You Can Build Your Own Rifle

One of my mother's uncles had a laconic response to a proposed gun ban in long-ago New Jersey. "Doesn't matter. We'll build our own." His comment came back to me after my wife gifted our son (and me) a jig for completing an unfinished AR-15 lower receiver. Like my great uncle, we built our own.
Making personal firearms is legal under federal law, if that matters to you, although local rules vary. Finishing "80 percent" receivers is a popular way to take advantage of that leeway, since the roughed-out blocks of polymer or aluminum—shaped like the part of the AR-15 rifle that contains the hammer, safety, and trigger, but solid where those parts should fit—can be purchased without the paperwork required for buying a firearm. It's a modern take on my great uncle's hobby, eased by jigs that guide drill bits and end mills for finishing the project.
My wife gave us the 80% Arms Easy Jig, one of several competing products. Having done this just once, I can't tell you which is best, but the Easy Jig got the job done, and it includes clear instructions to complement the online video.
First, we drilled the pilot hole needed to start milling the pocket for the fire control group (basically, the hammer and trigger). Despite plenty of oil, my drill press kept binding. I repeatedly had to use a corded hand drill to back out the bit, which came in a package of tools also purchased from 80% Arms, before resuming. Eventually, the bit won the battle.
Attaching the end mill from the toolkit to a router and milling out the pocket was easier than anticipated. With lots of patience, we took turns removing layers of aluminum. Molded into the jig are gauges for incrementally extending the end mill, but our router unlocked a couple of times, cutting deeper than intended. Fortunately, that never happened when it mattered. We learned to anticipate such slips by feel so we could tighten the router.
Next, we drilled holes for the hammer, safety, and trigger, using bits from the toolkit. The included bubble level helped horizontally orient the receiver relative to the drill press.
Because we focused on finishing a lower receiver, for the rest of the build we used a parts kit from Palmetto State Armory. For guidance, we turned to The AR-15 Complete Assembly Guide by Walt Kuleck and Clint McKee as well as the online Ultimate Visual Guide from Pew Pew Tactical. The book walks you through the process, while the well-illustrated Ultimate Visual Guide suggests workarounds for some specialized tools. An inexpensive gunsmithing punch set proved indispensable.
At first, the safety wouldn't slip into place. When I probed with the drill bit, I discovered that the holes on each side of the frame were just a hair out of alignment. A slow turn of the bit in the drill removed a whisker of aluminum, and in the safety went.
"It's simpler inside than I expected," my son, Anthony, told me as he installed parts and figured out how they make the firearm function.
Building a rifle "won't make you an AR-15 armorer, but it will make you a more knowledgeable owner," Kuleck and McKee note. "In short, if you build it, you'll know how to repair it."
That's a reminder that too many things in our lives might as well be magic given our limited understanding of how they work. We can't demystify everything, but examining a few things important to us enriches our knowledge while giving us more control over our lives.
To find out if our new rifle would go bang, we went to the local range. Anthony got first dibs. Yes, our home-built AR-15 works as intended!
Unfortunately, the Biden administration sees political advantage in tightening rules on DIY firearms. Anything that can "readily be converted" to shoot, according to extremely subjective criteria, may soon be identified as a firearm under regulatory revisions proposed by the administration. But even the proposed revisions leave room for hobbyists to make their own guns, just as my great uncle did long before 80 percent receivers existed.
Anthony eagerly anticipated the answer he would offer to the inevitable "What did you do this summer?" questions at school. As for me, I'm more prepared than ever to rebut control freaks' demands for tighter restrictions the same way my great uncle did: "Doesn't matter. We'll build our own."

I know several responsible people doing this. I am not a craftsmen. I know this after 30 years of trying to be. So I have just purchased some nice guns that are prefinished and choose to live in a location that allows me the freedom to do all that I want to do with it. Two of my guns were purchased through licensed dealers. One was purchased from a friend and there is no record of it. I chose these purchase routes based on price and availability not a fear of the government.
You forgot to mention they fell off your boat in a tragic accident.
All of my family's firearms sunk to the bottom of in a tragic boating / hunting accident.
It was really hard finding somewhere to have a tragic boating accident in the NM desert. Yeesh.
Global warming caused the sea level to rise all the way up to nm
I make 85 dollars each hour for working an online job at home. KLA I never thought I could do it but my best friend makes 10000 bucks every month working this job and she recommended me to learn more about it. The potential with this is endless.

It happened on that oceanfront property I purchased in Arizona:
https://youtu.be/QCvW32n4z38
I was thinking before I clicked, "That had better be George..."
Damn, he made it look easy. 60 #1 singles, per the wiki.
House fires make suitable locations if you have no water nearby.
Before long we will have to make our own boats.
The book on how to do that is what I want on a desert island. Save all the others for when I get home.
Swear gun owners are the absolute worst boat drivers.
What's a swear gun? Can I build one?
They use percussing caps to ignite the powder.
Damn right you can!
I think he means "I swear." Some people who are afraid to swear also say "I swany." Beats me where people get this guff.
What’s a swear gun?
A fucking S&W Sigma.
A Swear Gun doesn't go "Bang!" -- when you pull the trigger, a flag pops out the muzzle, saying "Let's Go, Brandon!"
Yeah, I inherited a few rifles and shotguns from my family, but I also inherited the family boat and it was so old it sank, unfortunately, and all the guns with it.
Nope. Guns are locked up at home.
When you build it yourself, it makes "The Rifleman's Creed" even more personal:
This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
Without me, my rifle is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless. I must fire my rifle true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will ...
My rifle and I know that what counts in war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the hits that count. We will hit ...
My rifle is human, even as I [am human], because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its sights and its barrel. I will keep my rifle clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will ...
Before God, I swear this creed. My rifle and I are the defenders of my country. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life.
All good advice on gun use and maintenance, but the firearm is a human invention, not a human with a life, a rational faculty, and volition. To say otherwise falls right into the gun control freaks' hands.
Also, if there were an Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnibenevolent God to swear to, why would anyone need a firearm anyway?
To all the “boating accident “ victims on this thread: I represent a certain….federal agency which specializes in compensation for such unfortunate occurrences. Please provide your full legal names and street addresses below, citizens.
As more people travel to space, there are also going to be a lot of "tragic escape pod accidents" too. Maybe some "accidental stow-away cargo" that gets blown up on a Musk-Mobile.
"Or, Laddie, some of those powder-using Shillelaghs might end up having a bloody transporter accident! Aye! Those are always look awful to watch, Matey!"
At first, the safety wouldn't slip into place. When I probed with the drill bit, I discovered that the holes on each side of the frame were just a hair out of alignment. A slow turn of the bit in the drill removed a whisker of aluminum, and in the safety went.
Does anyone else need a cigarette after reading this? Man, I don't even smoke and I'm turned on by this doing your own gun thing!
You Can Build Your Own Rifle... But be prepared to have Government Almighty take pot-shots at you, for having done so!
