Watch a Cop Intentionally Damage a Car While Executing a Search Warrant
A Messina, New York, police officer is under investigation after video showed him intentionally slamming a door into a car several times.

A New York police officer is under investigation after video emerged showing him intentionally damaging a person's car while executing a search warrant.
The local news outlet North Country Now reports that the police department in Massena, New York, has launched an internal investigation following the release of a 20-second video. The video shows the officer, identified by North Country Now as Brandon Huckle, entering a garage. The door hits a silver car as Huckle enters. Huckle then intentionally grabs the door and swings it twice more into the side of the car.
There have been countless accusations over the years of police maliciously ransacking houses during the executions of search warrants, but it's not often captured on video.
"Clients tell me all the time that property is destroyed or stolen during search warrants," Brian Barrett, the car owner's attorney, told North Country Now. "This is a rare occasion where we have a video of a police officer destroying a client's property. I'm more inclined to believe my clients now that I've seen this with my own eyes. I've got to take a very close look at those cases and the returns on the warrant and things like that."
Barrett also said that his client believes the officers in the raid didn't report all of the cash they seized. The reported amount, he said, is about $2,000 short.
Reason recently reported on a federal civil rights lawsuit filed by a Virginia lawyer who says cops used an armored vehicle to tear apart her unlocked door and then went room to room trashing her house, all to retaliate for winning a case several days earlier.
Last year, a Chicago woman filed a lawsuit after 15 plainclothes officers allegedly broke through the front door of her apartment and trained their guns on her 70-year-old mother and 4-year-old daughter. The suit claims the officers then herded the trio onto a couch, still at gunpoint, and ransacked her apartment. "They cut couch pillows open, dumped clothes, damaged dressers and tables," the lawsuit says. "They threw Jasmine's nail products all over the floor and destroyed her technician's table, costing her thousands of dollars. They even destroyed Khamme's Christmas decorations and ripp[ed] or [cut] open Leyalina's prized stuffed animals, 'bunny Sarah' and 'monkey.'"
Barrett told North Country Now he is considering filing a complaint on his client's behalf with the county sheriff or the New York State Police.

being the best description of cops that I've seen, yes I am. That her near perfect words are a better description, yet, of cops on our side of the Pond than on hers is a bonus.
My being bored by Dagliesch, etc. on either page or screen takes nothing from the perfect fit of this description of cops.
This is my surprised face...
If you keep making that face, your face will get stuck like that. Then what will you do?
Be really good in bed, because I can say "Nobody's ever done that to me before" and be believed.
No court case on intentional car door slamming, so, qualified immunity.
We teach 2 year-olds not to break other people's shit, but cops can't be expected to know it without a court case on point.
Oh they know it's wrong. That's why they do it. Same reason why they shoot dogs. They know that it hurts, and they know they will get away with it.
Apparently neither of these people had dogs; otherwise Fido would be feet up.
Given the current environment, where being a LEO is not the most attractive or respected position in any given community, we are probably going to see a lot more of the same. Bad cops [I can't imagine anyone who has options would want to remain in such a vilified position, except to make it to retirement], angry cops, and ineffective bureaucrats and politicians mismanaging them. I don't foresee it getting any better.
Power is a means, not an end. If you're a police officer you can do whatever you want. Who's going to stop you? If anyone tries you've got a radio, and the people who respond will always back you up. No matter how wrong you are. So who cares if it's a vilified position? If someone tells you what they think you can just punch them in the mouth and arrest them for assaulting your fist with their face. And nothing else happens.
An optimist (me) can argue that just the opposite is true. Surveys show there is still a substantial reservoir of respect and gratitude for police amongst all demographics of society, even criminals themselves. What's eroding is the tolerance for psycho cops like this guy. The real force for successful reform (or its failure) will be other cops. If they become intolerant of the psycho cops and make this known, ideally by formal complaint but even just through informal cues, the culture of impunity which currently reigns supreme throughout copdom will quickly crumble. The real behavioral norms are those which are adopted and enforced by your peers. If the current dynamic can be shifted then things will improve. If it can't then I doubt any significant change will happen, no matter how many rules are promulgated and enforced.
As we all know, all search Warrents are executed on already guilty people due to the stringent requirements from the judges. So we know that the people really did deserve it because they are guilty of whatever anyway.
in his defense he might not know how a door works.
We all learn by trial and error.
Looks like his partner watched him do it. Frank Serpico was probably the last good cop.
Wiki-
RICO, The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act is a United States federal law that provides for extended criminal penalties and a civil cause of action for acts performed as part of an ongoing criminal organization...
Yep. Looks like at the end he's talking to somebody just off-camera, and it's EXTREMELY likely that he only slammed the car again because he had an audience.
I was thinking it might have been the car owner who’d said something like “hey, be careful with the car,” and the cop did a “what car?” sort of move by hitting the car with the door a few more times. Or “hey, man, why would you park your car where something BAD could happen to it?”
But, yeah, could have been partner, too. Really does appear to ramming the door into the car because he’s being watched, though.
Dick move, but expect this treatment when dems are in charge.
That was so profound. I'm like, in awe and stuff. I mean, when dem dems is in charge the police act like totally different than when dem repubs won the election.
I'm struggling to stand, my knees are weak from your wisdom.
Because cops never did bad things when any Republican was in charge of anything.
Cops are under local government control. Where do most of the police killings and abuse reports come from? That’s right: Democrat-controlled cities.
Yeah, dude, keep on fighting that bogus red-blue war - it's the literal lifeblood of our corrupt political system. They're counting on troglodytes like you.

I expected a lot worse than what that video depicted.
Read following report to learn how a single mom was able to make $89,844/year in her spare time on her computer without selling anything... http://cash44.club
To me it looks like he was confirming and demonstrating to this partner, that the car was parked too close to the door and causing a serious safety hazard since it was impossible to open it wide enough for people to escape during an earthquake.
You know, you're probably right - it couldn't be because he's just another asshole cop; a bully with a badge gun, and a bad attitude...because that's only about 90% of them, so you're explanation is more plausible.
(I'm being as sarcastic as you are.)
“The great masses of men, though theoretically free, are seen to submit supinely to oppression and exploitation of a hundred abhorrent sorts. Have they no means of resistance? Obviously they have. The worst tyrant, even under democratic plutocracy, has but one throat to slit. The moment the majority decided to overthrow him he would be overthrown. But the majority lacks the resolution; it cannot imagine taking the risks.” ~ H. L. Mencken (1926). “Notes on Democracy,” p. 50, Alfred A. Knopf
