Trump Is Losing Old People to Biden in Battleground States
Plus: Libertarian Jo Jorgensen draws biggest support from millennials and Gen Z, John McAfee being charged with tax evasion, Trump released from hospital, and more...

A new poll shows President Donald Trump trailing Democratic nominee Joe Biden by 30 points among older voters in Michigan. If the trend holds in other battleground states—and recent numbers suggest it might—then the Trump 2020 reelection campaign is in deep trouble. Americans aged 65 and older reliably show up to vote in larger numbers than their younger counterparts and tend to vote more conservatively.
"A Democratic candidate has not won voters over the age of 65 in two decades, and in 2016 Trump beat Clinton in that group by 8 points," points out Forbes. "In 2012, Mitt Romney won seniors by 12 points over Obama (56%-44%), and John McCain edged out Obama by 8 points in 2008 (53%-45%), according to exit polls."
Back in early September, Michigan residents 65 and up only marginally preferred Biden, with the former vice president and 2020 Democratic candidate beating Trump by 7.5 percent among this group (with a 4-point margin of error).
But a new WDIV/Detroit News poll conducted between September 30 and October 3 found that Trump has lost 22 points with older voters since then. In the latest poll, 59.1 percent of older Michigan voters supported Biden, while just 29.2 percent supported Trump.
"This is a five-alarm fire for the president's campaign, if true," tweeted NBC News' Sahil Kapur.
Older Michigan voters—who overwhelmingly say they plan to vote by mail this year—preferred Biden regardless of gender, with Biden making especially big gains among older white men. "White men over 65 have shifted by 22.1% since early September with Biden now holding an 8.8% lead," notes Detroit's WDIV Local 4 News. "White women over 65 have shifted by 17.6% with Biden now holding a 15.4% lead."
Trump still leads among white Michigan voters ages 50 to 64 but appears to be losing ground with that group, too. In the WDIV/Detroit News poll conducted between September 1–3, more than half (51.8 percent) preferred Trump while just 42.2 percent preferred Biden. But in the latest Michigan polling, Biden and Trump were tied at 46 percent among those ages 50-64.
And older voters' turn away from Trump isn't merely a Michigan phenomenon. Recent polling in other toss-up states, including Florida and Pennsylvania, found similar shifts.
Older Voters in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Arizona Like Biden
An AARP poll of Floridians found that voters ages 50 and above "are not a lock for either major-party presidential candidate," with 50 percent going toward Trump to Biden's 47 percent in a poll (with a 2.2-point margin of error) that was conducted August 30–September 8. Among voters ages 65 and older, however, Trump trailed Biden by just one percentage point.
In the latest New York Times-Siena College Research Institute poll of Pennsylvanians, 53 percent of the oldest voters preferred Biden and 42 percent preferred Trump.
In the group's poll of Floridians, voters 65 and older were fairly evenly split between the Republican and Democratic candidates, with 47 percent supporting Biden and 45 percent supporting Trump. (Both the Florida and Pennsylvania polls had roughly 4-point margins of error.)
The latest poll of Arizona voters from The New York Times and Siena College Research Institute, conducted October 1–3, found Biden and Trump are extremely close among older voters there, too: 48 percent of those ages 65 and older said they would vote for Biden and 47 percent said they would vote for Trump.
Jorgensen Garners Interest From Millennials and Generation Z
In Arizona, 3 percent of all likely voters surveyed said they support Jo Jorgensen. The Libertarian Party (L.P.) presidential candidate drew the most support in Arizona from young voters, with 8 percent support among the 18- to 29-year-old crowd polled and only 1 percent support from voters 65 and older.
Jorgensen was also the top candidate for 3 percent of survey respondents in the Pennsylvania poll, and top choice for 2 percent in Florida. As in Arizona, Jorgensen attracted support from millennial and Gen Z voters in both states.
While just 1 percent of the oldest cohort in Florida supported Jorgensen, 6 percent of the 30- to 44-year-olds and 4 percent of the 18- to 29-year-olds polled did. (Green Party candidate Howie Hawkins was supported by 2 percent of each younger group in the Sunshine State.) In Pennsylvania, 6 percent each of the youngest and second-youngest groups supported Jorgensen, with her support dwindling to 3 percent among 45- to 64-year-olds and zero percent among the oldest group.
So, older voters aren't fleeing Trump for the L.P. this year; slack seems to be picked up solely by Biden and Democrats.
If older voters prefer Biden in November, it will be a big deal. Remember, voters 65 and above "have gone for Republican presidential candidates since 2004" and "favored Trump over Hillary Clinton by a 52 to 45 percent margin," as Robert Griffin, research director of the Democracy Fund Voter Study Group, points out.
He also notes that older voters are more likely to describe Biden than Trump as moderate—which could help explain Biden's good showing among older Americans. They're not swinging leftward, it could just be that Trump is a chaos agent and Biden is as status quo as they come.

