I thought you guys would be taking Juneteenth off.
Today is not Juneteenth. Unless you want it to be.
Lots of governments and businesses are closed today, to make a three day weekend like with other contrived holidays.
I got the day off, but celebrated yesterday.
Hard to call it the "...teenth" when it ends in "....ieth".
It's just a contraction of June and 19th.
The word always struck my cringe reflex, but it's a century and a half old so I'm good with it. Even celebrating a day later, it took a long time for word to make it to Galvaston, so the origin of the holiday is the end of the sort of long, slow distribution of news that happened in the days when nothing moved faster than a horse could walk or a boat could sail. News of the Emancipation took years to spread everywhere.
Just briefly, I was impressed he has 45 ex-wives/girlfriend.
Then of course, I was shocked and dismayed any police officer would do such a thing.
They weren't all his ex-girlfriends. He just called them that because he stalked them.
Well, if he calls them that, then that is what they are.
That's how it works now.
It's like people calling their current fuck-buddy their "fiance".
They were so his girlfriends!
They just didn't know it.
I'm sure some of those searches where the exes' current boyfriends/friends/family/etc.. he did not just pull the ex girlfriends' records.
If you're not using the surveillance state to enrich the state then you're useless.
Somebody should have told him such spying should be reserved for political enemies.
If you have access to private information via databases and don't use it to find out information about your exes or who you're stalking, I have no respect for you whatsoever.
It's snarky, but true.
This is really why I think things like wealth taxes are horrific for privacy. The Government is staffed with people, any of those people who can pull up a tax return get to see very intimate, private, personal information about my fiances. It's creepy as fuck. There's always going to be someone like this dude, somewhere, in any organization large enough. This guy was just stupid enough to get caught.
"see very intimate, private, personal information about my fiances."
Freudian as fuck.
Had he learned to code, perhaps he could have covered this tracks a bit better.
I wonder if this kind of stalking would put him in the "boyfriend loophole" and get his ability to buy a gun taken away.
