheverDemocraticRepublican candidate is running against him, the US is headed for a catastrophe. and that hence extreme measures are justified.Sounds just as dumb.
It would require trump supporters 7 years of doing it to match diet shrikes defense of doing it.
Except I have never defended it and will not defend it.
But I note that you, like DLAM, can’t actually bring yourself to condemn it regardless of who’s doing it. The obvious reason is that you would actually support if if it meant Trump (or probably any other R) defeated Biden (or Harris, or probably any other D). I could be wrong, of course. You may indeed state now that you’re opposed to vote rigging even if it meant that Biden beats Trump in 2024, Go ahead.
Why won’t you condemn this thing I just made up and hasn’t actually happened!!!
I didn't make it up. And if the reporting is true, the plans are already afoot.
Do you want the articles from 2019 of dems claiming the same as the need for federal involvement in elections diet shrike? Lol.
Irrelevant.
I condemn vote rigging explicitly and without reference to party. You and the rest of your ilk cannot bring yourself to condemn it if it's the GOP trying or planning to do it.
But then you've shown your adherence to the fuhrerprinzip so your attitude is hardly surprising.
Here shrike. An example for you.
https://www.politico.com/story/2019/01/29/dan-coats-2020-election-foreign-interference-1126077
Lol.
“….the plans are already afoot.”
Really? To rig the election? The revenge part, I could see. As in, endless investigations into crooked dems who have it coming. But the rigging part?
Well, maybe they got that coming too, but I don’t think it’ll be necessary. Now, if closer scrutiny of ballot harvesting and counting amounts to “voter suppression” for you, then yeah, you might be screaming at the sky on election night.
Lol. Idiot.
You know they do, the RNC has invested heavily in promoting early voting and ballot harvesting where allowed. You know when November 6th dawns, if Trump won the night before, the hollering about how the Republicans suppressed the vote by copying the DNC playbook for the past two election cycles is going to be epic.
GOP opposed early voting in 2020 and also in places like PA got early ballots to be counted after Election Day ballots just so feeble-minded GOP voters like JesseAz would see a late swing to the Democrats and think that there was vote rigging.
They opposed them because they were enacted contrary to the law, without legislative approval asshole. That is why the GOP protested against them, and why the court ruled that those changes were illegal moron. Take your room temperature IQ back to the subreddit you crawled out of.
What do you want me to condemn? A hypothetical or what has already happened or is happening now? You aren't very bright shrike. Condemn the ballot removals of Trump in 26 states. That is actually happening in trials. Condemn illegal election changes in 2020. That already happened. Condemn the illegal votes found in various states. That actually happened.
When you do I'll condemn a future hypothetical lol.
If the story is right, the GOP are already planning election rigging in 2024. So it's not hypothetical.
But you're still whining about issues that were tried and appealed and decided in 2020. White Grievance must be like one of those cancers that never goes away.
I am quite prepared to condemn Biden voters who would do that, and I would also condemn it if Biden had the pollcy that it is reported Trump may want to implement. I don’t care whether at election time Trump looks likely to win, vote rigging is wrong regardless of which side does it, as is converting the civil service into party-beholden apparatchiks.
But can you say that? Obviously not else you would have had no problem in saying it already, rather than merely edit/reposting my post.
So why is it acceptable for Trump supporters to rig 2024, but not Biden supporters, in your opinion? Alternatively, correct the impression you have given that you’re OK with it if done by the right side.
Biden voters and the DNC are already doing that. They did so in 2020. See illegal election changes. See attempts to remove trumps name from ballots.
Those supposed illegal election changes, resulting from Covid, largely, IIRC, made it easier for citizens to exercise their constitutional right to vote. I don’t count that as rigging. Were voters deprived of their right to vote? Was the election itself subject to large numbers of votes not counted or false counts conducted, you know, actual ballot rigging? Nope.
The current attempt to remove Trump’s name from the ballot is lawful, stemming from 14AS3. I am not sure it’s wise, but it’s within the law.
And still you can't bring yourself to condemn rigging in general, i.e., including GOP rigging.
So you aren’t condeming it. Youre defending it. Never change buddy lol.
Also ignoring the large number of illegal votes based on just a comparison of votes and USPS change of address forms. It isnt a constitutional right to violate voting laws retard.
So when I condemn vote rigging, I'm not condemning it. And what you call vote rigging isn't.
How did that claim of large number of illegal votes play out in court?
Oh that's right. It didn't.
They were illegal per the vast majority of cases heard after the election. And it's highly questionable how legal it would be to remove someone from a ballot who has never been even charged with treason or sedition, let alone convicted. The impeachment doesn't count, because the Senate is the one that actually tries a case in impeachment proceedings, not the house, and the Senate didn't convict. Additionally, to remove someone without a conviction directly contradicts the first clause of the 14A, plus a number of amendments in the Bill of Rights, and third, read the last sentence of clause three, Congress can remove those restrictions (i.e. not holding office) by a note of 2/3, which happened twice after the Civil War, and not for specific cases but broad based removing the restrictions than and in the future. But keep smoking your partisan pipe.
I didn’t even vote for Trump, not sure what I’ll do in 24 (Trump will win my state easily, I’m more focused on the Senate race at this time) but fucking morons like SRG2 and their gaslighting are really starting to piss me off to the point of not only voting for Trump but campaigning for him. What they support is so unconstitutional, unAmerican, undemocratic that it is really pissing me off, and the thing that really pisses me off, is if they get their way, they're going to see what a real insurrection looks like, which I'm really starting to believe is their goal, and if they win, it will be full on trains, reeducation camps and North Korea/East Germany style democracy.
“…..starting to piss me off to the point of not only voting for trump..”
Do they not see this happening? Is this 4D chess? Their tactics seem designed to push people who don’t even like trump to vote for him. It’s bizarre.
It probably speaks to the low opinion that progressives have for everyone who is not them. Their excessive shrieking could never backfire, could it?
Lol. It’s gonna be crazy.
It backfired in 2016, and it can and it will backfire again. Progtards never learn from the past as they think they can repeat what has been done and get a different result.
Paranoid bullshit.
What gaslighting are you talking about? 14AS3 actually exists.
Additionally, to remove someone without a conviction directly contradicts the first clause of the 14A, plus a number of amendments in the Bill of Rights
Additionally, a later clause provides an exception to an earlier one. The BoR has no more authority or weight than any subsequent amendment. You may dislike what 14AS3 may say, but if - in your opinion - it goes against an earlier amendment, then it has the effect of repealing it or limiting it. This is Jurisprudence 101, not Applying Field Dressings 101,
I bet I have more education than you,and likely a higher IQ (statistically it's practically guaranteed). You also ignored the fact that section one says no one's rights or liberties cannot be denied without a conviction. Every natural born citizen, older than 36 has the right to run for president, ergo, per the very amendment you're quoting strictly forbids states from abridging Trump's right to run for president without a conviction. Furthermore, treason and sedition are actually defined in the Constitution (the only two crimes defined in the Constitution) and no, subsequent amendments do not void previous amendments unless specifically or addressing the same issue (example the 26A lowered the voting age to 18).
You can't say 14AS3 supersedes the 4-7th Amendment because you say so. It doesn't supersede those amendments, it is an addition to those amendments but does not remove the protections provided in those amendments. So, you may want to take juris prudence 101.
Because you're ignoring Clause 1 of the 14A and the fact that clause 1 was specifically written to make sure the all rights, especially in regards to voting, running for and hiding office, and legal rights were applicable to all Americans. It was never written (or ever interpreted) to remove any of the protections provided in the BoR, In fact, it has almost universally been ruled that it's purpose is specifically to make sure states can't take away your rights without a conviction.
Additionally, nothing I stated implied a like or dislike of section 3, it was a list of why section 3 is inapplicable. What I stated is I dislike fuckers like you who read only the part they like about the 14A, ignore all the case law on how the 14A has been applied (and no, section 3 hasn't been ruled specifically on, but section one has extensive case law, and it's clear how the courts have ruled section one applies in regards to the rights granted in the Constitution to both states and the federal government, e.g. without a conviction no American can be denied the rights and liberties without a conviction, period). You also ignored the last sentence of section three and the fact that Congress has thus removed the disparagements as laid out in the preceding sentences, per the prescribed step, not once but twice, and not just as one of cases but as a general removal of those disparagements.
That is what I call gaslighting: Ignoring the entire wording of the amendment, the case law on how the other two, especially the first clause, has been ruled to apply in regards to rights and liberties of US citizens, ignoring what amendments can and can't do, trying to imply section three somehow supersedes previous liberties without referring to those liberties or specifically addressing the same subject as previous amendments (especially when section 1 clearly not only addressed previous rights but expands protections of those rights and liberties to states as well as the federal government), ignoring that treason and sedition are specifically addressed and defined in the Constitution, that Congress addressed section 3 and removed those restrictions per the process prescribed in the amendment, and I can add one misrepresenting what I wrote and implying that since my user name is soldier medic that all I am capable of understanding is applying a field dressing (which is actually far below the level of practice of a medic, BTW, that's a basic soldiering skill, what is called a common task, taught to all soldiers, medic level training is far more advanced than that, and only the top 20% of recruits even qualify for medic training, additionally, I was selected in the top 1% of medics, selected to go on to LPN school, which I placed in the top 1% of, passed my NCLEX in the top 1%, graduated with my BS and MS in the top 1% of the nation in my field of study at the university, and belong to a professional organization in that only the top 0.5% are accepted into based on rigorous testing).
Given your fantasies about what the Dems might get up to after 2024 - which no right-wing poster probably has the balls to call out - do you think that therefore the GOP would be justified in rigging the 2024 elections to prevent the Dems winning the election?
Ignoring the Constitution to force someone off the ballot pretty much proves it isn't a fantasy, moron. And take you sophomoric what ifs back to the puerile wub reddit rock you crawled out of, those neck beards have given you the fallacy that you rather plebian intellect is somehow anything but jejune.
It is not even Trump has been convicted, but nobody tied to J6 has been convicted of insurrection.
And here is how you know Diet Shrike only follows leftist media. The 14AS3 doesn't include the president or vice president. Those offices are not even included in the clause.
And here is how you know Diet Shrike only follows leftist media. The 14AS3 doesn’t include the president or vice president. Those offices are not even included in the clause.
I don't follow leftist media. I do follow the VC on this very site and they have had a ton of articles on this. This shows how much of a cretin you are. The info is on this actual website and you were too stupid to locate it.
Search, and be enlightened - or, in your case, be even more confused than usual. Or perhaps you're just having a bad spirochaete day - in which case I'd vaguely sympathise.
You've fallen victim to one of the more obviously absurd argument that the president is not an officer of the US, despite the actual Constitution referring to the presidency as an office in more than one place, and by definition, the holder of an office is an officer.
VC is pretty biased and his accuracy rate regarding Trump is in the same subbasement as your pedestrian, what we will generously label as, intellect.
Oh and BTW, appeals to authority are considered a logical fallacy for a reason, it's because it's a crutch unimaginative, average to below average intellects fall back on when they can't counter an argument. Saying I read VC is an appeal to authority, as if his writings are anything but biased opinions.
14AS3 is by definition constitutional so the as yet untried issue is the process of determination. And it is unclear - but what is clear is that the best way to determine Trump's eligibility given 14AS3 is initially in court. A court can then rule that it's a matter for the individual states, or the Congress, or whomever. But you have to start somewhere.
Note that S3 doesn't require a conviction, which any jurist would regard as a significant omission.
Section one requires a conviction to deny anyone their rights. Since Trump meets all of the criteria to be president, natural born citizen, older than 36 years of age,and anyone has the right to run for president that meets those criteria, per section one of the 14th amendment you cannot be denied those rights except through a conviction. Additionally, you ignored the fact that Congress has already negated section three twice via the process stated in section three.
S3 stands by itself, Had a conviction been required, it would have specified it.
IF you go to the VC section of this site, there are a ton of articles on this. Pick and choose - and then if you still disagree, your disagreement will have been informed and honest, unlike the ignorant bullshit you're selling atm.
Bullshit, section 3 does not stand by itself in such a manner as to negate section one which was passed at the same time. It lacks anything remotely like logic to state section three negates section one when both were approved at the same time. Fuck, you are really bad at this. Also, there is no such thing as a stand alone amendment in the Constitution much less a subsection of an amendment, and one that directly contradicts another subsection in the same fucking amendment, written, debated and passed at the same time. That is by far the most asinine thing you've posted yet today. You really are to stupid be debating here, if you think anyone would buy that shit. You need to ask for your money back from whatever clown college you matriculated from, because they did a really bad job teaching you how to utilize critical thinking skills.
Lol. When did you stop beating your wife, not shrike?
"...I doubt that it would deter too many right-wingers here from voti for him..."
Gee, the guy reigns in the regulatory state, cuts taxes, and appoints those favoring freedom to many positions.
To TDS-addled assholes like SRG, those are "right wing".
Fuck off and die.
Lol. You really do wonder about some retarded shit, you limey fucking not shrike cracker.
You’re a perfect useful idiot, though. Keep a keen eye out for those white Christian nationalists rigging the election for trump. It’s a huge threat, I’m sure.
Key allies?
Allies like Rex Tillerson, John Bolton, Bill Barr, John Kelley and others?
Don't you mean Miles Taylor?
If Trump returns to office, key allies are discussing "revenge."
Shit-canning most of the senior leadership at the DOJ would be a good start.
"Shit-canning most of the senior leadership at the DOJ would be a good start."
Next step: replacing them with key allies like Rex Tillerson, John Bolton, Bill Barr, John Kelley and others.