A new poll shows President Donald Trump trailing Democratic nominee Joe Biden by 30 points among older voters in Michigan.
But those people actually vote!
This is really not as surprising as we might think. Older voters grew up knowing dignified politicians and leaders. They might like Trump's antics on a TV show but not in the White House. Like everyone else they realize the President is incompetent and unqualified. The fact that he can't even keep Covid19 out of his WH speaks to his incompetency. The circle of "any body but Trump" get larger each day.
And they all magically changed their minds in the last 30 days after supporting Trump for 4 years without anything significant happening? Maybe their governor issued an executive order that everyone had to vote for Biden?
Fuck you.
"Older voters grew up knowing dignified politicians and leaders."
During the last four years, and last week in the debate, they have observed boorish, classless behavior on a daily basis.
Since you know you and your liberal friends behave that way, just stop.
Sure, this is about me.
You brought yourself up.
She tries to make almost every discussion about her.
I really don’t. You guys do, every time. Often on threads I haven’t even visited.
Enough about you and the media sweetie
I quit working at shoprite and now I make $65-85 per/h. How? I’m working online! My work didn’t exactly make me happy so I decided to take a chance on something new… after 4 years it was so hard to quit my day job but now I couldn’t be happier.
Here’s what I do…>> Click here
Ok, the bots took Cyto's name.
They have gone too far!
I started working at Shoprite and am making $100 per hour. You must have been holding them back.
Actually, I didn’t. I stuck to the topic.
"boorish, classless behavior on a daily basis."
That's you to the atoms.
ooooh boorish. cute.
last week in the debate, they have observed boorish, classless behavior on a daily basis.
And? Again, I ask, what has changed from the last 4 years? Reason, you and M4E regale us daily with tales of the how the Classless Boor in Chief has fucked up.
The polls have changed, but not the circumstances? It reeks of propaganda.
My answer, which I gave, and I admit is just a hunch, is that the poll might well be inaccurate.
I enjoy fairy tales too, but usually I recognize the ones I wrote myself and never believe they are actually true.
"I enjoy fairy tales too, but usually I recognize the ones I wrote myself"
Killing myself laughing. This applies to most Jeff and Plug posts too.
"The fact that he can’t even keep Covid19 out of his WH speaks to his incompetency."
Seriously, knock this bullshit off. You are a disgusting person and should be ashamed of yourself.
COVID is a virus. Despite all your preparations, tests, and precautions, it infects people. Your desire to act like COVID is some sort of consequence of incompetence or some other crypto-sin is causing real damage to our society. There are people telling kids that they are killing grandpa because obviously they couldn't wear their mask correctly.
And the real sad thing is that 20 years ago, if some republican said "Oh he has AIDS? Clearly that's an example of his incompetence", you would have been apoplectic. Just imagine what would have happened had that been the prevailing sentiment through the 90s and the Clinton Administration.
Now sit back and reflect on that- how much of your soul you have sold out to get the Orange Man? How much damage are you going to do to our social fabric just to score a few points?
It will be interesting to see the reaction when Pelosi or M4E get it.
Pelosi is undead, so she is immune
Well she is Elizabeth Bathorey in disguise, bathing in the blood of villagers boosts your immune system.
(Googles Elizabeth Bathorey)
Yep, checks out.
Alcohol kills the virus. Granny Winebox is perfectly safe.
We know there are things you can do to reduce your chance for exposure and Trump did none of these. In fact he ridiculed those taking precautions. So now that Covid19 is going through the WH it is the result of his incompetency in not taking precautions.
As for AIDS, once it was known that the disease was sexually transmitted, I would certainly say that people who continued to unsafe sex practices were foolish and that they were endangering others. So I am consistent.
Oh ok you decided to ignore him and double up on cunty.
Reduce not eliminate fuckhead. You can reduce your chances, but your can't eliminate them. And it's a fucking virus. Sooner or later you will be exposed despite any precautions you take. Fucking learn some fucking science.
I'm disappointed that you are joining the ranks of conservative-leaning libertarians who tell others here to "fuck off". I thought you were trying to rise above the behavior of other conservative-leaning libertarians here and be more civil, but I guess I'm wrong.
He said "fuckhead", "fucking virus", "fucking learn", and "fucking science".
He did not say "fuck off". He didn't even imply it, and yet you have it in quotes.
Haha pedantic Dee got the quote wrong!
I thought you didn't use sockpuppets anymore Moderation4ever?
Oh gee a veteran using the word fuck. Oh my God it never happens. And Mod4ever is being a fuckhead he's used the same line of argument since fucking Friday and has been told multiple times why it is a stupid take. The fact that he continues to use an illogical, unscientific, panic driven narrative despite people explaining why it is all of that for almost a week now, makes him a fuckhead. Also, never said fuck off. Called him a fuckhead.
Disappointed in you, nonetheless.
GFY
Oh well, shit happens. If you hadn't gathered I am fucking sick and tired of the illogical, purse grasping reaction to a virus that will likely never be eliminated. And tired of people arguing that the President had some form of superpower to eliminate the virus. Maybe Trump was given Compound V in the hospital and now has virus eliminating superpowers? Albeit, adults don't tolerate compound V well, from what I've seen.
If only there was a known protocol that sharply decreased the chances of contracting the virus...if only...
You guys are still crying about the security risk one unsecured email server was, but see no security risk in the man in charge of the largest nuclear weapons arsenal being sick with a potentially deadly pathogen?
The evidence is clear: The GOP has more new covid cases than several countries combined. This was avoidable, contrary to your cult's fatalist mentality.
First who the fuck is you guys? And who the fuck brought up the server besides you? Second define dramatically? Because it correlates to reducetion of the chance of infection by possibly 10% points according to some very small studies. That doesn't prove causation and it certainly doesn't equal elimination. And gee having new cases when you are out in public is not a fucking surprise. The only way to avoid it is to completely lock yourself up and anyone who comes into contact with you. And no no conflict how many times has a President ever gotten the fucking flu? The Flu is also fucking possibly fatal so that line of argument is asinine.
Also, the Constitution creates a clear line of succession, so even if he did die or was rendered incapable of performing his duties, it wouldn't fucking matter anyhow. It isn't like the assassination of Kennedy resulted in a nuclear Holocaust so what is the fucking point of your rant about the nuclear arsenal? That is pure demagoguing on your part. In fact your entire post is nothing but demagoguery. Not one single fucking valid point in the whole fucking thing.
There’s a reason you should just call him Lying Jeffy and keep it moving Soldier. That reason is that he’s a dishonest piece of shit who doesn’t even know how to argue in good faith.
Hey guys, let's all promise to never disappoint Whitey.
Fuck Whitey.
GGY
conservative-leaning libertarians who tell others here to “fuck off”