You can ALSO build your own Deadly Medical Implements of Mass Death and Destruction, bypassing Government Almighty MANDATES that you get a prescription first! I speak of the dreaded "lung flute" and other such deadly devices! I strongly recommend that you do NOT raise the ire of Government Almighty!

I think building your own 1911 is awesome. It's awesome from a self-sufficiency perspective--like growing your own food, building your own hot rod, educating your own children, or building yourself a cabin.
The time people spend working for other people is largely wasted. Mores so than people realize, and a lot of them might be happier if they spent that time making their own stuff rather than earning money to buy it.
The downsides are mostly about female companionship and family responsibilities. However many women there are out there who are onboard with sacrificing status for autonomy, it's a smaller pool.
Can't help but wonder if that Gabby Petito situation ultimately had something to do with life on the road--and doing without--not being all it was cracked up to be.
The Moab, Utah LEO encounter video displayed a lack of maturity by both of them suggesting neither had a proper skillset to be involved in a romantic relationship with hints of toxic behavior. I don’t think unplugging and leaving the rat race was “the” or even “a” factor; two “not relationship material” folks spending time together when one showed signs of aggression was.
They're famous youtubers who carefully curate their lives to be on camera. Imagine your worst hollywood reality show tv producer, but essentially living your life that way, 24x7.
I think it was a catalyst.
Since Kerouac's On the Road became a thing, twenty-somethings have been hitting the road only to get homesick real quick. They got cabin fever, and . . .
I live near the beach with three girls when I was in my early 20s. It was a fucking nightmare. When I was in boarding school, the girls on the other side of campus were . . . I thought it was preparing them for college--being on their own. To say that young women can be volatile shouldn't be controversial, and that young guys have probably never had to deal with women like that on an intimate basis shouldn't be controversial either. Killing each other under those circumstances is by no means normal, but young couples driving each other nuts isn't uncommon at that age.
"...Killing each other under those circumstances is by no means normal, but young couples driving each other nuts isn’t uncommon at that age."
A big takeaway from the whole thing should be, 'Don't be with anyone who either beats on you, or pisses you off enough that you beat on them.' Especially if you're a guy. Flip the people around, and Laundrie gets hooked up for DV by those Moab cops. Cryin' ain't going to help him. A DV arrest, never mind a conviction, can fuck up your whole life. For one, a conviction'll stop you from legally owning a rifle like the one 2Chilly and his kid just built. Future prospective employers might be put off hiring you too.
If you can't spend a week together on a backpacking trip without getting on each other's nerves, hitting the road on a semi-permanent basis probably isn't a good idea.
And the reason you see a lot of these overlanding, etc. fandoms are sausage fests is because women generally don't want to get away from society and don't want to go without having their own bathroom.
It happens with motorcycle guys a lot, too. I've ridden through Death Valley up over 100mph when the stars light up the desert so bright, it looks like you're riding across the surface of the moon. I've strung my hammock up next to waterfalls and overlooking mountain vistas covered with wildflowers--it looked like Narnia.
You bring back the photos, talk about the adventures, and the woman in your life doesn't want to miss out on all that. What they don't realize is that I've also broken down without cell service in the middle of nowhere and no one to fix my bike but me. They don't realize that I've gone four or five days without a shower or a bath.
There are very few women who really do want to ride on the back of your bike for a week under those circumstances, and there are legions of women who think they want to do that--right up until something bad happens, which almost certainly will at some point during the trip.
RV living and overlanding exploded during the pandemic--as an alternative to being locked in at home. My bet is that the divorce rate skyrockets after the pandemic--and that's without people going on the road and spending 24/7 together for weeks at a time.
Take her on a trip for a week, and if she doesn't tell you at the end that she wants to back on the road, forget about it. There are women out there in the world who want to do these things, but you'd be better off finding a girlfriend that's already doing something like that than trying to take the girlfriend you already have and hoping she'll be okay living without friends, family, plumbing, status, or a feeling of safety.
If she is with the right man, she is safe and feels that way.
Because you're confident you can take care of things when they go wrong (and because you're more than adequately prepared for whatever will go wrong), doesn't mean she'll ever feel safe. And the wilderness is inherently dangerous. The road is a crazy place! And some of those adventures, like the one they were on, were situations where there wasn't a question of whether something would go wrong. Bad things will happen--even in an RV. Even really well built RVs aren't meant to be taken out for months at a time and driven down shitty roads. Those things are constantly falling apart. If you feel safe, you're probably wrong to do so.
You know what RV stands for?
Ruined vacation.
Many years ago my wife rented a cabin and we and the kids showed up to stay the night. Very excited about it. At 9:00 PM she got in the car and said see you tomorrow. Went home. Slept in her own bed and picked us up in the morning. She still brings up thoughts of RV/'van life. I am like, fine, with who are you doing this with?
Yeah, there's the way we picture the world, and the way it really is. There's the way things are, and there's the way we want them to be. And there's the kind of people we are and what we care about, and that sometimes isn't the kind of person we want to be. And there are plenty of women out there who joined the Peace Corp or went backpacking in the Nepal or South America, are really glad they did--and never want to do it again.
Slept in her own bed
Alone?
"...don’t want to go without having their own bathroom...
Oh yes, this. But even women who aren't having fun with the trip, usually don't escalate it to beating on their partner.
Those that do? You need to get away from them as soon as possible. Run like your ass is on fire, and the nearest bucket of water is a mile away. Leave your shit. Let her have it (which may or may not be the motto of Family Court...). It's still better for you.
You can always buy more shit. You can't rebuy a clean criminal record.
The Death Valley vistas sound awesome. My GF loved traipsing around the Eastern Sierra. Provided there was a hotel room and shower at the end of the day. Was not a fan of my trial balloon, "We could save money by camping in the back of the Prius! It's huge!" (It really is. It's the modern American station wagon, if you've ever driven one.)
Yeah....
Oh I wish I could build a MOAB! I could clear some wilderness real quick to build a home or maybe incinerate a lot of deer and wildlife!
Brian Laundrie has been found, not just dead, but fully skeletonized.
What the Fuck? It hasn't been that long since he supposedly disappeared. Heck, it hasn't been that long since Gabby disappeared. Makes me wonder if an unknown third party killed both of them.
Just what the fuck are his parent's hiding?
Lots of hungry critters in Florida.
Surprisingly it only takes a week or two for Mother Nature to strip a body down to the bone. In some places the ants will consume the skeleton itself, leaving literally no evidence after a few months.
sarc's made plans for his ex.
Great You caused sarc to go victim mode early.
I see a Canadian turd left a turd. I imagine it's something nitpicky about clothes and such.
Sarcasmic swears he isn't peeking, but sometimes he just can't resist.
Afraid to ask how you know, so I’ll assume you saw it on the Discovery Channel or something.
A documentary on NPR where they used pig carcasses in the desert to see what kind of evidence is left of illegals who don't make it. Answer - not much. It's an interesting listen. If you don't mind them talking about vultures fighting over intestines.
I've heard that an alligator in Florida has petitioned for the reward money offered.
It was good the gator located him because authorities had been swamped with leads they needed to investigate.
That whole alligator thing is just a croc. Case closed!