Biden's poll numbers: They're bad.
Luckily for him that's irrelevant to an election.
Are we supposed to be believing polls now?
One of the few areas where partisans and independents are aligning. Of course, if the results were different the attitude toward polls would change a bit.
Of course. When the polls aren't in our (read:D) favor, we just ignore them. When they are in our (read:D) favor, we celebrate them, even if they [the polls] are dead wrong.
When the poll comes in contrary to the poster's bias? Yeah, I'll throw extra weight on that regardless of my beliefs. When the pollster bias and results align it's hard to get over the confirmation bias. Either way you need at least a quick glance at the polling slant and possibly questions.
Historically polls this far put show a D+ bias of 3-5%. So these numbers are really bad. Honestly I think it is intentional to try to force Joe out.
Too bad 'generic Democrat' doesn't exist anywhere except the respondents imagination.
This is because any Democrat who is actually likely to run against Biden is going to be unpalatable to a lot more people than just Republicans.
Seriously, what 'young' Democrat could possibly do well nationwide? I can't think of one off the top of my head. Biden was only 'better' in the sense that he wasn't Trump and if we're honest a head of lettuce could have probably beaten Trump last time.
After seeing what Democrats have done in the past 4 years, well, lets just see they've made the case for Trump better than Trump ever could have. Just like last time, too, if we're super honest.
I'd much rather have someone like Rand Paul win, but I think that hope is dead and buried at this point.
Yeah, the only other Democrat who’s engendered any real excitement in the base in the last 20 years other than Obama has been Bernie Sanders, and that old commie fuck doesn’t have too many years left himself. The only other two that have really been in that same orbit are Howard Dean and Buttigieg, but they didn’t engender nearly the level of swooning that Sanders has.
And yeah, Rand Paul probably shot his best wad in 2016. If he ran in 2028, the Hollywood commie crowd alone would be looking to take him out.
With that said, even with his fuckups as Transportation Secretary, I guarantee Buttigieg will be running in 2028, and unless Polis throws his hat in the ring, will likely get the nomination because 1) the base will be desperate to nominate a queer for repREEEEsentayshun points, 2) Buttigieg's connections with the intel community will give him an inside track, and 3) he comes off as FAR more likeable and pragmatic on the stump than the oily Newsom or the flop-sweating Pritzker.
I'm sure a lot of voters still think of Clinton, (during his Presidency) when they hear generic Democrat. But the truth is most of those Democrats are dead or have shown their true colors.
Yeah, and notably Trump is a Clinton-era Democrat which makes this all the more amusing. He only became a Republican when he decided to try and become President, it seems.
...national security officials, Democratic politicians, so-called disinformation experts, and the mainstream media made inaccurate claims about Russian bots in order to pressure Twitter to suppress legitimate political speech.

