The Feds Monkey Around With Monkeypox
The FDA delayed the delivery of 1 million vaccine doses, and many high-risk Americans were turned away from health clinics that had run out of vaccines.

Monkeypox is relatively hard to catch and rarely kills, but infection can be a miserable experience. In addition to fever, chills, muscle aches, and exhaustion, people infected with monkeypox often have to endure painful rashes and lesions that can last up to a month and spread the disease to others.
By comparison, COVID-19, while also relatively rarely fatal and frequently mild, was contagious enough that it killed large numbers of people in vulnerable groups. But monkeypox's less lethal impact does not explain why federal health officials have responded to the virus with such ineptitude, especially after their experience with disastrous COVID-19 missteps.
Beginning in May 2022, a new monkeypox outbreak spread across Europe, the United States, and eventually the world. Initial cases were diagnosed in England, first spread by a British traveler who had returned from Nigeria. The first case in the U.S. was documented in Boston on May 19. As of August 18, there were more than 14,000 documented cases in the United States. There were more than 40,000 infections across 94 countries.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a vaccine called Jynneos to treat both monkeypox and smallpox. The U.S. had more than 1 million doses, stored in Denmark. But the federal government could not quickly transport the vaccine to the United States because the facility where it was stored had not been inspected by U.S. officials. Although European agencies had inspected it, the FDA would not accept those independent results. Even as the virus began to spread in the United States, FDA officials insisted on performing their own inspection, which delayed importation.
Worse, The New York Times discovered that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) slow-walked its entire response to monkeypox's arrival in the United States. Even after FDA inspection made 300,000 doses of vaccine available, most of them did not arrive until mid-July, and it wasn't until the very end of July that local health agencies could start requesting the additional 786,000 doses that were finally being delivered to the United States.
Even after the first monkeypox cases were diagnosed in the U.S., HHS officials let more than 200,000 doses that the department had bought go to European countries instead. Meanwhile, many Americans in high-risk categories (most prominently, men who have sex with men) were turned away from health clinics that had run out of vaccines.
If federal health officials learned anything from COVID-19, they have not yet figured out how to apply that knowledge.

90 days of social distancing by those most at risk would be the end of the outbreak.
I am making 80 US dollars per hr. to complete some internet services from home. I did not ever think it would even be achievable , however my confidant mate got $13k only in four weeks, easily doing this best assignment and also she convinced me to avail.

“Just two weeks out of the bath house to stop the spread, guys.”
Also, amusingly, a friend of mine who lives in Berlin just sent me a photo of some graffiti there that reads, in what appear to be about 4 foot high letters on a boarded up window, "FUCK JOE BIDEN".
Great article, Mike. I appreciate your work, I’m now creating over $35400 dollars each month simply by doing a simple job online! I do know You currently making a lot (ans-08) of greenbacks online from $28000 dollars, its simple online operating jobs

Shackford doesn’t want to keep his pants on for 90 days.
“especially after their experience with disastrous COVID-19 missteps.”
Missteps? Have you seen their portfolios?

Depends what your definition of “had” is.

I blame The Jones Act. A couple thousand more merchant marines and this monkeypox outbreak would've been stowed away in the aft cargo hold with enough time to scrub down the poop deck.
"high-risk Americans"
Is that code for "gay cis men who attend bathhouse orgies at least once per week"?
Personally I am disgusted that DeSantis' mismanagement of this plague has forced them to scale back their orgy schedule to twice per month. Nobody should have to make such a tremendous sacrifice.

Don't say gay.
Seriously,
ctrl+f 'gay': 0 results
ctrl+f 'homo': 0 results
(One cannot contract monkeypox searching for gays and homos in Scott's articles, right? Asking for a friend. Who's also not gay. NTTAWWT.)
And apparently it's just like COVID so being in the same room with a gay man is likely to spread infection, now how was monkeypox spread again and what does this say about gay men Scott is familiar with?
Try searching: most prominently, men who have sex with men
ctrl + f 'sex with men': 0 results
If you get the monkey pox vaccine, do you have to take in the ass, or is it the other way around?