Trolls and liars get told to fuck off. If M4E has ever contributed a post that wasn't a Democrat, Marxist, or authoritarian bureaucrat talking point, I have yet to see it.

What a condescending prick. As if he or anyone else gives a flying fuck what you think.

Cherry picking the few instances when Trump wore a mask is not a refutation of the known facts that he mocked anyone who wore a mask in the White House, and has mocked others who wear masks. Or that masks were not being worn during the Supreme Court nomination ceremony, nor during the debate practice sessions.
Trump has said contradictory things and sent out mixed messages on just about every topic imaginable. It's always possible to cherry pick some statement or action by Trump.
"Cherry picking the few instances when Trump wore a mask is not a refutation of the known facts that he mocked anyone who wore a mask"
Good thing that wasn't what I totally and successfully refuted.
“Trump did none of these”
THAT is what I titally and completely refuted dumbfuck.
Desperate pedantry is all the Trump cultists have left now. Biden is up 12 points in PA. The GOP is circling the drain.

So you're running the "Moderation4ever" sockpuppet. I suspected for some time but one it is confirmed.
>> running the “Moderation4ever” sockpuppet
makes sense he complained constantly about the lack of moderation before he scurried off to Quora
Few?
Yes, he has only been seen wearing a mask on a few occasions. And it is well-documented that he doesn't wear a mask while working with others at the White House, and mocks staff who do.
And? You seem to be cherry picking as much as you accuse Calvin in this instance. He provides proof that Trump wears a mask, and your retort is that it is only a "few times".
No, because I am acknowledging that Trump has worn a mask at times.
Now, it's your turn to address why Trump has mocked people who wear masks.
Because he is an asshat and makes fun of people, BFD?
I don't wear a mask around people I work with all day. That would be completely pointless according to all the science and even the Science! that has been posted numerous times.
But whatever, keep pwetending your diapwer is pwotecting you fwom the viwus.
You are going off on a completely different topic.
The topic was whether Trump supports masks or not, not whether I do.
https://www.ucsf.edu/news/2020/06/417906/still-confused-about-masks-heres-science-behind-how-face-masks-prevent
Here you go. I'll refrain from directly posting studies here, as you guys have trouble with big words and stats.
"The topic was"
Says who?
By my reading the subject was whether Trump ever wore masks.
I was not going off the topic. The President has no reason to wear a mask. The White House is most certainly sealed and kept at positive pressure to prevent a gas attack and everyone in the White House is tested daily. There is no science or Science! that shows efficacy of masks for people in the same building all day. There is no benefit against infection, and after 10 to 15 minutes together, there is no benefit against transmission.
People who engage in mask theater should be roundly mocked.
Two compelling case reports also suggest that masks can prevent transmission in high-risk scenarios, said Chin-Hong and Rutherford. In one case, a man flew from China to Toronto and subsequently tested positive for COVID-19. He had a dry cough and wore a mask on the flight, and all 25 people closest to him on the flight tested negative for COVID-19. In another case, in late May, two hair stylists in Missouri had close contact with 140 clients while sick with COVID-19. Everyone wore a mask and none of the clients tested positive.
From DoL's link, more anecdote as evidence. Science!
So...I don't wear a mask all day at my office nor do any of my coworkers. We also crack jokes on each other, Karens, stupid shit Trump says, stupid shit Biden says, and whatever else we feel like taking a piss on. It's called not working in the HR department.
" mocked anyone who wore a mask in the White House, and has mocked others who wear masks."
Holy shit. et tu, TWK?
Please, please. Take a step back and think about what choices led you to try and defend this Witch Burning, Wrath of God bullshit. I am one of the people here who tries to engage you guys with a modicum of civility. I know I am not always perfect, but this just goes beyond the pale.
Again. This virus spreads all over, and attempts to say people contracted it because they didn't follow masking rules is reckless beyond belief. It is a FACT that study after study shows that there is still risk to everyone in a masked envrionment. It is a FACT that we have ample evidence of people like Biden taking off their mask as soon as the camera is off, and walking over to talk with reporters and the like.
Stop defending this nonsense. It was horseshit when preachers were blaming tornadoes on the deviants, and it is horseshit now.
I'm not defending or not defending masks.
The topic of discussion was whether Trump supports or does not support wearing masks, not me.
You are hopeless.
I don’t think “mocked” means what you think it means.
"We know there are things you can do to reduce your chance for exposure and Trump did none of these."
No, in fact Trump was one of the most protected people in the country. And despite that, the virus slipped through. Just like MILLIONS of other people in this country who contracted the virus despite wearing their masks every day.
My kids were at summer day-camp and then "virtual school" day camp for the past four months. There has been no outbreak despite the fact that they didn't wear masks for the first 2 months of that- through California's spike. Another daycare in the area had strict mask rules and had to shut down due to an outbreak.
Viruses work like that. You might reduce the chances of infection by 10% or 50%, but you cannot prevent it and lead an ordinary life.
And you continuing to try to link infection to sinful behavior makes you a terrible human being. Seriously. You are deplorable. You are feeding a hysteria that makes kids and adults feel like the only reason they can contract this virus is if they are sinful (not wearing a mask). This leads people to ignore other precautions, and it leads people to condemn folks (including children) who did everything asked of them, but became infected anyways.
Lefties really are evil, and despite Dee’s squawks otherwise, she’s a lefty.

"How much damage are you going to do to our social fabric just to score a few points?"
They've answered that one clearly.
They're going to burn it all down.
That was the prevailing sentiment in the 90s. Hell, 'round here, that's still the prevailing sentiment.
In MI, I think the governor is affecting the polling. Not by design (she is not that intelligent), but by happenstance. People are very unhappy about the shutdown and draconian restrictions. Also, consider the source...The Detroit Times. Seriously.

The only redeeming quality of the Detroit Times is Mitch Albom.

Yeah, soon as I saw the source, I was like "say no more". With regards to Whitmer, I really need to start a betting pool as to whether she's going to be removed via impeachment or guillotine. She's tied with Cuomo for the title of "Shittiest Governor"

