Brickbat: Bend Over

Lawrence County, Alabama, schools Superintendent Jon Bret Smith has placed Hazlewood Elementary School Principal Datie Priest on paid leave and issued her a written reprimand claiming she, among other things, violated the school system's discipline policy. Smith said Priest paddled one student twice on one day, once for 10 licks and the second for five. Smith said that "generally" only three licks are allowed. Smith said Priest did not properly document the paddlings. He also cited an instance where Priest told two school employees she would "throat punch" an autistic student who ran into her if he ran into her again. He also said clock-in times show she arrives 45 minutes to an hour late each day.

With a name like that, you almost have to abuse kids.
All that gets paid leave and a written reprimand?
Welllll, she has an Ed. D degree, which means, you know, something, something “Dr Priest”. Then there is this gem in the Yahoo link:
District 1 school board member Christine Garner and Lawrence County Chapter of NAACP Vice President Bobby Diggs said they feel the superintendent is biased in his treatment of Priest. "Dr. Smith needs to become more aware of what is going on at Hazlewood Elementary.
It is the kids fault? That is an odd claim considering the school webpage boasts:
“We are excited to be Hazlewood Elementary School, "Where we believe in our students!"

“We are excited to be Hazlewood Elementary School, "Where we believe in our students!"
How very existential they are! They exist, and are named! This excites them. And they believe their students exist! Although, admirably, they don't just take said " existence" as a matter of belief, but rigorously test it by vigorously striking the students. "I bruise, therefore I am."?
I have to wonder if institutions of such excellence account for the fact that Kamala Harris and AOC can show that they are "educated"
I guess the school doesn't have a resource officer to abuse the students.
"Some people think because she's a Black woman, she can't be a good principal. In Alabama, it's hard for a Black woman to excel."
Racist!
Everyone who wants to excel comes in late and threatens to abuse children, don't you know that?
Hey, work schedules are racist, and violent words and actions from oppressed category people are cultural expression.
Yeah, those kids are lucky she didn’t challenge them to a knife fight, which is culturally acceptable.
Those are "Non-White traits", then?
And will probably get celebrated on the next Smithsonian poster.
"It takes a village to beat a chile proper."
In Alabama, it's hard for a Black woman to excel."
It seems to be difficult everywhere in the world...
Sh*t! I think I dialed in the wrong century. Does anyone have a spare flux capacitor and some plutonium?
It's called Mr Fusion, get with the times.
Try the '50s. Corporal punishment hadn't been invented yet.
Invented, actually yes, but he was still a Private.
Bend Over would be a good name for a band made of politicians and government employees.
"Datie Priest makes you Bend Over" makes for a good headline too.
Since Reason can't be bothered with the details, you can read them on Yahoo News:

Among other things:
This is why we need more equity in teaching.
>>Smith said that "generally" only three licks are allowed.
close the conformity factories.
And the Tootsie Pop factories
Screw you and your "Don't Say Gay!" bigotry. - Disney
Screw you and your "Don't Say Gay!" bigotry
As expected, there is one in every crowd. The title of the article is “Bend Over”, and here comes the homo advocating gay sex. So typical of fudge packers. Must everything be about gay sex, bruh?
