Brickbat: Close Enough for Police Work

In Cape Town, South Africa, police officers Ricardo Snyman and Sibuyiselo Bentso have been charged with kidnapping, defeating the ends of justice, and fraud. The two reportedly grabbed a man off the street to replace a man arrested for theft who had escaped their custody after they took him to a hospital for treatment. "They did not inform anyone of what had happened. It was only the next day, when the suspect was processed, that the detective realized that the person does not fit the description of the person who was originally arrested," said police spokesman Capt. F.C. Van Wyk.

RSA is basically in a “Without Rule Of Law” situation (WROL) and Reason decided to cherry pick a bad cop story.
Yeah. The animals the running the asylum now in South Africa. Now is not the time to pick on a few cops that are willing to show up to the zoo and make an effort.
The animals the running the asylum, and they are driving the airplane of fools into the reefs of sadness, without the coaches even having the faintest HINTs of what the termites are doing to our once-outstanding records of academic success! Wait, it gets worse! The carpenters are serving us stale, lukewarm rock soap, and the poop wrenches are too mimsy and hormetic to perform proper interpolation!
The criminal cops have been charged with their crimes. That's rule of law, unlike the usual treatment of criminal cops in the USA: Given a paid vacation while the department investigates how to cover up the crimes, or fired but not criminally charged so they can hire on at a different police department (if not eventually reinstated under their union contract).
And if the DA was Kammy Harris, she would have prosecuted him anyway.
Show me the man...
Nobody died? Learn how to bad cop South Africa! What a shithole.