Fuck, I've accidentally read your comment before realizing it was your comment which I shouldn't have bothered to read in the first place.
"Older voters grew up knowing dignified politicians and leaders."
Yes, I think there is probably something to that.
Why are you talking to yourself?
Because you are boring to talk to.
Yes I'm sure getting shown up constantly does get boring for you.
Moderation4ever
Thanks for admitting you’re M4E, Dee.
What should he have done that was legal and Constitutional? What exact actions can a President really take to stop the spread of a virus? And if they have that remarkable skill why has no President ever stopped the flu in the past? Or the spread of any virus? And don't use smallpox as an example, the vaccine for smallpox was developed in the 1790s (and even prior to that preventative treatments for smallpox existed using controlled exposure through inoculation). We didn't eliminate smallpox until the mid 1970s, almost two centuries after the vaccine was developed. Measles was almost completely eliminated in the US, until the current anti-vax movement, but just a small drop in vaccination rates have reintroduced it. So what magical powers can you use to stop the spread of a virus, numbnuts?
Moderation4ever is talking about taking measures within the White House and among his staff. He is the boss in that realm, but we know that he mocked any staff members who wore a mask.
It still is reduce not eliminate. Unless he completely lockdowns the white house, including forcing every employee not to leave the grounds so as to control their exposure, my point stands. Again it's a virus you can't eliminate just reduce!
"We know there are things you can do to REDUCE your chance for exposure and Trump did none of these." [Emphasis mine.]
"Trump did none of these.”
is a lie.
Take that up with Moderation4ever. I was quoting him. I didn't say Trump has done none of these.
Notice the way WK always writes M4E's name out, like he has it on a macro or something? He always refers to me as just Chuck...
😉
He did take it up with Moderation4ever
And you are 1000 percent Moderation4ever.
Yes the emphasized word was Reduced, which is my point. Reduction is not eliminating and even if he had reduced exposure there is no proof that the reduction methods would have prevented exposure and ergo there is no proof that he wouldn't have caught the bleeding virus anyhow. Reduction doesn't equal elimination. That is my point.
And while Mod4ever did use the word reduce he then went on and blamed Trump as if reducing completely eliminated exposure. His post in no way implies that reduction methods may still not have prevented infections. Once again my point stands.
Damn Dee, you’re getting slapped around more than usual this am.
"Moderation4ever"
YOU. You mean YOU are.
The X is a sock puppet of Y is one of the most boring, empty rhetorical tropes used here.
And in this case, 100 percent accurate, Moderation4ever.
And let's not pretend you don't play the "YOU'RE TULPA!!" game asshole.
In the future we will all be tulpa for 15 min.
Or at least he will spoof our handle
You’re Tulpa!
(No, really. It says it right there.)
You get like this when you're caught red handed.
“Mocked” them?
From what I’ve seen of the public statements, he’s pretty much been saying ‘I don’t think they’re very effective, but to each his own’. Is this mockery to you? I mean, if anyone should know.....
This is a real blind spot for the left, over dramatizing everything. Controlling the border (like every other country does) is “cruel”, “silence is violence”, “we only have 12 years”, and other hyperbolic bullshit. And the smug self righteousness of throwing around labels like “fascist” and “nazi” at everyone who disagrees is humorous to watch, as the ”deplorables” reject the hubris yet again.
Too funny. Don’t change a thing. Haha.
Yeah. JFK banged Marilyn Monroe at the White House. Really dignified

I remember, not too long ago, when people were saying that Trump would lose the elderly vote because they are old and will die off.
I wonder if those jackwagons still hope for the same.
Just to add to the irony, Michigan was one of the states that required nursing homes to accept patients who were positive for COVID-19 and has seen a lot of nursing home deaths. Maybe the virus only infects Trump voters?
Or maybe all the dead Democrats were polled as likely voters.
the Democrats wear masks?
Most Latinos don't. Not in a public space where make usage isn't mandated.
No one meaningfully enforces social distancing and mask mandates anyways.
This sounds like a preemptive explanation of why Trump is going to lose all those elderly votes that get hijacked/harvested.
Then the question becomes will the harvesters resist over-doing things so that Biden gets less than 110% of the Michigan senior vote?
No, Skeptic. It's having to repeat the lie as if it were the truth, that is a main goal here. It works better to dishearten the opposition if they're forced to parrot bullshit, and all they hear from the media and from their colleagues is the truth of the obvious lie.
See, most Communist elections.
Is that the truth you are going to believe in if significantly more Michigan seniors vote for Biden than Trump? "It had to be fixed!"
which makes more sense? The senior vote in Michigan does something like a 30 point change over the course of a month for the first time in decades for no discernable reason, OR the democrat party, which openly admitted to rigging their 2016 primary, which has the media in their pocket, and which has openly stated that Trump must be stopped at all costs, is rigging polls and ballots? Especially when we are finding multiple cases of election fraud across the country, such as Patterson, NJ, and Ilhan Omar's district in Minnesota.
"which makes more sense? The senior vote in Michigan does something like a 30 point change over the course of a month..."
What makes more sense is that polls are unreliable, so we will see how people vote when they actually vote.
"Take away the ballots, and you will have a peaceful transition of power."
Which candidate said this incredibly despot-y line?
Which Vice President was part of administration that instituted an illegal spying campaign against the American people? I don't think you want to play whose a greater despot; what with Biden's 30+ years in government. Trump hasn't had enough time in office to come close to Biden. And that isn't meant to excuse Trump's despotic executive orders; only if you are trying playing whose the greater despot and take Biden, you're gonna lose.
If the evidence shows it, I'll believe it.
My comment is that election fraud happens and a smart election fraudster prepares the narrative in advance.
A negative cannot be proven.
If they count the ballots in Michigan, and Biden wins by a significant margin, and there is no evidence of significant fraud, will you count that as "the evidence shows it"?
(Of course, there is no way they will ever be able to give an official count of votes made by people in a particular age bracket. Only surveys can do that.)
Try to understand words literally for a change.
If there is evidence of voter fraud, then I will believe there was voter fraud. That is not proving a negative. Get out of your bubble.
And if there is no evidence for voter fraud, will you believe the results of the Michigan vote tally?
It had to be the Russians!
yeah, laying the groundwork to explain how Biden carries all the nursing homes via vote harvesting