A month, underwater (allegedly), in steamy Florida? I buy it. If not skeletonized, then enough decomp that many soft tissues sloughed off readily. I'd still expect a lot of tendons and other tougher tissue to remain in part though. Maybe that's ambitious.
From personal experience, insects are extremely effective at removing soft tissue from bone. (I was trying to get the remaining flesh off the skull of a game animal, for later taxidermy, after I'd removed the hide and large tissue. Yellow jackets were enthusiastic at the task.) Florida is an extremely buggy state, and its swamps, even more so.
I wonder what cause of death was? I also wonder why neither the FBI nor the Grand Teton area law enforcement department, ever issued an arrest warrant for Laundrie, for Petito's murder. I.e., what piece of, as of yet unstated, evidence was precluding them from issuing the warrant? I'd think they'd have had more than enough P.C. to get one, after her body was discovered.
Another darkly hilarious thing. The Keystone Kops have been traipsing all over SW Florida for over a month and find nothing but other dead people. His parents come back to the swamp, get out of the car, and within 90 minutes find not just Laundrie's stuff, but his corpse too? I mean, what the fuck?
They are trained to issue speeding tickets and escort parents from school board meetings when challenging the board about their daughter being raped when under the public school’s guardianship.
Have seen it with a dive team that travels around the country attempting to locate missing people suspected of being submerged. One LEO group had used radar in a pond and missed a car. The group found it.
My thought is that they knew exactly where his body was before hand.
Had to have. I mean, it sounded like they drove to the preserve, got out of the car, walked off the trail, and found the guy. You'd think they'd have told the cops, if they were worried about him... Just pathetic, the whole way 'round.
I will laugh my ass off if, in 20 years or so when the rest of the file gets FOIA'd, it turns out there was a significant other possible perp for the Petitto killing, but the FBI soft-pedalled it, and Laundrie blew his head off due to guilt/shame over her death, plus being Richard Jewell'd
"A month, underwater (allegedly), in steamy Florida? I buy it. If not skeletonized, then enough decomp that many soft tissues sloughed off readily."
The FBI explicitly said fully skeletonized. I take that to mean not even a scrap of soft tissue left.
The FBI, unfortunately, is not a fully reliable spokesperson here. Though they'd be delighted to arrest you for similarly mis-speaking. The FBI have fucked this up about as many ways as possible. Though they certainly got a gift handed to them, with the main suspect for the homicide conveniently blowing his brains out and allowing them (in the next month or so, I'm sure) to close the Pettito case.
Fully skeletonized? Ehhh, not saying it's impossible, but I'd like a S. Florida M.E. (don't call them a 'coroner') to weigh in on the likelihood.
How did Laundrie end up dying, anyway? With that pistol we saw Gabby posing with in a social media post?
What's more, if he committed suicide, how did his body end up in an area that was under water until recently? Without something to hold them down, human bodies float.
You can certainly define your own balance between self-sufficiency and comparative advantage, but anyone who aspires to more than frontier subsistence farming will need to engage a majority of their time in trade. And not the kind of trade where we exchange potatoes for apples.
Perhaps you can live without modern electronics, but even farmers buy tools and machinery, and few farmers will have the time to also operate their own iron mine and smelter. Also, few farmers have time to sit around indulging idle distractions.
You need a certain amount of money. You can live off of your investments. You can make a certain amount of money working online. Your job doesn't need to be full time, and you don't need a lot of income or a job with a lot of responsibility. These are choices people make. There are trade offs.
As I have always observed, it take a rich man to live like a poor one.
It is always good to be the Ben Franklin "Jack of All Trades and Master of Many," but no one does it all at once at the same time.
Also that whole division of labor thingy and how it improves life for everyone....
Don't forget the qualitative judgements in how it improves life.If you'd rather spend your time chopping wood, working a garden, or tending chickens than being in an office working with people you hate--because you have a big house payment to make, etc. You're the only one who can say what is an improvement.
I sometimes have what I call billion dollar moments, where if I could be anywhere in the world doing anything I wanted, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else doing anything else. They often happen in the wilderness, on a motorcycle, or in the ocean, and they almost never happen when I'm in the office.
There is something to building your own cabin or building your own hot rod or building your own 1911 that make it special--even if that isn't reflected in the price on the open market. And utility is maximized in markets, partly, because everyone is free to pursue their own individual qualitative preferences.
If what's important to you isn't what's important to everybody else, that shouldn't matter.
You can build your own rifle. Just don’t let Alec Baldwin handle it.
This is my rifle,
This is my gun,
This one's for killin',
This one's for fun!
In boot camp, a recruit made the mistake of referring to his rifle as a gun. The DI made him stand in front of everyone and demonstrate which was which.
Or Dick Cheney...
Hmm, Baldwin vs. Cheney. Can we rig it so they both lose?
The gunfight ended in a tie?
I have no opinion whether you allow Alec Baldwin to handle your Dick Cheney or not.
There's a federal case working its way up through the courts about that right now. The SCROTUS will probably decide soon, when it finally cums their way!
My guns have killed less people than...

Politicians want to take away our self-defense rights to give us "freedom from gun violence".
Brian Laundrie took Gabby Petito's life to forever free her from ANY future suffering in her life!
Saint Ashli Babbitt died for our vote-fraud sins, to give us freedom from future bad decisions of the voters, vote-thieves, and democracy!
Prepare for politicians to chose our churches, temples, etc., for us, to give us "freedom from sin"!
PLEASE give me freedom from your freedom froms!

Clearly you don't live in New Jersey anymore. You cannot even buy an eighty percent kit to build your own gun here. And state law forbids gun manufacturing without approval from the government.
NJ must be a peaceful, non-violent utopia.
The Garden of Eden State.
Full of snakes.
Having the code for a 3-D printed gun is illegal in NJ, even though this is a blatant violation of the First Amendment.
The race tightened up. Enough? I kind of doubt it.
You doing early voting?
I finally saw a couple of Ciatarelli adverts in my neck of the woods this past week. That he waited for the 11th hour to try and juice turnout in the state's only reliably Republican Congressional district is awe inspiring.

BTW, I am STILL waiting for "the science" concerning sneeze guards at the salad bars, to be settled! Meanwhile, "R" party governors are FORBIDDING sneeze guards at the salad bars!!!
Who volunteers to eat what MAY be mucus from strangers, on their salads, in double-blind, MASSIVELY statistically significant studies, to settle this, for once and for all? Because I just KNOW, oh so VERY well, that once the "science" is settled, there will be NO tribalistic ideologues who will dispute these findings! We are ALL data-driven now!

What the fuck for? Kids have less adverse reactions than to a common cold, and since essentially every mammal species on the planet is a reservoir, vaccination will never eliminate it like with polio or smallpox.
“Vaccinating children against Covid”... NOT to be decided by their parents!!! To be decided by MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer, Queen of ALL of the Most Righteous Echo Chambers, who loves their children FAR more than they will EVER know how to love them!!!
No real answer so you decided to pretend we're talking about parental permission instead. Even though you're the one that wants to make it mandatory.