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
In addition to fever, chills, muscle aches, and exhaustion, people infected with monkeypox often have to endure painful rashes and lesions that can last up to a month and spread the disease to others.
*giggles*
Enduring spreading the disease to others doesn't seem to have been a problem.
*sniggers*
At no point is it ever a gay man's responsibility to take any personal responsibility for their actions. That is what I'm getting from Scott's latest screed about how the government must protect him from his actions. Fuck off you proggy bitch.
Expecting people to behave responsibly can lead to being judgemental about sexual activity, which is verboten in today's zeitgeist.
Shackford has missed the third side of the fed triangle in this clusterfuck, the CDC. The organization whose mission is preparedness, planning, and defense against infection diseases, their side gig in political theater related to firearms and the like aside. He's also missed that his condemnation comes more than a day late and a dollar short, and sounds more than a bit like waffling from another 'editor' who views topics through the lens of their own lifestyle.
Monkeypox was sooooo Pride Month. It's covid season again. #uptheanitbodies
what Shackford doesn't understand is he thinks the delays were due to bureaucracy when the bureaucracy was used to delay so as to have another panic. For further evidence I heard on the news about this winter being a trippledemic thats right folks its not just a pandemic or even a doubledemic it is now a trippledemic and you better get vaced or else we are all going to die
Sure, the government is a bunch of fuck ups. That said, 2 points show that Shackford (as usual) can't see the forest for the trees.
First, this focus on vaccines borders on obsessive compulsive disorder. Have we not learned over the past 2 years that vaccines are not a panacea? But even further, I question any libertarian trying to micromanage government actions here. The fact that these vaccines exist in some refrigerated cave in Denmark is completely a figment of government. This entire situation- from hiring government employees to monitor "World Health" to identifying threats, to funding broad research, to banking vaccines for years in the hopes they might get used- all of it is one big government morass that a libertarian should reject wholesale.
The problem is not that the government is fucking up vaccine deployment. The problem is that government solutions to this problem are one big fairy tale. To argue some specific step in this process is to accept a giant fairy tale of government capabilities. We waste billions and billions of dollars worldwide on programs that fail every step of the way. They fail to predict outbreaks (and may even fund them). They fail to get basic, accurate information to the public. They fail to direct the resources of our economy to bear on the problems. They enrich cronies, give us false sense of security, and feed into the social-political cess pool of civilization. It's all a big fiction.
This brings me to the second point, which is the appropriate response to this outbreak. What we see here, and what we have seen in the past 2 years, is that the government is completely helpless to meaningfully impact the spread of these diseases. They make a lot of people rich, and even more people poor. They vilify and obfuscate, and create all sorts of moral hazards. But they don't actually help stop the disease itself.
It is noteworthy to me that for 2 years, we had to sit here and watch usual suspects bitching that walking around unmasked or unvaccinated was literal aggression. But now those people are nowhere to be seen. This is why the government doesn't work. Because for all their claims to scientific authority, they are emoting monkeys like the rest of us. The government (and they) would scold children for not wearing a muzzle, but have to be badgered into admitting that this disease is spread by people choosing to have sex when they have obvious symptoms of the disease. Note the distinction there: a person- who is not infected- walking around without a mask is a villain, while a person bumping ugly while fluids leak out of visible sores on their junk goes without mention.
The answer to this disease is to return some fucking responsibility and accountability to the nation. At the least, devolve these responses to localities, but ideally refocus on individual responsibility. Stop complaining about the government missing opportunities to centrally plan our way out of these messes, and focus instead on what individuals can do to be moral actors when it comes to natural pathogens.
so did they also manufacture aids and blame it on monkeys instead of bats?
I think it is the NIH funding gain of function research on monkey pox to make it worse. They are probably disappointed this last one didn't take off and want to try again.

Ask the Nazi-Empire if your special enough to get healthcare...
Sh*t; Reasonable people have been saying this all along.
Don't build a Nazi(National Socialist)-Empire because it will end up a disaster.