If trump is in office I hope he goes scorched earth on the 3 letter agencies. They are illigetimat, evil cancers. Can you name a single person (other than the whistle blowers) in the doj, cia, nsa, hhs, doe, epa, dol etc that deserves to not be in jail or executed?
I'm sure there are a couple security guards that are good peeps doing nothing more shady than waving people through a checkpoint. The rest, not so much.
If Trump wins, he catches a bullet, near 100% odds.
Some people might vote for him just for that reason.
And the left/media will justify it. Same rhetoric they employ with Hamas.
I think we’re soon going to see the next stage of all the bullshit criminal cases against DJT, where states start testing the waters of him being “ineligible” to be on their ballots.
I’m hoping at this point enough people will see our next presidential election as the farce that it’s doomed to be. With a sufficiently pissed off electorate, it would be madness for the-powers-that-be to think they could get away with their fucking assassinations like they did in the 60’s.
26 states are already doing that.
I think the USSC has already said they are going to fast track any decision. The legal case is pretty weak. First, Trump was never convicted, second, he hasn't even been charged with treason or sedition, third, Congress has twice, voted by > 2/3rds majority, per the last sentence of the third clause of the 14A to remove the restrictions, during the 19th century. Most legal analysts, even a number of left leaning ones in left leaning media, are saying this is a long shot, at best.
Most importantly the cited clause does not include the president.
I can't believe all these courts are having such a difficult time of convicting Donald Trump of First Degree Aggravated Being Donald Trump. It really seems like a slam dunk case.
What have they been unable to get away with yet?
Making Hillary president.
If that's the plan, he catches the bullet before the election.
Maybe he should make that his campaign slogan. He can promise to Drain the Swamp. Seems like a good strategy.

1/ Democrat and liberal support for the idea that Israel is an illegitimate "settler colonial" apartheid state is roughly where Democrat and liberal support for the idea that marriage should be redefined to include same-sex partners was in the mid-2000s.
2/ The base of the party and the movement, its intellectual leadership, and youth brigades are there. On campuses, it's already unquestionable dogma. Office holders and politicians, holding fingers to the wind, aren't there ... yet. But they're heading or will be dragged there.
3/ More than 50 Democratic National Committee staffers--17% of the DNC's employees--have already signed a statement opposing President Biden's policy on Israel. That by itself gives you a clear idea of where things are going.
4/ Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on Israel and Hamas sound like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama on "same-sex marriage" before they ... what was that word they used? ... oh yes, "evolved."
5/ In 2004, Obama said "What I believe is that marriage is between a man and a woman." That same year, Clinton speaking on the floor of the United States Senate declared that marriage is a "sacred bond between a man and a woman." Obama officially flipped in 2012, Clinton in 2013.
6/ The lesson is that office holders and the political class eventually get themselves into line with the base of the party and movement and its activists and intellectual leaders. They "evolve." The activists and intellectual elite are the lightning, the politicians the thunder.
7/ When you see lightning, it's not a question of whether the thunder will follow, it's only a question of when. It took a decade or so on marriage. It won't take that long on Israel and Hamas. The activists themselves know that. They know that, in a sense, they've already won.

These "influencers" who have staked out institutions including academia and MSM have nothing in common with the average voter who is typically focused on basics such as employment and inflation. I expect/ fondly hope that the Democratic Party will continue to be lead to extremes and will fracture, which would be a fine thing.
Lol
That's not going to happen.
Loyal Dems will vote their virtue so long as they can put food on their table, pay their mortgage, and gas up their mini vans/ crossover SUVs. As long as they don't feel the pinch, it is fine for others to.
What we now call the "extremists" of the Party are not prepared to address those kinds of concerns. Far better to focus on things like equity and climate hysteria and blame some "white Christian nationalists" for their problems.
A conservative is just a liberal who's got mugged
This is going to end up being one of the major subplots of the current overall political realignment going on. We now basically have two formerly powerful political factions–fiscal conservative neocons and social marxist Jews–that are effectively without a party right now. The former can’t bring themselves to go all in on the Democrats because of Israel and economics, and the latter can’t go to the GOP due to their decades-long dedication to promoting queer and racial marxism.
There’s a legit chance that some third-party type of org might spring up under the “No Labels” banner with these two factions that ends up being some weird mishmash of moderate tax policy, aggressive overseas intervention to protect Israel, and socially leftist policies like convincing kids to cut their breasts and genitals off. They’lll try to come off like they’re some sort of silent majority that will cut your taxes and let you troon your kid out, but ultimately it really will be centered around maintaining the status quo in the Middle East.
I don’t have the link, unfortunately, but some Trantifa simp was trying to get a mob of muslimas to go after a white guy wearing a “Children cannot consent to HRT” sign, and instead the muslimas lit him up and forced to slink off because they completely agreed with the sign-holder. These “Queers for Palestine” morons are going to end up finding out that sucking up to MUH BROWN UHPRESSED isn’t going to work out to well for them if they actually get their way on who the Democrats end up supporting in this conflict. Insh’allah.