You're so dishonest.

The Canadian turd is best on mute. Like his girlfriends, he doesn't even pretend to be honest. And there's no point in a conversation with someone who will call you a liar when you call out their lies.
Poor sarcasmic. Getting muted by Ken and soldiermedic was kryptonite for an attention whore like him, so he imagines it's just as painful for the rest of us.
Sorry sarcasmic, but your threats have no hold on me. Besides, we all know that you're a peeker.

"...vaccination will never eliminate it like with polio or smallpox."
Feeding your kids doesn't prevent your kids from dying, either. They WILL die eventually anyway! So then MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer, Queen of ALL of the Most Righteous Echo Chambers, feels totally justified in making fun of parents who choose to feed their kids! QED!
What a retarded analogy attempt. Kids aren't really affected by Covid, but they do starve to death.
You're utterly incapable of rational thought huh. I'm starting to think you're a failed chatbot from the 90's.
"Kids aren’t really affected by Covid..."
So then MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer, Queen of ALL of the Most Righteous Echo Chambers, feels free to make fun of parental choices! Because MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer, Queen of ALL of the Most Righteous Echo Chambers, knows all and sees all! If parents WANT TO BRING UP RESPONSIBLE, SCIENCE-BELIEVING CHILDREN, who not only believe in they, themselves, the children, being not-killed by diseases... But want responsible children who do NOT want to be disease-carriers to infect their elders, teachers, and immune-compromised sufferers... Well THESE parents deserve to be MOCKED!
Hey MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer! Children who spread disease, and get their elders or other friends or family sickened and-or dead... They Are AFFECTED, if they CARE about others around them! Is this a foreign concept to you, perhaps? SOME of us are social beings, if not always socialist beings!
Here's a new one. Sqrlsy's trying to say that if you oppose mandates and government forcibly vaccinating kids, you're a socialist.
"We shall soon be in a world in which a man may be howled down for saying that two and two make four, in which people will persecute the heresy of calling a triangle a three-sided figure, and hang a man for maddening a mob with the news that grass is green." - G.K. Chesterton

Florida School Run by Idiots Says Vaccinated Students Must Stay Home for 30 Days After Each Shot
See? We are ALL data-driven by now! My data says the OTHER (evil) tribe believes in vaccines, so MY tribe must BAN and SHUN the BAD tribe (and their cooties) as much as possible!
MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer has squirted out TONS of verbose bullshit, like an octopus squirting ink evasively, hiding behind black ink, and TOTALLY evaded my point! MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer! Do you acknowledge my simple, basic point, which is that we are seeing ugly tribalism in action here? That we are talking data-driven NOTHING here?! ALL tribalism, ALL of the time; data-driven NOTHING!
I just looked at the school's statement. As expected the article lies about the schools reasons and a bunch of other stuff, but that's immaterial.
The fact of the matter is it's a private school Sqrlsy.
You've spent the last year shrieking that it's a sacred right for private entities can ban whoever they want, even if there's obvious federal government pressure and collusion. And now you're suddenly claiming it isn't?
I wouldn't be making a big deal about this point if you're dishonest ass hadn't been trolling and harassing everyone who spoke out against the Democrats collusion with social media.
This is proof positive that you're a hypocrite of the first order. You talk about tribalism but that's exactly what you're doing here.
What a repellent moral monster you are.
Private schools should be allowed to be evil if they want to be evil, and I never said anything different. My point is simple: This is about tribalism, it is NOT about being data-driven!
For no other reason other than sheer tribalism... Vaccine-believing tribe UNCLEAN! Vaccines-have-cooties-and-microchips believing tribe GOOD... This school bans the cooties-befestered children for 30 days!!! Did I say they should be put out of business? No! I just called them what they are, is all! Evil tribalists!
"As expected the article lies about the schools reasons..." You do that a LOT, you know that, Evil One Junior? Accuse others of lies, without evidence or specifics, and assume that THAT is sufficient to convince the Sacred Echo Chamber!
The vaccinated are now unclean, and the unvaccinated are FAR cleaner... Thus Spake MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer! Black is white, and good is evil!
"I never said anything different.
But earlier...
"Florida School Run by Idiots Says Vaccinated Students Must Stay Home for 30 Days After Each Shot
See? We are ALL data-driven by now! My data says the OTHER (evil) tribe believes in vaccines, so MY tribe must BAN and SHUN the BAD tribe (and their cooties) as much as possible!"
What a liar.
Sarcastic aping of what the evil tribe believes, is totally incomprehensible to those who do not WANT to understand! Are ye PROUD of your thick-headedness, Mamma?
Here in Georgia Trump voters are dying at twice the rate of them city slickers:
COVID death rate in rural Georgia now double that in urban areas
https://www.ajc.com/news/atlanta-news/covid-death-rate-in-rural-georgia-now-double-that-in-urban-areas/PFXLBNJBTZAMVMC3UR2S376CLA/
I know where I live in Dogdick Ga the ICU is stuffed with unvaccinated deplorables.
Always read Buttplug links, because he never does. If he makes it past the headline it's a miracle.
Buttplug is implying that the non-urban areas of Georgia aren't getting vaccinated because they're evil serfs and base canaille, who won't listen to their betters. But the article talks about unavailability outside the urban centers and reluctance to open a whole vial for single doses.
"Dr. Karen Kinsell still believes there are wins to be had in getting people vaccinated. But it is no easy task.
It starts, she said, with acknowledging barriers to vaccination that are particular to rural areas.Because of the storage requirements for the Pfizer vaccines, it’s not available in Kinsell’s area, and that’s the only shot authorized for children ages 12 to 17. Vaccines don’t come in single-dose vials, which means if a lone person in a low-demand area wants a shot, doctors must decide whether to use a bottle and let other doses go to waste if no one else shows up.
Few residents have a vaccination site around the corner. And almost no one can get the shot on a whim, she said. Appointments are hurdles. Distance matters, she said. From Clay County, the closest pharmacy, CVS, is 20 miles away, she said.
“Do people travel 20 Miles? Yeah,” Kinsell said. “and if someone’s really motivated, they’re going to make it. If they’re not motivated, that’s pretty much a deal killer.”
Early in the year when demand was high, the county health department held several vaccination events, public health workers said. Starting in May as demand fell, it’s been up to people to make appointments. The Clay County health building is currently closed because of structural problems, so those people are advised to travel to another county, perhaps Randolph."
2nd paragraph, and MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer, Queen of ALL of the Most Righteous Echo Chambers, totally ignores it! It doesn't meet Her Majestic Agenda!
"All around the clinicians, a steady stream of people flowed by. But few expressed interest in what they were hawking: COVID-19 shots, free for the taking."
At a fair in the city where the vaccination rates were already far higher. You somehow forgot to mention that bit.
Remember, Buttplug's invective was aimed at the Son's of the Soil, not the Eloi.
And the sons of the soil never go to fairs in the city? Their horses and buggies won't take them that far? They can fly to revolts in Washington, DC, but they can't make it to the local fair?
Because everyone at the January sixth protest were rural farmers, huh.