The Senate Judiciary Committee will begin its confirmation hearing on the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett...
At stake? Uteri in chains. Ladies and gentlemen, the culturally-appropriated-kid gloves must come off. Begin your smears.
Judge Amy gets a papist smear?
Nice.
Good one!
Will it keep Kamala Harris off the campaign trail?
I wonder if the judge will answer one of Harris' shrill screeds with, "Wow you got schooled by the whitest white guy who ever whited last week'.
Televised Senate hearings are the campaign trail.
But good fodder for drinking games.
A funny aside...I played debate bingo last week. I had 5 across (and down) within 8 minutes. Had to chug the beers. I quickly realized that playing debate bingo would be hangover inducing. So by minute 18, I somewhat soberly called the game.
Quitter.
Yeah, my beloved wife was starting to give me a gimlet eye. So the smart move here was not to annoy her. 🙂
mate, drinking games for a Trump/Biden debate? That's not a game, it's a suicide pact.
LOL....it could have been.
The Kerry vs Bush debates were happening while I was in college. We had "debate shots", the conditions were do a shot every time W made a grammatical error.
I did 18 shots in an hour and a half, my compatriots had thrown in the towel before that. Still the only time I've actually blacked out from drinking.
That’s a random Tuesday for sarc.

<i.Only days into his diagnosis, the first thing President Trump does when he gets back to the White House is take his mask off.
Dude was gasping for air and the mask couldn't have helped. Cut him some slack.
Rebreathing the virus cannot be good for anybody. That is why doctors never ask patients to wear masks.
Bitching from a cunt who happily and routinely removes her mask when the cameras stop rolling. CNN is fucking insane.
Yeah, her tweet along with pictures of her doing that are all over Twitter.

Then he can rent out rooms, right?
I wonder if any president before Trump thought of that.

Yeah, the polls told us in 2016 that Crooked Hillary was a certainty. Where is she again? Oh yeah, sitting her fat ass in a rocking chair is Westchester county NY.
It’s only 9:40. Pretty sure she’s still sleeping off the box of wine from last night.
Yeah, but the polls now are telling us Biden is even more of a certainty. Doubly certain.
I’m sure a poll with a 22 point swing isn’t an outlier.
Nah....nothing to see here. The MoE of that poll is big enough to drive a truck through.
...two White House housekeepers and White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany have tested positive for COVID-19.
Superspreader-in-chief.
The biggest! The best!
I do have to say that these are bizarre actions being taken by the administration. Like it or not, people are terrified of this virus and the Media is more than happy to spread that terror. Choosing to send an infected person into a room with these poor dears, or choosing to travel to New Jersey and hold a rally while Trump was infected- they just give the media another reason to not talk about anything except how Trump is killing grandma.
I know Trump doesn't want to appear weak, but COVID response is absolutely a place where the public does not trust him- right, wrong or indifferent. If I were his campaign team, I would be doing everything in my power to avoid giving the media hooks to complain that Trump is cavalier about the spread of the disease.
I don't hear the attendees whining about it = Bedminster fundraiser
Phailing Phil, and his little gremlin AG are bothered though.
"Like it or not, people are terrified of this virus"
Lol sure. No one voting for Trump is.
If I were his campaign team, I would be doing everything in my power to avoid giving the media hooks to complain that Trump is cavalier about the spread of the disease.
I wouldn't be surprised if his campaign team advised him not to leave the hospital too early and to not take off the mask before he was inside the WH out of the sight of cameras, but he did it anyway because FYTW. "Trump's campaign advisor" is probably one of the more stress inducing jobs in the world.