"It would resemble a banana republic if people came into office and started going after their opponents willy-nilly. It’s hardly something we should aspire to."
Well that’s a good point!
I mean, it sure would look bad if people thought Trump was trying to get revenge on his political opponents. Nobody tried to get revenge on Trump for any perceived misdeeds, after all.
I just wonder if Trump can pull it off without shooting his own foot? Instead of just firing them and stating that they no longer serve at the pleasure of the president, he'll most likely send out 30 tweets stating how this was all about him and his legal issues. He needs to start looking at W Bush's admins handling and adjust from there (IIFC, Bush got what he wanted after much a do over the reasons)

Yes, the Hamas provided death toll is probably exaggerated.
So what do you think the real figure is?
Who the fuck really knows? This is like the UKR-RUS conflict where absolutely nothing the media is putting out can really be trusted.
I'd guess maybe 2,000-2500.
But, like you said, that's just a guess based on not much of anything.
Honestly the numbers don't matter.
The only reason they get reported is to try to force a proportional response narrative to hamper Israel's response.
^this^
I don't really care. Those people support Hamas, when it is Hamas who is diverting all their aid money, and when it is all the other Muslim countries refusing to take them in as refugees.
As individuals, sure, I'm sorry they're dead or injured. But they brought it on themselves. God helps those who help themselves, so I've been told, and Allah is either the same god under an alias, or working from the same playbook. So as a group, not much sympathy.
Interesting.
I feel about as much sympathy as I did for German and Japanese civilians killed by the western force from 1939-1945.
If you want me to make a wild-ass guess, probably a couple thousand, with some significant percentage of those actively helping Hamas at the time they were killed. But that's based on literally nothing but intuition and I'm not convinced my own intuitions are accurate, so I'm open to being corrected.
Just extrapolating it from the "500-1000 dead in Israeli hospital bombing" number from Hamas that actually turned out to be a tiny fraction of that (and from their own Jihadi buddies), I would guess 1-2 thousand
Hey, here's a guess similar to mine except actually based on something. Good job.
There is also a video out there of a guy in palestine who has died 6 times now.
Just like AOC.
Didn't every American die 3-4 times during Trump's presidency? It's totally normal for this to happen given our current media regime.
What do you expect with the number of World Wars he started?
In fact, going by that matrix, per Reason's breathless articles over any of his foreign policy/national defense decisions, three or four times is probably a vast underestimate.
Bring out your dead!

DEAD PERSON: I'm not dead!
CART MASTER: 'Ere. He says he's not dead!
CUSTOMER: Yes, he is.
DEAD PERSON: I'm not!
CART MASTER: He isn't?
CUSTOMER: Well, he will be soon. He's very ill.
DEAD PERSON: I'm getting better!
CUSTOMER: No, you're not. You'll be stone dead in a moment.
Based on the "hospital bombing" where they claimed 500+, unaffiliated agencies estimated 50, the US <200, let's take the average of the non-Hamas estimation. 500/125, so 4:1 overestimation, so 2,500 would jive. If the non-state agencies that estimated 50, then 10:1 which would place the lower estimate at 1,000. Upper estimate would be 4000 if we use 200 (2.5:1). I'd say 2500 seems a fair estimate based on these numbers. But it could be like the 15 hospitals a day for a population of 2,000,000 that run out of fuel every day.

Seems totes legit.
She is definitely a legit model and Hunter's paintings definitely should have been selling for a few hundred grand a pop. All totes legit
Hell, nobles have always given other nobles children high paying, no work jobs.
Every thot needs validation, every politician needs a bagman so this is just Hunter 2.0.
So? Kamala raised funds to bail out murderers and rapists right here in the good ole USA
Honestly, it's more likely that it's fluffed by a bunch of bots. The Variety article that came out a few days ago on Marvel talked about how the company had set up a bot operation on Twatter to flood anyone saying anything negative about the MCU. Gina Carano came out shortly afterward and claimed that Kathleen Kennedy's minions had basically done the same thing with her.
Maybe so, but that only changes the question to why anyone would think inflating her stats is at all useful.
Same reason anyone thought Hunter was useful on an energy BoD. A bot farm of simps can funnel a good amount of cash to a politician without pesky legal contracts and single-source payments to trace.
I suspect bot farms have been used to a much greater degree than we imagine.
I imagine there are tools affordable for people of not even excessive means.
Mina Kimes is an NFL "analyst" who's now on ESPN. My theory for a couple years now is that her popularity, and now career, was a product of bot farming. She's a Korean Yale grad who worked in finance then suddenly switched to social media NFL commentary in her mid 30s and built a massive fan base. She's smart but not in any way remarkable. Average looking, not much personality, occasional social justice posting. I first encountered her when she was tweeting about how Colin Kaepernick was better than half the NFL starting QBs- this was like 2 or 3 years ago, full 4 or 5 seasons since he last played but right in the middle of one of his publicity pushes. Anyway, even when it's just straight uncontroversial football takes, the replies to her posts have a distinct bot/astroturf feel beyond just typical NPCs. And every few months she becomes the main character in some "girls are smart and know more about football than men" flame war, with thousands of social media posts that are incredibly formulaic and consistent from supposedly different accounts. Now she's one of ESPN's highest paid "talents".
Anyway, I wonder hoe many careers are the product of purchasing bots early on to get established...
"I wonder hoe many careers are the product of purchasing bots early on to get established…"
There's an app for that.
Seems you have experience in this matter.
I have written apps for Android. It's fairly straight forward as long as you can handle rudimentary programming.
"with thousands of social media posts that are incredibly formulaic and consistent from supposedly different accounts."
Sounds familiar.
Shit, ESPN is owned by Disney, so it wouldn't shock me at all if the same playbook was being run.
Anyone who thinks Kaeperneck was in the top 50% of NFL starting QB his last season (where he rode the the pine and had been since midway through the previous season, and his numbers where below average before he was sat) let alone 3 years after not playing, knows nothing about football. Teams figured out how to defend against him, and he never adjusted. He was no Peyton or Tom, who were flexible enough to adjust as teams adjusted. He was hot his first couple seasons because his style of play was fairly newer (albeit not that new, not all that dissimilar to Vick or Moon in the past, hell, for that matter Elway when he was younger, but then again, Elway was another that was able to adjust as he aged and defenses got better at defending scrambling QB, Wilson appears to be struggling with adjusting as well).
Most of Elway's real success came after Jim Fassel arrived in 1993 and put in the West Coast offense, after years of running that ancient two-back set that Reeves brought from Dallas. The team was average until Terrell Davis was drafted those first couple of years, but Elway's stats went through the roof.
It's kind of scary to think about how his career would have gone if Bill Walsh had traded Joe Montana for Elway in 1983. Steve Young might never have come to SF and had a Hall of Fame career himself, because they'd already have a running QB on staff.
Much like Wilson's numbers dived after Lunch and Tate left Seattle.
Only in reverse. There's a few others I would add to that list (Kearn, Wilson, etc).
I remember an interview with Elway after his second ring, and he was talking about being in the QB challenge during Probowl week, and he and Marino were tied going into the last competition, and when they announced it was going to be a short drop deep pass, Elway said he said to himself, 'Well, Dan's got this (win)"
Wilsons fall has been downright stunning.
The latest polling from The New York Times and Siena College has Biden losing to former President Donald Trump, who is well ahead in key swing states: Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Arizona, and Pennsylvania.
Time for moar fortification.
What really should be scary is Trump never led Biden in 2020, and barely lost the EC. He led in very few polls against Hillary, and even then, only late polling.
Kentucky Governor's race has also heated up, Cameron overcame a -16 point deficit last month to either tied or slightly ahead in the polls in the last week. If Cameron pulls it off, especially over performs, today in Kentucky, against a popular polling governor, in a race most have already called, Democrats should panic. Yeah, Kentucky is traditionally Republican (especially at national level) but it shows that Republican voters that didn't turn out in 2022 have returned to the fold, and that Democrats who try to distinguish/distance themselves from Biden have a hard road ahead.
Also heard a good one on the TV while I was passing meds this morning, an anonymous Democratic operative stated this morning 'whoever came up the Bidenomics (in the Biden Campaign) needs to be fired".
“Tucker Carlson is interviewing Julian Assange.”
I stopped using the words left and right a while ago, because they’re effectively meaningless now.
On one side you have classical liberals who believe in human rights, freedom of speech and free markets, on the other side you have authoritarian corporatists who preach social Marxism and fascist economics at the behest of oligarchs.
“Right-wingers” like Tucker Carlson are now on the same side as “lefties” like Greenwald and Assange, while “leftwingers” like AOC are on the same side as “rightwing” David French and Bill Kristol.
It's uniparty/useful idiots VS people
“Political tags — such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth — are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire. The former are idealists acting from highest motives for the greatest good of the greatest number. The latter are surly curmudgeons, suspicious and lacking in altruism. But they are more comfortable neighbors than the other sort.”