For being trailer trash yourself, you sure like to act like a parvenu.
Wait... Vaccines have microchips in them! So do modern forms of transportation, EXCEPT when you're travelling to Righteous Revolts!
https://www.stardem.com/news/national/survey-20-of-americans-32-of-republicans-worry-covid-vaccines-are-part-of-government-microchip/article_a8f34620-d6c1-5eba-8000-1215d552c235.html
Survey: 20% of Americans, 32% of Republicans worry COVID vaccines are part of government microchip plot
Lol, an article in the Star Democrat?
You weren't being entirely honest with your quote either, were you Sqrlsy. Let's look at what it really says:
"According to the survey, 27% of white men without college degrees, 23% of Hispanics, 20% of Blacks and 23% of white women without college degrees believe vaccine microchips are definitely or probably true. The YouGov survey found 32% of Republicans believe the COVID vaccines could contain microchips. That compares to 14% of Democrats and 23% of independents."
Wow, even 14% of your own party Sqrlsy... And look at the number of Blacks and Hispanics.
Idiots are idiots, whatever their tribal affiliations are, of ANY tribe! And the numbers show considerably higher for the "R" tribe than for the rest of us! We can take away a few clues from that... Even Der TrumpfenFuhrer has recommended vaccines! Whoa, how stupid can the "R"-affiliated nut cases get, anyway? When Der TrumpfenFuhrer is, in some cases, more data-driven than they are?
I just don't know any moah!
turd and the spastic asshole!
I just see a lot of people who judge thoughts and ideas based not upon the thoughts or ideas, but by some attribute of the person who said them. Usually politics.
Idiots are idiots, whatever their tribal affiliations are
But you were just making the exact opposite point about stupid "Republicans" two posts up, and you falsely edited a quote to do it. And now you spin a 180 and pretend you weren't being tribal after all?
What a lunatic you are.
MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer, the data in THIS case shows "R" party being more full of ideologically driven idiocy that others. It is a simple point. What do YOU have (besides more idiocy) to bring here, to dispute this point? Did I ever say that tribalistic idiocy is exactly evenly distributed, among all tribes, on all matters? Is this what YOU believe? NAZIs are (were) no more likely than any other tribe, to be mass-murdering, racist, asshole idiots? Has Rob Misek finally persuaded You? Is THAT why You're projecting here?
See, hypocrisy is the ether he swims in.
He's simultaneously saying other people are bad for being tribal, and being tribal.
It's got to be a head injury that allows him to do it without feeling crushing shame.
MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer, NAZIs, Proud Boys, Antifa, Idi Amin, Pol Pot, Mao Tse Tung, Il Duce (Mussolini), Kim Ill Dung-Breath, Stalin, all tribalists! Jesus, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., Candy Stripers and Shriners at the local hospital... All tribalists also! They are ALL the same! All sides, all of the time! Right, MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer?
Yeah, spazzing out and calling names like that means that you can't respond and you lost the argument.
What a sore loser.
MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer, the data in THIS case shows “R” party being more full of ideologically driven idiocy that others. It is a simple point.
MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer can't refute it! Argument won for the data-driven side!
"THIS case shows “R” party being more full of ideologically driven idiocy that others"
See. Simultaneously being tribal and claiming not to be tribal. What an amazing hypocrite.
Sarcasmic is really failing even with his sqrsly sock. This is embarrassing for him.
You just said you weren't tribal, but look at you go know.
Crazypants the lefty just can't hold a narrative.
SOME of us belong to a "tribe" that believes in being data-driven... Or a "tribe" that believes blind "my tribe good, your tribe bad" bullshit, is an ancient, unthinking EVIL that will kill us all (in the days of nuclear weapons), if we don't watch our steps! Can YOU wrap Your ideological-idiot, puny tribalistic mind around that, little girl?
When you put on your BIG Girl panties some sunny day... If it ever happens... Read some hard-won wisdom!
http://www.churchofsqrls.com/Do_Gooders_Bad/
http://www.churchofsqrls.com/Jesus_Validated/
That's exactly what you were just doing with your attack on Republicans, Sqrlsy.
You're such a fucking hypocrite.
MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer, WHEN is the last time that Hillarypanzees ran amok, demanding that democracy be replaced by mobocracy? "Both sides", right? Just like the NAZIs were every bit as much victims as the Jews?
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/third-d-c-officer-who-responded-capitol-riot-dies-suicide-n1275740 Four traumatized cops dead by suicide after Trumpanzees ran amok; 100 cops injured.
I am reluctant to totally blame suicides on those who victimized them… Suicides are also SELF-victimization! But nuance requires us to examine ALL circumstances!
Most of all, WHERE are the “lawn odor” Rethuglicans on this one?!?! BLM rioters?!?! “When the looting starts, the shooting starts!”, says Der TrumpfenFuhrer! When the anti-democracy hissy fits start, the Trumptatorshit (and MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer) is right there, cheering them on!
Cops deal with crazy shit constantly. Pedophilia, murders, child abuse, drug-addled madmen. All thousands of times worse than January 6. Nobody's going to kill themselves for working a protest. Particularly one less violent than all the others last year.
For you to use those people's obviously unrelated suicides as a tool to forward your political narrative is beyond evil. It's utterly demonic.
You're an evil person, Sqrlsy, in every sense.
The vaccinated are now unclean, and the unvaccinated are FAR cleaner… Thus Spake MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer! (That's only a slight exaggeration... She does defend a VERY clear case of irrational tribalistic "the vaccinated kids have unclean cooties" bullshit). But black is white, and good is evil! MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer said so!
So MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer calls me evil... It confirms, then, that I am on the right path here!
I didn't say or infer that at all, you ridiculous liar.
I called you fucking evil for using people's unrelated death's for political fodder.
What a psychotic clown you are. How do people even stand you?
Hey MarxistMammaryBahnFuhrer! WHO was it who helped drive 4 Washington DC cops to suicide? Was it pro-democracy, pro-libertarian, pro-rationalism folks like me? Or was it anti-democratic, pro-authoritarian, anti-property rights (read: web site would-be nationalizers) fascists like YOU? Now WHO is on the side of good, and WHO is on the side of evil? You think promoting suicide is GOOD?
"Totally unrelated", my ass! When the NAZIs made Erwin Rommel commit suicide (by threatening to hang him with piano wire, and torturing and killing his family if he didn't), was Erwin Rommel TOTALLY to be blamed for his own suicide? You have ZERO tolerance for nuance or complexity, when YOU think that Your Stupid makes YOU look good! Guess what? It just makes you look like the stupid, brain-warped, tribalistic ideologue that You are!
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/third-d-c-officer-who-responded-capitol-riot-dies-suicide-n1275740 Four traumatized cops dead by suicide after Trumpanzees ran amok; 100 cops injured.
I suppose that the 100 injuries were also totally unrelated? Simply coincidental accidental self-injuries by clumsy cops? How deep does Your Sacred Self-Deception go, Mamma?
The YouGov survey found 32% of Republicans believe the COVID vaccines could contain microchips. That compares to 14% of Democrats and 23% of independents.”