Don't get me wrong a president having a FYTW attitude towards his advisors isn't always a bad thing. Like the story about Reagan allegedly being advised to cut the "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall" line from his speech and then going ahead and saying it anyway. But in this case I think not giving the media any more ammo would have been the better way to go.
“'Trump’s campaign advisor'” is probably one of the more stress inducing jobs in the world."
Evidence: His former campaign chief is in a psychological ward, and that guy's replacement has COVID-19.
Stay classy Moderation4ever
Are we not allowed to discuss politics and politicians here? Is the board just here to discuss who is a sock puppet, gripe about Democrats, and tell libertarians to "fuck off"?
Fuck off Moderation4ever
The mask thing is "Meh" for me. He was already isolated. But definitely going to an event if he knew he was infected, and sending your infected press secretary into a room with others just seems tone deaf.
Even at the beginning of this pandemic, everyone broadly agreed that "If you test positive, you should self isolate". Choosing to engage in activities that might infect others makes them look bad.
If I am a reporter aching to get Trump (i.e. a reporter), my next step is to go licking subway cars so that I can claim that I was infected by the press secretary.
Did he test positive before or after the event? My understanding was it happened after the event. The same with the press secretary.
My understanding was it happened after the event.
That was my understanding as well. The campaign event was Wednesday and he tested positive Thursday night sometime. I also thought he, along with everyone else who was present, was tested prior to the debate on Tuesday and tested negative. So either the pre-debate test was a false negative or he was infected sometime between then and Thursday. Probably caught it from Hope Hicks (I thought she tested positive either late Wednesday or early Thursday - not sure which). Which I'm kind of surprised no one in the media has taken the opportunity to imply that there's some kind of hanky panky going on between him, Hicks, and his wife (since she also tested positive last Thursday).
Or he had been infected but wasn't far enough along for it to show up positive. But the event in Bemidji was attended by a number of my parents friends and Bemidji has been experiencing an uptick over the past couple of weeks, so it is highly likely he was exposed there.
I should elaborate my Mom still keeps in touch with several of her friends in Bemidji and they have reported that Bemidji has had an uptick in cases recently, which started before the campaign event.
Not surprising, Bemidji State University classes started at the end of August (the 24th) and the campus is open with in person classes. And just coincidentally the number of cases started increasing in mid-September.
I think it is an open question as to whether or not he had tested positive already (I'm going by what I heard on the news this morning). However he certainly knew that he had been in close contact with someone who tested positive. I *completely* agree that this isn't the same thing- but again the optics of this are important.
Meh. Anyone who’s been on a plane, (or done one of many other activities around other people) can’t really bitch about this too much.
Well, they can, but it’s disingenuous.
"I do have to say that these are bizarre actions being taken by the administration"
You're used to feckless, pandering politicians.
No. I have long said that mask mandates are wrong from a libertarian perspective. However choosing to potentially infect others when you know you are positive for the virus is at the least bad optics, and very possibly a violation of the NAP (especially if you do not notify people before hand).
I do not think this is an example of the latter, because I am sure Trump, et al were taking precautions to prevent the spread. But again, this runs the risk of turning away voters that Trump needs to go another 4 years.
"However choosing to potentially infect others "
Go the fuck away Karen.
I’d like to spread Kayleigh. Yummy.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is finally acknowledging that COVID-19 can spread through the air.
But guns still make the weather hotter, right?
Guns might not make the weather hotter, but they certainly inspire more neighborly behavior when they are carried around openly.