Whatabout trump cultists and forever trumpers. Both labels you’ve used constantly. Lol.
Hypocrisy, thy name is sarc.
Nevertheless, it's a good quote.
I knew you had a talent for deliberately misconstruing what people say to the point where you could be effective in law enforcement, but to interpret Heinlein as saying labels are hypocritical?
Wow.
That's some Herculean dishonesty there.
What did I misconstrue? I pointed out you being a hypocrite.
I’ll add misconstrue to the list of words Sarc doesn’t know the definition of.
I have compiled a book of those; it says Merriam Webster on the cover.
You owe me a new keyboard.
God, such a colonizer. Don't you know dictionaries are used to further systemic racism? You're showing your white privilege now.
How is what I said hypocritical unless the quote says using labels is hypocritical? It’s doesn't, so it isn't. Which means you’re lying as always.
I’ve never said trump cultists or forever trumpers. So there’s a lie. I have said Trumptards and Trumpistas, and I have compared his followers to Obama’s cult of personality. But I never used the terms you claim.

For four years, leaders of the American Federation of Teachers union toured the country doing political rallies for Democrats.
However, a non-profit public interest law firm claims that from 2018 through 2020, AFT spent more than $3 million in political expenditures and didn't declare it on the proper disclosure reports.
Landmark Legal Foundation states that AFT is obligated to report the expenditures and pay taxes on them.
But Landmark Legal Foundation stated there are multiple political expenditures itemized on AFT's disclosure reports but not reported on the PAC's disclosure statements.
Since they aren't part of the PAC's spending, Landmark Legal Foundation stated the political spending would be made from the union's general treasury funds, which come from the collection of union dues.
Landmark Legal Foundation stated that since the political spending wasn't on PAC reports, the union should report that political spending on a report known as a Form 990, which goes to the IRS.
AFT reported having $203 million in total revenue in 2020. On the Form 990 that is filed with the federal government, the question is asked, "Did the organization engage in direct or indirect political campaign activities on behalf of or in opposition to candidates for public office? If 'Yes,' complete Schedule C, Part I." For the 2020 calendar year, AFT checked "No."
And then nothing happened.

IQ-testing most strongly benefits lower class whites, who are the designated enemy of the regime.
It most harms the elites minority vote banks/foot soldiers.
For the elites themselves its generally negative as it allows the lower classes to compete on even ground with them.
The elites have no reason to allow IQ-testing as it helps their enemies and hurts their friends.
While the elites themselves generally score well, testing makes a fair, transparent standard for others, particularly lower class whites and Asians, to compete against them.

And Trump does far worse against a generic candidate with a D next to their name.
Which again goes to show that most voters (basically everyone who isn't a MAGA) don't vote for someone, rather they vote against the person they feel is worse.

Have you ever considered telling someone you disagree with why what they say is wrong, as opposed to telling them that they as a person are wrong? You don’t change minds by attacking people. That just puts them on the defensive.
Buddy! So much hate! As the wise man said, "You don’t change minds by attacking people. That just puts them on the defensive."
There are exceptions to that. Like when someone like you continually shows off their lack of comprehension leaving someone like me to conclude that the reason you say stupid things is because you are stupid.
Tell me how “not everyone is filled with hate” is wrong or stupid.
Because I didn't say or imply anything about hate in my original comment. You were lying and attempting to derail the conversation, like your idol JesseAz.
Why is it that anyone who disagrees with you on this suddenly has JesseAz as an idol. I'm sure Jesse would be surprised to know he's an idol.
You're also obsessed with Jesse.
Have you ever attempted to be honest? Just wondering. Because I never said people who disagree with me are like JesseAz. I said people who lie to and about me are like JesseAz. People like you.
And just how did I lie to you and lie about you?
You haven't said anything about me yet. But as soon as you do I can guarantee that it will be dishonest.
Sarc, can you give one example of my lying about you? Just one. You haven’t been able to do so yet.
Weird how posting your comments word for word makes you think it is a lie. It is just an example of your self delusion.