When a survey asks whether or not you believe the government is implanting microchips in people, the answer should always be yes. Trolls deserve to be trolled.
It doesn't surprise me that many Democrats are too stupid to understand why 14% of their own cohort would answer that question positively.
So lying is generally now a virtue! Getting people to believe that there are more stupid people than there really are, is a VIRTUOUS lie!
(Lying to hide Jews from NAZIs, I can understand. The above kind of lying just feeds fuel to the fires of those who want ever more and more control of education and social media, to go to Government Almighty, to "fix" an imagined problem, if this lying is really that significant, which I generally doubt).
“No one here wants to be told what to do by the government,” Patterson said. “Even though I believe with all my heart the vaccine is safe and effective, I know when you have something pushed by the government, that makes people more hesitant, and they are more likely to push back.”
1. Weren't you pretending to be a libertarian yesterday? Isn't this a positive attitude from that perspective? Or have you been lying to us?
2. Also, do you feel her implying additional motive overrides the physical restrictions she stated?
3. Looking at the figures available from the Georgia Department of Public Health it seems pretty clear that the headline was phony, and the actual COVID death rate in rural Georgia is definitely not double that in urban areas. It's higher, but only by one-forth.
The statistics in the article come from a chart maker called Pete Corson, and he doesn't provide any citations as to where he got them.
Not to mention the virus has already done the bulk of its work in the cities early on. NYC had a moderate winter 2020 wave because they infected all the at-risk in spring 2020. That doesn't mean the 'strategy' was a success.
https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/daily-hospitalization-summary
DOCTOR Karen??? Thanks, I’ll stick with my current Primary Care physician…
turd lies. It's what turd does. turd is a pathological liar, entirely too stupid to know he's lying and certain not aware that everyone else knows.
If something turd posts is not a lie, it is purely accidental, and as ML points out turd is further too fucking dumb to read his links which often prove the be the opposite of what this pathetic piece of shit assumes.
turd lies; it's all turd does.
Turns out killing someone with poison lowers thier odds of dieing from something else. Magic.
Numerically this is what you would expect, if vaccine injuries are a leading cause of death. Given the definition of vaccinated excluding everyone the vaccine killed in the first 6-8 weeks from the first dose.
“everyone the vaccine killed in the first 6-8 weeks from the first dose”
Have a cite to share on this?
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html?s_cid=11357:%2Bfully%20%2Bvaccinated:sem.b:p:RG:GM:gen:PTN:FY21
Rather than strengthening the case for vaccinations, that statistic calls into question a lot of vaccination data that has been reported.
Sounds easier than building your own social media company...
Not if we make them build the drill, the bits, mine the ore, etc.
So doing the final 20% - the easy part - is DIY? Make your own barrel, and then get back to me.
If you truly want to build a gun from scratch, one must first create the universe.
I Pencil...
The Universe is what always was, always is, and always will be. As per the Laws of Thermodynamics, it can be neither created nor destroyed. So at least I always have the raw materials on hand, so I got that going for me, which is nice!. 🙂
After that, your own primers and powder.
A smoothbore barrel is child's play.
Yep, go to a hardware store and buy steel pipe in the desired length and bore.
Built an AR this Spring with some friends. Gas block keeps loosening up. Fell off yesterday while shooting. Reset it with some blue threadlocker when I got home. Hopefully it stays on now.
Epoxy putty for kludge-fixes... Sad to say, prices have gone way UP!
https://www.poolweb.com/products/a-b-epoxy-putty-kit-14-oz-white for example... It is brittle after it cures. For my jury-rigs, I often lay down a mess or wad of bailing wire first, then work this putty into it. Kinda like steel rebar and concrete, on a much smaller scale, of course. Very durable, chemical-corrosion proof. NOT recommended for high temperatures, though!
"with some friends"
Lol
Number 1 hit Let's Go Brandon banned from YouTube and Instagram.
https://www.dailywire.com/news/youtube-instagram-ban-rappers-anti-biden-lets-go-brandon-song-still-hits-1-on-itunes
Looks like woke media outlets are brandon anti-Biden messages as unacceptable.
Their ability to censor trumps free speech rights.
You gotta admit, woke media are never asleep at the wheel!
Twitter cancelled US Congressman for truthfully calling a man a man, which Twitter deemed to be "hateful conduct".
https://thefederalist.com/2021/10/23/twitter-locks-republican-congressmans-account-claims-calling-a-man-a-man-is-hateful-violence/
Twitter is gatekeeping.
What a piece of work is man!
The quote is actually, "What a piece of work is a man!" Shakespeare only ever acknowledged two genders, so I am sure he would be unTwattered as well.
"Shakespeare only ever acknowledged two genders"
Four if you count the two cross dressing twins,
C’mon man!
He looka like-a man…
Can I still watch the Fuck Joe Biden mix?
I didn't know that rooting for a race car driver was somehow medical information/misinformation.
Well, according to Reason, you have to build your own internet to exercise free speech, like like a rifle and the 2nd Amendment.
Not anymore! Just go to Truth Social — problem solved!
But the day that Truth Social ban White Mike for trolling conservatives and posting gore and underage porn, is the day he'll cry censorship.
Youtube doesn't allow claims about COVID-19 vaccinations that contradict expert consensus from local health authorities or the World Health Organization
Because science is all about consensus.
Youtube and the major media are protecting Fauci just like Soviet media protected Lysenko.
Clearly just a business decision! Made at the same time by two totally different companies!
"Banned from YouTube and Instagram"
Because somehow this is good for their companies and totally not on the orders of the federal administration.
They're not hiding the fascism any more, but the fake free-marketers and phony libertarians here, are still pretending that they are.
This one?

For those who want to hear what they're trying to memoryhole. There also seems to be at least one mirror put up on youtube a day or two ago.
First time I actually listened to it.
That one line made me laugh; "You ask questions they start bannen'".
The Gun Control crusaders have been on the defensive since the early 1980’s; look at the march of ‘must issue’ and ‘constitutional carry’ laws across the country. Oh, the Progressive establishment can win an occasional victory on this subject, but considering the amount of power they hold, and the bias of most news media, it’s a mark of how badly they must struggle that they lose any at all.
For me that answer isn’t “We’ll build our own.”; I don’t own a gun because I’m a klutz. My answer is, “What scares you more? A neighbor with a gun, 0r a government that doesn’t obey its own laws?”
What scares you more? A government sometimes afraid of its people, or people sometimes afraid of their government?
"When the people fear the government, there is tyranny; but when the government fears the people, there is liberty." - Thomas Jefferson
My advice: if you plan to use a gun to fire at people, especially people who are armed with their own guns, stick with one made by a reputable manufacturer. If it's just for fondling and talking to, a home made gun will do fine.
So when you want to discharge one, you’ll use someone else’s? But when at home, fondling your own is your preference?
At least he isn’t going after the young guns.
A stroke of luck for those not wanting their barrel polished.
Joe prefers small holsters.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XqF4wA-dco
Happiness is a warm gun.
Bang, bang, shoot, shoot....