I agree that both the polls and ENB are wrong again.
And having seen first hand the results of people who vote against a candidate instead of for their competitor, it’s disastrous.
Voting for someone because you don’t like the competitor is not only a wasted vote, it leads to terrible outcomes.
McAfee has been accused of...not filing any federal tax returns between 2014 and 2018.
And he wanted to be president. How was he going to keep his tax returns from the press if he didn't even have any?
He's playing the long game.
Long sentence game, maybe.
And he wanted to be president.
Having a tax dodging whale fuckier who married a hooker from Belize and has been known to play Russian Roulette for fun as president would be pretty epic though.
It's amazing he isn't the official Libertarian party candidate with a resume like that.
Fun fact: he didn't run for LP nomination this year because he was too busy fucking whales.
I can't blame him, that does seem more productive than participating in the Libertarian party.
Instead, they went with an academic
Better question is what took him so long to stop paying taxes?

This cop would have to be assigned the worst union rep in the country to make this statement.
Moar money needed for training!
The dude was so well trained that he instinctively went for the gun and mag dumped it without even being aware of it - I'd guess that's as well-trained as it gets.
Bullets were fired...
I’d guess that’s as well-trained as it gets.
32 shots between 3 officers and the only thing they have to show for it is a dead bystander and a wounded comrad. Good thing they didn't stumble upon someone really nasty, they probably would've found their bodies with the toungues pulled out through the slits in their throats.
Instead of charging Kyle Rittenhouse with murder for the crime of self-defense, they really need him to give these guys lessons in properly engaging targets with a minimum of ammunition expended.
That kid's poise was just amazing
The dude was so well trained that he instinctively went for the gun and mag dumped it without even being aware of it
And fired the fatal shot, too. I'm sure his instructors back at the academy are very proud.
My understanding is he didn't hit shit or was that the other detective who may dumped? I think the not hitting shit but the neighbors apartment is much more in line with most police forces standard of marksmanship.
My understanding is he didn’t hit shit or was that the other detective who may dumped?
I think that was the one who was firing blind through the door (or something like that) that hit the neighbors apartment. Same one who was charged with reckless endangerment or whatever the legal term was.
It wouldn't surprise me if the fatal shot was the only one of the 16 rounds he fired that hit anything and only out of pure luck.