Which is it?
Which words sarc? None of what I said is a lie. Be specific. You were both siding the argument then refused to even answer a simple question on if tax revenue went down post tax cuts under Trump. There are no lies there. Which is why you link to a thread and not a specific statement. You being exposed for being ignorant isn’t a lie retard.
Truthful statements. Like POSTING YOU WORD FOR WORD? LOL.
Anyone can go into that thread. Point out the lie I told sarc. Be specific. You can't because it isnt true. Pathetic at this point.
Which words sarc?
All of them.
Which words sarc? You made a claim. Defend it.
You keep deflecting with utter nonsense because you know youre full of shit.
Everything isn't specific enough?
No. It isnt. Because nothing in there was an actual lie. It is you attempting to deflect from defending a bald assertion you made. You can't even give a singular example.
*sigh*
I’ll start with your first reply.
To think it was only a week ago you realized correctly that just fixing spending to 2019 levels was enough to cut the deficit. Bow youre back to hating tax cuts for political reasons.
First of all I’ve been saying that a spending freeze would cut the deficit for years. So that’s a lie. Second, the statement you’re responding to doesn’t assert anything either way about tax cuts. So that too is a lie.
I could go on and do that with every statement in those comments since they are all lies. Not merely being wrong. That can be excused. I'm talking about olympic mendacity.
So you agree you said it a week ago. So no lie there. I didn't put a temporal adjective around it. I said you made a statement a week ago which you agree you now made. So not a lie.
I literally say in the thread you were trying to both sides the issue. Which you were and that is why you STILL refuse to answer the simple question as it ruins your both sides narrative. Not a lie.
Please go on and on because you haven't proven fucking shit retard.
Post your first comment from the thread sarc. Show people why I made the post and the question you continue to refuse to answer. Show everyone sarc. Lol.
You know what. I'll do it for you.
I predict that Democrats will increase spending, calling it an investment in the economy, while Republican will cut taxes citing the Laffer Curve.
.
As a result the debt will continue to balloon thanks to more spending and less revenue, while the Parties and their followers will continue to hold themselves blameless while putting all the blame on the other Party and mocking anyone who blames both sides.
.
Or, to put it another way, tomorrow will be the same as yesterday.
Second, the statement you’re responding to doesn’t assert anything either way about tax cuts.
You literally make an assertion of LESS REVENUE due to the tax cuts you fucking retard. Which is why you then kept avoiding this simple question.
Did federal tax revenues go up or down the year following tax cuts under Trump. Can you answer that question? Or does it ruin your protective narrative of both sides to ignore the spending issue?
You got caught in your own citation lying about what you fucking said. Lol.
You literally make an assertion of LESS REVENUE due to the tax cuts you fucking retard.
Yeah, I’m talking about a guess about future tax cuts, which has nothing to do with today (there's your lie). I’m also not saying that all tax cuts cut into revenue. The Laffer curve is backed up by real evidence. However the Republican mantra is that all tax cuts increase revenue. If that was true than 0% taxes would maximize revenue, which is absurd.
Which is why you then kept avoiding this simple question.
I’m not answering the question because it is based upon the false premise (otherwise known as a lie) that tax cuts were the only variable. I would have to do some research to see if the increase in revenue (assuming you’re not lying about that since you lie about everything else) was despite, or because of, the tax cuts you’re talking about.
God damn. You really can’t help just fucking lying all the time. I quoted your exact quote which you claimed you never made. You lied. Noe you’re trying to weasel your way out of it. Lol.
However the Republican mantra is that all tax cuts increase revenue. If that was true than 0% taxes would maximize revenue, which is absurd.
This is not what the Laffer Curve states you retarded strawman creating fuck.
It is a CURVE. The intention is to find a local maximum. The far left of the CURVE is zero dumbass.
Add curves to things sarc doesn’t understand.
Bookmarked.
Idolization is dumb. Individualism is preferred. But sarc wants to blame me for everyone else seeing what an ignorant hypocrite he is. Meh.
He probably truly believes you would all be on clapping on the bus from his amazing insights if not for me.
Sorry, but “Not everyone is filled with hate” is not a lie.
What is he not comprehending other than your constant hypocritical arguments? I think he comprehends that well though.
An appropriate use of that quote would be in response to me acting like you and attacking the person instead of what the person says.
Instead he posts it willy-nilly thinking he's being clever, when all he's doing is showing how stupid he is.
You keep blaming me for things without evidence of your assertions. If you were like me you would post word for word posts of mine to buttress your accusations. You fail to do even that.
What you are doing is classical projection.
I even asked you a specific question in that thread you posted above, you refused to answer. I then gave you specific information to counter your bald assertion, you ignored it.
Youre a pathetic human sarc.
If I were like you I'd lie about what people say, lie and accuse them of saying and doing things they never said nor did, and then lie by calling them lairs when they dispute the lies.
Show an example. You can’t
You repeating a bald assertion over and over doesn’t make it true dumbass.
And your claims of me posting your past comments as being a lie is extra hilarious.
I showed an example above, and I could do the same with any reply of yours to any of my posts.
You showed yourself lying and ignorant to basic economics.
Just you and your buddies, I know.
Is that an actual argument or is it a personal attack?
Neither. It was an observation.
Cite?
And just who, do tell, are his "buddies"?
lol
A real answer, not a drunk "lol".
"Vote blue no matter who" comes to mind.
"most voters (who aren't MAGA)"
Yet MAGA voters won in 2016, and would have won in 2020 if not for the media.
Arithmetic not your strong suit, I see.
Trump won in 2016 because people voted against Hillary, and Biden won in 2020 because people voted against Trump.
If Biden runs again I'm not sure what will happen. I'm sure people who voted against Trump in the last election are kicking themselves for it, and will not vote for either of the men in the next election.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9956113/One-five-Americans-want-vote-Biden-Poll-shows-20-regret-voting-him.html
Whoops. Lol.
That's what I just said, imbecile.
Except that’s not what you said as many of them said they would vote for Trump retard. See the shift in independent votes TOWARDS trump dumbass.
That doesn't refute what I said. I said "people," not everybody. Take a remedial English class.
God damn are you fucking retarded. This is your assertion.
and will not vote for either of the men in the next election.
Here you are showing your retarded lack of self awareness.
I didn't say some, nor did I say all. I just said people. Your claim that I mean everyone is a lie. Like everything else you say about me or about what I said. You're psychologically incapable of honesty.
I posted your fucking words. Are you just illiterate?
Also, one in five is only 20%. That's minor.
20% is minor? Fucking hilarious. Roughly 8% of the national vote when elections are decided on the margins is minor.
How do you keep getting more and more retarded?
Now you're conflating people surveyed with total electorate.
Can you be more dishonest? Just curious.
I'll add statistics to things sarcasmic doesn't understand.
Speak for yourself. You're the one conflating numbers.
Add conflating to words sarc doesn't understand.
It's a fifth, which coincidentally, may be what you downed before posting.
He doesn't deal in fifths. Think handles.
How many generic party candidates are there?
It's not shocking how a party with a media position of "we're for all good things" comes out ahead in generic polling but once you put actual policy positions to "good things" that melts away. Very few people with kids see child mutilation for gender ideology as a "good thing" but there Democrats are, you can repeat this on most all their actual positions.
Ready for WWIII?
https://www.spiked-online.com/2023/11/05/is-the-west-ready-for-world-war-3/
A 21st-century world war would pit the West and its Asian allies – notably Japan, South Korea and India – against a modern-day version of the 1940s ‘pact of steel’. This time, however, the alliance is between China, Russia and Iran. In facing this threat, military preparedness is essential. But so too is boosting the West’s economic power, and rapidly.
Of course, any attempt to re-industrialise will face opposition from much of the American establishment. This includes financial firms like BlackRock, whose largely unprofitable ‘Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance’ (ESG) policies seek to promote investments in firms that purport to meet their Net Zero obsessions. In practice, these policies perpetuate China’s industrial hegemony by hamstringing Western industry. Meanwhile, BlackRock happily expands its business in China, the world’s dominant polluter and autocracy par excellence.
As the capitalist elite undermines our economic security, the powerful climate lobby’s obsession with renewable energy only aids China’s dominance of green industries. China maintains effective control of both the requisite rare-earth metals, as well as the technology for processing them. As a result, China has a virtual monopoly over the solar-energy industry, and now produces twice as many electric vehicles (EVs) as the US and the EU combined. China’s leading EV maker, BYD, is now the world’s largest. Eco-obsessives like California governor Gavin Newsom cheer on China’s domination of the EV market as a step towards Net Zero, even as China goes on a coal-plant building spree and emits more greenhouse gases than all developed countries put together.
Ultimately, the West can no longer ignore the threat posed by the emerging hegemony of the authoritarians. It now seems more likely that China will achieve its stated aim to dominate the supply chains and become the leading global superpower by 2050, than Western governments’ will realise their vague dreams of ‘building back better’ or imposing the anti-growth ‘great reset’.
As we enter a very dangerous period, the West must prioritise bolstering its military, industrial and energy resources. Right now, it’s hard to see our elites rising to the challenge. But as previous global conflicts have demonstrated, this was once possible. The question now is do we have the time, and the will, to make it happen again?
Yeah, this was the Faustian bargain that America's elites made in whoring themselves out to China. Now we can't really get anything done without importing manufactured goods from there, including the very goods that make our tech sector run and that our military is autistically dependent on, but on the other hand our defense leaders have identified China as our main global adversary.
So now we're in a place where some strongman is going to have to tell Larry Fink, Bob Iger, Klaus Schwab, et al., "you're with us, or you're with them," and if they choose the latter, suppress them with extreme prejudice.

Also in the running, a 2x4 wearing a blue tie.

Yeah, one interpretation is that the electorate is +8 points Democrat. Another equally valid interpretation is that Axios/NYT selected a polling population that's +8 points Democrat regardless of the fact that the general population would go *back* to voting for Trump rather than vote for current Democrats.
At least we finally got the first three pages of that manifesto.

The first three pages of transgender school shooter Audrey Hale's manifesto has been leaked to the press, following a March 27 attack that left three 9-year-olds and three adults dead - just days before a "Trans Day Of Vengeance" was scheduled for April 1st.
Watch live as Stephen Crowder reveals the manifesto, going through it line-by-line:

"Transgender mass murderer Audrey Hale’s manifest is full of anti-white hate"
Great news!
How so?
Think of the disappointment had it not been full of anti-white hate. With an anti-white manifesto, we can finally claim the prize of being the true and legitimate victims of the Nashville shooting.
“We”? Who is this “we” you speak of?
It's Misconstrueman. He's admitted previously that he's here just to spew nonsense.