Isn’t that reaching?
You must not know much about building a gun from an 80% lower. They're just as reliable as something that costs three times as much with a fancy name on the side.
Also, as the article states, you learn a lot about how the thing works - and how to maintain it - by assembling it yourself. The only thing I had a problem with was the pivot pin detents. But you only have to do that once. Unless you're all thumbs it's an easy and fun project. And you save enough money to buy a new Glock.
"you learn a lot about how the thing works"
You could say the same thing about washing machines. But my advice would essentially be the same for you youngsters. If you plan on going into the laundromat business, stick with a reputable manufacturer like Daewoo or Samsung.
I fail to see an analogy between building an AR from an 80% lower and starting a laundromat business.
You've misunderstood. The point is not to use gerry built equipment when your life (or livelihood) is at stake.
There's nothing gerry built about a AR from an 80% lower. As it says in the article, you mill out the cavity for the hammer and trigger, drill out three holes, and now it's a 100% lower. From that point on it's no different than assembling a lower from a kit of parts and springs.
If you've got the coin to buy a nice machine from a manufacturer and have it maintained by a gunsmith, then that's great.
If you're somewhat handy you can do it yourself and have something just as reliable for half the money.
It's not that complicated of a machine.
If cost is a concern then buy a few decent knives and take up knife throwing. Remember, with a gun you can't kill quietly. My MI6 acquaintance insists that a knife to the kidney is THE way to instantly incapacitate that suspected Soviet infiltrator who's in the guise of a refugee.
Knife throwing? Buy a crossbow or put an illegal can on the barrel.
KISS. Keep it simple, stupid. Especially when your life is at stake. Knife throwing is cheaper, quieter and even a contemplative form of spiritual practice.
KISS describes the process of turning an 80% lower into a 100% lower.
Taking a gun apart and putting it back together is what many call a "contemplative form of spiritual practice."
"There’s nothing gerry built about a AR from an 80% lower."
Not if your name is gerry. The point is never to underestimate our capacity to fuck up. There are probably a thousand ways or more to make the rifle improperly. Eventually people will follow them all and find new ways in the process. Human error is at the root of a good deal of the accidental and unforeseen misfortune. Car accidents, nuclear accidents, even the human workers at reputable gun manufactures are not infallible.
Would you call yourself a pessimist?
I never underestimate the cleverness of my fellow man, and how people who are smarter than me can create some really cool things that even a dummy like me can't fuck up.
famous last words.
As are "Damn I paid a fortune for this thing why doesn't it work!"
The only major difference between my ghost AR and one made by Colt is that I can't legally transfer ownership.
My advice: if you plan to use a gun to fire at people, especially people who are armed with their own guns, unless you're build quality is so terrible as to reasonably question whether you've built a gun at all, cover, numbers, ammo, and the element of surprise are *far* more important than build quality. See Iraq, Afghanistan, the Colonies, etc.
Three hi-points, 30 rounds, and 3/4" steel plate over a custom TTI Glock and a single 30 round magazine every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
My MI6 acquaintance insists there's nothing more surprising than a knife in the kidney.
And that advice is based on what? Your inability to use tools?
Generally, I find that stuff I make myself is more reliable and dependable than stuff I buy.
Good for you!
This looks like a fun DIY project. I'm tempted to give all my crafty-lefty friends an 80% kit for Christmas.
ChristmasWinter HolidayThanks for correcting me. I forget something.
"Holiday" is derived from "Holy day", a racist, patriarchal concept. You may say "Winter Vacation", "Cold Season Break" or "Solstice Respite"... bigot.
What if you don't get it off work? The day might still be special to you, but it sure as fuck isn't a vacation or respite.
Only white bigots would hold those days as special... except for maybe Kwanzaa, which is totes different.
What about Festivus?
That's for the restivus.
How about we abolish work, and thus the need to distinguish it from holidays?
For millions of Democratic Party loyalists, they have done just that. Turns out goods and services are not created and provided by people laboring with machines and technology but magic wanded to them via top
menpeople politicians. Most people would have been content to keep the system going if the greedy apes at the top had consented to a relatively modest raise in wages. But nope, your politicians fought for keeping all the gains in the hands of 10 people. Not because of any economic principle, just greedy ape greed. So capitalists can go fuck themselves. Become better people. Try lecturing after that happens.
Feel lucky the peasants haven't started chopping heads off yet.
The current progressive welfare state is what is killing the country. Transferring wealth doesn’t produce anything other than more window makers.
The minimum wage should be $0.01/hour. Some folks aren’t worth more than that. Become a better value to a business.
Looks like woke Alec is starting the killings. Going after Hollywood elite. Who’s next?
Fine, as long as I don't have to pay any taxes for anything you need from government. Not armed forces, not police, not contracts, not your precious property lines.
If this community won't feed a starving child, then under what possible moral system could justify it collectivizing your stupid property owner bullshit needs?
We must spend $3.5 trillion now and trillions more annually on social pork or there will be no bridges!
Many kids starve to death in a collectivist system.
Don't worry, they're raising taxes to match the extra spending, so it's not costing the government anything.
They will borrow more, which just ends up screwing the lower and middle classes via inflation. Added to the appreciable inflation already occurring this year.
"they’re raising taxes to match the extra spending"
The stupidest thing I've read all day, which is something because Sqrlsy/Sarcasmic has been posting here.
I just said they're not borrowing more, they're raising taxes.
Capitalism has done more to lift people out of poverty than anything progressives have
Yes it has. But it isn't egalitarian. And inequality is more important than prosperity to progressives. For those who are driven by envy, it would be better for everyone to be equally poor than to be unequally wealthy.
They would destroy the world as long as they got an equal piece of the wreckage. Or could pretend it was equal.
Progressivism + capitalism is the ticket. Surely capitalism is not the single perfect human endeavor. Surely it needs tempering and a watchful eye. After all, there's a lot of money floating around in it.
Bob Black tried that. Last I checked he was a NYC Welfare Queen.
You must really like your crafty-lefty friends, because that's not an inexpensive gift.
Or I'm just a baller. You don't know.
So you're tempted to give a bad gift to your friends.
Bad defined as a gift that not only doesn't account for your supposed keen knowledge of your friends' taste (the point of giving a gift), but that deliberately and ostentatiously accuses them of being bad for not sharing your taste.
So how do you have friends?
What makes it even worse is that if they do take on the project, once they're done if they don't want it they can't sell or give it away. No maker's mark or serial number.
They love building shit.
Build my own rifle? With what aim in site?
"Doesn't matter. We'll build our own."
"Doesn't matter. We'll get our arms and ammo from our dead enemies hands."
The problem with this is that it sorta defeats the point of guns in the first place.
As the saying goes, God created man, Colonel Colt made them equal. Because with the advent of the revolver, anyone could use it to defend themselves. No longer did size and strength or even skill matter
But in order for that right to be fully exercised, people need the freedom to buy firearms. It's great that some people can make them, but that shouldn't obscure the fact that people's right to buy them is constantly being attacked
When guns are outlawed, will you be an outlaw?
I'm already an outlaw. I was locked down for 14 days last year, plus 15 months. To flatten the curve.
Um, ok. You're a baaaad man. Or something.
So let everyone have a revolver apiece, and that's it. Every side wins. If anything, the pro-gun side wins the lion's share of that compromise.
If every country had nukes I doubt there'd be any war.
That's exactly why there's not a chance in Hell that Iran or North Korea will stop their nuclear weapons development. They've seen what we do to small countries with no nukes.
Let everyone decide for themselves. Win-win.
Oooh, we can’t have that sort of madnesses.
Sounds good until you require other people to do something for you, like not trespass or murder you.
You're children. Silly little children.
That is why I get to decide on what firearms I choose to own. Unlike the Capitol Police, the few trespassing incidents here were handled via deescalation. Nobody was murdered.
How do you deescalate an angry mob that's inside the US capitol and trying to murder Congress?
Such peaceniks all of a sudden. You must have been beside yourself over George Floyd.
Watch the video. They had been doing an ok job of that for just a few minutes prior to Babbitt’s murder. Shockingly, the three guards that were stationed in front of the threshold abandoned their post.
LEOs also carry nonlethal forms of force used to establish compliance. OC spray would have worked wonders there.
A man overdosing while nit complying with cops that overstepped their bounds.
Eric Garner was murdered under de Blasio’s watch. Fewer than Biden’s war crime drone strike murder of innocent civilians in Afghanistan. And fewer than Cuomo’s crimes against the elderly turning nursing homes into death camps.
But they were terrorist trying to overthrow the United States government. I'm all for deescalation, but these loons were going after my livelihood, so fuck 'em all. They should all be stain on marble. But they're largely going to prison for trespass, so consider yourself having got off lucky.
Not the poor brainwashed cunt who happened to burst through the window first, but, in fairness, and I can't emphasize this enough, she was trying to murder Congress.
Those are the CNN talking points. You win a participation trophy.
I think I was watching it happen on CBS. I don't know, I de-cabled sometime last year.
So if we're not talking about the mob of people who were trying to overthrow the election, something I watched with my own two eyes, are we perhaps talking about something else? You'd be the confused on in that scenario, because I don't even know about any peaceful picnic or whatever.
I am talking about what actually occurred. The fact that you missed the three other guards there indicates you either haven’t seen the video or are lying.
I decabled 17 years ago.
I watched pretty much the whole production. Have you been watching suspiciously edited versions on 8chan or whatever? Come on, you know you have.
Then you were lying. Thanks for admitting this. Wtf is 8chan?
"I watched pretty much the whole production."
No you didn't you fucking liar, or you wouldn't have missed the three guards deescalating and leaving their post in front of the threshold, which happened less than a minute before she was shot.
Lots of people die every day. I'm supposed to care about one treasonous terrorist? Why? The officer was investigated and cleared. I'm no cop lover, but I only have so much time in my day.
But they were terrorist trying to overthrow the United States government.
Oh come on! They were a bunch of yahoos. Terrorists would have come in with guns, overwhelmed the defenses, and killed a bunch of politicians.
And Chumby has got me on mute, presumably to impress Ken.
Lol, that just kills you, doesn't it.
Apparently it was coordinated with several members of Congress and the Trump administration.
That they were incompetent at achieving their goal should not be a surprise to anyone.
That they were incompetent at achieving their goal should not be a surprise to anyone.
Terrorists would have had guns. Lots of guns. And these guys being conservatives more than likely had guns. They didn't bring them. That makes them idiots, not terrorists.
Babbit leaped into the broken sidelite of a door opening onto a chamber adjacent to the House floor which contained Representatives and all those doors were backed up by cops with drawn pistols no doubt on order to stop intrusion. Of course she was shot.
Apparently your new standard for law enforcement is to shoot unarmed petite women who get within 50 ft of any representative.
Doesn't matter. You crawl through a barricade in a federal building guarded by armed men and you're gonna get shot. If anything she deserves a Darwin Award.
Whoa! Serious deja vu. I feel like I read this only a few months ago.
Oh, that's because I did.
It is their once a year flag to still claim libertarianism.
Nice site, i like this site tiger388
And way cheaper than adding length to your penis.
Let me know if you're ever near Maine. I'll take you shooting. It's a lot of fun.
And unlike the people on these comments who fantasize about murdering me on a hunting or fishing trip, I've got no plans to kill anyone.
It's certainly not my least favorite sport, but the problem is there aren't tens of thousands of deaths per year due to proliferation of souped-up badminton racquets.
Guns are useful for defense because they are uniquely deadly. They are less regulated than my toilet. I just want the disingenuous doublespeak to end and for gun nuts to defend their policy priority with a full accounting of its cost in lives.
As you said, it's just sport, so it can't be that important.
In recent news some British politician was stabbed to death in public.
Guns control doesn't stop murder. It just makes it messier.
You're better than this comment.
If knives are just as deadly as guns, fine, ban guns and let people defend themselves with knives.
I'm coming up with all sorts of perfectly reasonable compromises that would calm this political battle down a bunch of notches.
we really need to stop one of the largest causes of child murders...not not guns but single mom's boyfriends...check the stats how many children are beaten to death by their mom's "boyfriends" per year...now how to stop this? Let's dive into that subject..get a few gender studies profs and "experts"
Really? How much did you spend adding length to your penis?
I just looked at a picture of your mom.
Bacteria like him doesn't have a mom due to reproduction by fission.
Weird for a self-proclaimed homosexual.
Not so weird when you take a look at his mom.
Off topic but…. Montana and U.S. News & World Report’s take on the epic struggle bettfact and fantasy (these kind of stories pop up as “news alerts” daily on my phone)
Sorry, link:

A New York Times hit piece on Montana full of all the hate-filled, classist tropes so beloved by east coast Brahmins?
Is that what you intended to post?
Epstein and the NY T huh? that pretty much is indicative of what is going on here. Christian dumb "peasant" rubes is the whole point of this article. Showing the superiority of NYC types...funny how he doesn't focus on the left's views that should we say are fact deficient. America is a "racist" country, white privilege (if so why so many folks who are not from Europe are pouring in?), racial disparity in unarmed Americans being shot by cops (look at the stats) and I could go on..
The real bigots are folks like this guy...f him
right you can!
right you can!
“Nice info!”
Google paying 600 to 800 euros a day at home. I earned 22845 euros in my last month from Google for working 3 hours a day. It feels so good to earn so much money when other people need to work for a lot less. Now, everyone can join this job and start earning online like me, just follow this site .. bit.ly/3uKWrlb
Why is it that we don't hear more concern about the possibility of the ammunition supply being cut off? Sure, there's a fair number of men capable of making a firearm, but how many could come up with the chemicals to make propellants? Seems to me that taking away the bullets would be an easier way to disarm the public than taking the guns away.
We’re talking 18th century metal working and 18th century chemistry here. No, it’s not hard. Napoleon managed to get the necessary nitrates from piss.
Yeah, I remember that Star Trek episode too, but making nitrocellulose propellants is a little more involved than making black powder.