" Who is this “we” you speak of?"
We, the true and proper victims of the Nashville shooting, dummy.
Please, do tell, how are you a victim of the shooting? Were you there, in a classroom when it happened?
"Were you there, in a classroom when it happened?"
No, but my skin color was there, getting murdered.
No, but my skin color was there, getting murdered.
Which one, the blacks who were shot at, the whites who were shot at, or some of the others who also were shot at? You do realize the deceased include one black man, one white boy, two white women, and two white girls.
" You do realize the deceased include one black man"
Why do you insist on spoiling an otherwise perfectly good anti-white hate crime with your BLM inspired quibbling?

”You do realize the deceased include one black man”
Why do you insist on spoiling an otherwise perfectly good anti-white hate crime with your BLM inspired quibbling?
Where did I say anything like that?
You were shot at there?
So there is no “we”.
It's nice that they're releasing it in episodes, like a Disney Plus show. People can follow the developments over the next 8 weeks.
Seriously, though, why three pages and not the whole thing?
Beats me why it's not all coming out at once. At least it is finally coming out.
Same reason they didn’t do a full dump of the Twatter Files–you want to get more online viewership tuning in for the updates.
Personally, I would have just done a "flood the zone" action like Wikileaks always did and watch the fallout, but maybe Crowder's thinking it will fall out of the news cycle too quick if he does it all at once.
Ah, I finally realized why we couldn’t view it until now. This transgender youth used the very troublesome word “faggots” as a slur. It’s too triggering for the general public to be allowed to see something so gross.
Should have known. The only thing that would make the marxists look worse than being motivated by fake transphobia is fake racism.
Hey, at least we can legitimately make the argument here that the shooter was mentally ill, since she thought she sexually confused and a Columbine stan.
Too bad she didn't 41% herself like the guy in Glenwood Springs, Colorado did this past week.
I think this is coming out now, because the powers that be, after this last month, now realize the monster has turned on Dr Frankenstein. They're hoping to be Fouche rather than Robespierre.
Or possibly (more likely) Tallyrand as he regained power after the Bourbon restoration, whereas Fouche didn't (although he died only five and a half years after Waterloo, and barely five years after the second restoration of the Bourbons.
I see no sign that they've learned absolutely anything on this subject. Their response is to double down on the madness.
If sanity returns at some future point, this era of history will be examined as a period when mass delusions reigned.

It is Washington's hope that after Israel destroys Hamas—the terrorist group in charge of Gaza, and the perpetrator of the October 7 massacre that left 1,400 Israelis dead—Abbas and the Palestinian Authority could take over as the official government.
Hamas is bigger now than it was on Oct 6. And every Gazan civilian who gets killed will increase the future size of Hamas by one or two.
And if Washington is putting their hopes on Abbas, then someone is hoping that corruption and grifting is the answer to some question.
And every Gazan civilian who gets killed will increase the future size of Hamas by one or two.
Show the math.
"Hamas is bigger now than it was on Oct 6. And every Gazan civilian who gets killed will increase the future size of Hamas by one or two."
So best not to retaliate then? The REAL bullies are the ones who wont sit there getting punched in the face and do something in return.
The response to your post is "who fucking cares". Complete decimation of Hamas is the only answer, nothing else is on the table despite your whinging
Complete decimation of Hamas is the only answer,
Once upon a time, so was eliminating the Taliban and AlQaeda.
That worked well didn't it. And grannies undies are still being inspected at airports because terrorists. Nothing better than forever wars with no achievable goal.
Notably, the Taliban and Al Qaeda are not camped out on the Mexican border firing rockets into Texas on a near daily basis either.
If Mexico was doing that, would you recommend we sit on our hands and just appease Mexico by giving them part of Texas and hope they don't keep doing the same thing that actually got them what they wanted?
The fact is that giving in to terrorists makes them bolder and has never once appeased them.
^this
The situation is analogous only at a very surface level, and nothing more. The kind of comparison JFear is making is on the level of activist children trying to make arguments.
Doesnt stand up to the tiniest level of scrutiny.
the Taliban and Al Qaeda are not camped out on the Mexican border firing rockets into Texas
Give it a little time...
Which Abbas?
And if you don't know what I am talking about, then you don't know jack shit about Israeli politics.

I've spent a long time questioning why relative populations are relevant at all. If a bomb exploded and killed 5 people in China, would we say it doesn't matter because it's only .0000000036% of their population? Or if an Islamic terrorist shot 4 Americans, would we say it's the equivalent of 0.1 Israelis?
I don't think it's very enlightening. Israel is a smaller counter with fewer people than the US. We don't pretend that all countries are equal and you divide their equality by the number of people who live there to figure out how much each life is worht.
if 52,000 Americans including people you knew were slaughtered in a single attack I'm willing to throw down a Benjamin you'd be all about the response.
I’d certainly be angry about 1,400 Americans killed in a single attack. You’re not making the argument about why proportionality relative to population is an appropriate measure.
1400 Israelis doesn't mean jack shit to anyone who can't put it into perspective ... 52,000 Americans is a football stadium which most people understand
Again, you're telling what the proportionality is without explaining why proportionality is a correct way to view it. Are those lives worth more because there's fewer people living in Israel?
And 1,400 is actually a very large number of deaths for a single attack. People had a huge reaction to the Pulse Night Club shooting, which killed 49 Americans, or the equivalent of like 1.2 Israelis, if you think proportionality is significant.
It is about perspective and impact on the effected populations. Yes, the Pulse Night Club thing is also valid. Israel has been putting up with the equivalent of a Pulse Night Club attack on a monthly to weekly basis (at periods even daily) for decades now, and for the most part, have been fairly restrained in response. Now, they just endured an attack that proportionally would be 17 times greater than 9/11 in the US. This is important when some moron gives a speech about how exhilarated they felt on 10/7. Proportionally, that's seven times more killed than the US suffered during the entire Battle of the Bulge. It helps put into perspective why Israel isn't ready to discuss an "humanitarian pause". It doesn't make those deaths more or less meaningful but it helps some people place it in perspective.
I just think that the "equivalent populations" rhetoric is actually misleading. It's like saying we need to be about 41 times more angry about any Israeli killed than any American killed in a terrorist attack, simply because we've got extra. It doesn't enlighten anything.
It's bad enough that 1,400 people, mostly civilians, were killed in an unprovoked, targeted, and coordinated attack. And the fact that it was planned and coordinated is exactly why Israel is retaliating, to attempt to remove the tools and capacity Hamas used to carry out the attack, and to capture the people who were behind it. That comparison is almost like an attempt to inflate the numbers, for some reason, in order to give Israel extra justification. If people think Israel are the villains in all of this, making up numbers for comparison doesn't help. If you see Israel as the victims, you don't need some artificial framing device.
Why use the US as a comparison anyway? Why not India? Then it's the equivalent of 216,500 dead! Israel should just genocide them all!
That population comparison is purely arbitrary and not indicative about how people should feel about it.
Nobody would ever say that 9/11 wasn't such a big deal since it's equivalent of about 30 Croats.
How mad were you when 2,996 Americans were killed on 9/11? Were you even alive?
About 72.6 Israelis worth of mad, I guess, since we're doing population comparisons that don't mean anything.
As a simple point, relative population in this context might matter because it gives a sense of relative scale of the atrocity.
Weird that a thinking mind is unable to grasp such a simple concept when comparisons like this are used literally every day in hundreds of different contexts for a variety of purposes.
I'd agree that at least some people who engage in such comparisons are probably trying to get an emotional reaction instead of a rational one, but rationally 1000+ people dead in a single act is horrific no matter how you compare and contrast. Glad we agree there.
Given how many morons are marching in favor of the antagonist in this particular case, maybe they're just trying to get it through the thick skulls of the pro-Palestine crowd what the scale of the atrocity is for Israel. Emotional arguments probably won't work on them though since they are in favor of massacring civilians. That doesn't scream rational or emotional, but rather outright brainwashed retardation.
The pro-Palestine crowd can just throw back the same ratios about the numbers of dead in Gaza, especially with Hamas inflated numbers. If 10/7 was the equivalent of 52,000 Americans (A point that I don’t concede and find illogical) then the Israeli response that’s killed 10,000, to them, is the equivalent of 1.9 million dead Americans.
They’ve made up their minds about who is right and who is wrong. The attempt to play numbers game doesn’t affect the moral calculus. And the proportionality doesn’t actually change the scale. 1,400 dead is not actually equivalent to 52,000.
Sorry, my digits are wrong, that should be .00000036%, not .0000000036%. That changes everything.
" We don’t pretend that all countries are equal and you divide their equality by the number of people who live there to figure out how much each life is worht.
What's stopping you? There are 10 million Israelis and the US government gives Israel 3.3 billion each each, $330 for each Israeli.
Lebanon's population is about 5 million. Aid received, 800 million, $166 for Lebanese.
No idea what fucking point you're making.
Are you asking for a clue?

I have absolutely nothing to do with who stands where in the line.
Promises made by governments are worth jack shit and you are a sucker if you depend on them.
me? or it's cool if Brandon pulls the plug on whatever was promised to whom?
No, that was the generic "you".
I can't respect a promise that involves taking my resources by force and using them for things I disapprove of, nor can I expect anyone else to do so.
Something you should ask Jimmy Carter about, since much of what we spend on Israel has to do with the promises he made in the Camp David Accords in the name of peace between Egypt and Israel.
I don't disagree with it, but if we are going to, I am far better with giving money to Israel, that been a strategic partner for decades, and who we have multiple agreements with, than Ukraine, which hasn't been a strategic partner, and who we have very few agreements with in regards to defense and strategic partnerships. It isn't that Ukrainians matter less, just that one is a long time ally, the other isn't. If, and it's a big if, you are going to take my taxes and give them to another country, priority should be to allies.
>>They know that an open-ended and ever-escalating war between Israel and Hamas is bad for everyone

nothing about Jasmine Crockett (D) verbalizing the stupidity of black people on CNN?
I missed this one, elaborate?
This one?
https://www.bizpacreview.com/2023/11/06/dem-lawmaker-has-incredible-take-on-why-black-voters-are-turning-away-from-biden-1410238/
On Sunday’s edition of CNN’s “State of the Union.” Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) joined anchor Dana Bash and the panel as they dissected the grim numbers for Biden’s reelection hopes and her incredible take seemed to be that black people aren’t smart enough to know what’s good for them.
“Here’s the deal,” Crockett said. “Perception is reality, and so when you look at the data that was provided in this poll, it talks about how people feel, and when people decide whether they’re going to the poll or not going to the poll it’s all about how you feel in that moment, and so while the facts may not align with their feelings, their feelings are dictating their reality.”
She continued, “Their reality is that they said that they feel better or they felt better when Trump was in office. But we’ve been trying to push back. We’ve got some very popular African-American artists that are out here saying things like ‘oh, I got checks when Trump was in office, and I want those checks again,’ not understanding that they really came from Congress.”
“So we’ve got a couple of things the perception issue, and then we also have an issue as it relates to civics in this country and people not understanding exactly how any of this works,” Crockett concluded.
According to the New York Times, “Black voters — long a bulwark for Democrats and for Mr. Biden — are now registering 22 percent support in these states for Mr. Trump, a level unseen in presidential politics for a Republican in modern times.”
I can vouch, anecdotally, for it based on my neighbor (who is black) telling me why he supports Trump and hates Biden and Democrats.
gracias for the link. I love the smell of anecdata in the morning.
Just remember, despite black people apparently being stupid enough to go off the reservation in concerning numbers, as indicated above, the population is still +8 in favor of unnamed Democrats.

"Things are not going well for Ukraine in its war with Russia, and it's only a matter of time before the country needs to negotiate with its attacker."
Hmmm. Is it Kosher to apply this logic to Israel, Hamas and Gaza?
To wit:
Things are not going well for Gaza in its war with Israel, and it's only a matter of time before the country needs to negotiate with the country it declared war on and attacked.
"and it’s only a matter of time before the country needs to negotiate with the country it declared war on and attacked."
They've undoubtedly been negotiating for some time now, at least through proxies. There's the matter of a prisoner exchange and a ceasefire, though there are other issues either side is pressing for.
Yeah, asshole. One side demands the other cease to exist.
Your imbecility is impressive.
"Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday. His goal was to reassure Abbas that the Biden administration is doing everything it can to limit civilian casualties as Israel continues to bomb the Gaza Strip."
No problem, since Biden support US allies who are experts at mostly peaceful warfare, er, protests.
These are big liabilities. In the 2020 Democratic primaries, one of the most compelling arguments for Biden was electability
It was NOT a compelling argument. It was an argument, quite uncompelling, in fact. It was the widely tossed around lie that ended up getting more votes than any candidate in the history of the solar system. Everyone, including the people who voted for him, knew Biden was a bumbling, stumbling, dementia-addled candidate who "simply wasn't Trump".
The dark stuff behind the scenes is Biden was pushed to the fore because the Deep State Neocons knew they could best manipulate him into doing their bidding. That's why Biden, who started the whole Dem campaign for 2020 as an also-ran was mysteriously rocketed to first place.
And picking Harris as Veep? That was one of the most uncompelling, confusing decisions ever. If there's one political party in this country that works in lock step and takes the orders given to it, it's Democrats. Democrats hated Harris and yet they still voted for her.

All the contenders were eminently manipulable. Biden had two things going for him. It was his turn and his name wasn't Bernie Sanders.

*this is fine, no social contagion going on*
And, of course, all of them look like a group of dudes who make Uncle Fester, Cousin It, and Pugsley Addams look hot (and are depicted wearing "Trans Dudes/Women Are Hotter" like the retards showing up to a Taylor Swift concert wearing a Taylor Swift shirt).
"Can I borrow the penis tonight, Dad? I have a date."
"I took it home, washed it off and put it back on. I was happy again. Complete. People sometimes tell me I should get it permanently attached, but I don't know--even though sometimes it's a pain in the ass, I like having a detachable penis"
Man, I haven't heard that one in ages. Blast from the past, but weirdly appropriate for today.
a massive crowd formed outside the White House to chant "fuck Joe Biden."
Leftists always form their firing squads in a circle.
FTFY.
Stop playing games. Palestine = Hamas; Hamas = Palestine.
Which will hopefully go down in history as one of the most pathetically pussy moves that hangs over the head of Arab culture for the rest of time.
*sucker punches someone*

Maybe Biden can bring the American people together!
Who the hell cares about Abbas? Certainly not Palestinians.