Exactly. Idiot thinks being hospitalized is not a significant health event.
Idiot has watched too many TV shows with hunky patients trading quips with hunky doctors. Or just looking sad, but still dreamy.
“Nearly a third of hospitalized COVID-19 patients experienced some type of altered mental function—ranging from confusion to delirium to unresponsiveness”
Those are all symptoms of oxygen deprivation. From people hospitalized for viral pneumonia. This is a perfect example of the Science! crowd trying to scare people with facts that are completely irrelevant.
Headline: 31 Flavors of Death! - as ice cream sales soar in summer, more people being admitted to hospital with heat stroke!

More bad economic news.
Reason.com's benefactor Charles Koch only earned $663,000,000 yesterday.
He needs to do a lot better than that in order to get back into the global top 10. But because of Drumpf's high-tariff / low-immigration polices, Mr. Koch is barely in the top 20.

Nearly a third of hospitalized COVID-19 patients experienced some type of altered mental function—ranging from confusion to delirium to unresponsiveness...
Confusion as to how forcing so many people out of work didn't protect them.
New York surveyed hospitalized COVID-19 patients back in April/May. 50% of them were staying home all the time already. 83% of them weren't even working -- they were already retired, or disabled. When that data came out, all of the shutdowns should have been ended nationwide, but it was filed down the memory hole.

Another expert weighs in on the effectiveness of wearing a cloth mask to prevent Covid infection: “In the hospital when we go into close contact with a Covid patient we dress in full PPE: Gown, gloves, N95, eye protection, hat. This is the height of irresponsibility.”
Fortunately, a different site reports that President Trump added a Black Lives Matter decal to his SUV to prevent the spread of his infection.
I think not many people get what happened there.
The polls are oversampling Democrats. Just ask John. He asserted that any poll that doesn't show Trump with a major lead is intentionally polling more Democrats, and the burden of proof is on anyone who says otherwise.
So John lives in your head rent free.
And cannot be evicted because of Trump's executive order.
So John and Trump have second residences in YOUR head.
No he didn't.
He said the WSJ poll was +8 higher on Democrats. Which it was. Why lie?
Did you learn nothing from 2016?
Did you learn nothing from 2016?
I learned plenty. Did you learn anything?
Why did you even reply with that?
"YES I DID! NO U!"
Fuck just slink away like you normally do you sad fucking John obsessive.
What got you so emotional?
Yes, that was what I was wondering about your post.
Didn't you start this by crying about John?
What got you so stupid?
Jesse gave you a proper answer that you didn't/couldn't rebut, so you weaseled out.
Pathetic.
That’s how you respond when you’re broken. Or a child. And unfortunately, sarcasmic isn’t a child.
#sad
No, you apparently didn't. You didn't learn one of the primary issues with polling was the issue if over sampling democrats.
So be honest. What did you learn?
TBF: This was *Not* one of the primary issues with polling. There were two big problems with polling:
1) Pollsters thought that voting numbers would be similar to previous years. Unfortunately Hillary couldn't get people to the polls in the same numbers Trump did.
2) The biggest problem was that polls had one large pool of white-democrat voters. And in the 2016 election, that pool fractured- with white, college educated democrats voting the same as in previous years, and white blue-collar democrats breaking towards Trump. And so the the pollsters weren't making sure that their "White Democrat" demo was representative of both subgroups.
This wasn't about over-sampling Democrats. It was about failing to understand which democrats were going to cross the line for trump and which democrats were going to stay home.
"This wasn’t about "
Please shut the fuck up, the useless experts on this subject are legion.
He's got a point, and offered an analysis. Better than 99% of Plugs posts.
sometimes you need to trust the raw data and stop massaging it.
or the FBI might start investigating.
By the way dummy... pollsters adjust polling based on voter registration numbers, they adjust based on what they believe the electorate sample will be. So a +8 is huge when voting totals end up being close in all but the bluest of states. Plus there is the equalization of voter registrations that makes these +8 samples even worse:
https://www.usnews.com/news/politics/articles/2020-10-03/surge-in-new-gop-voters-puts-pressure-on-florida-democrats
So apparently you're lying as to having learned anything.
Do you practice being an arrogant, condescending prick, or does it come naturally?
So you're offering him lessons?
Calling names because you can't rebut assertions means that you're the prick here, Sarc.
Grow up or fuck off.
It makes more sense when you realize Jesse is Ted Cruz.
I learned about the importance of margin of error in 2016. The polls back then were within the margin of error, meaning, essentially a toss up. A 30 point difference is well outside the margin of error.
Trump will have to rely on suppressing the vote and preventing re--counts in states where he holds a narrow lead, if there are any.
"A 30 point difference is well outside the margin of error."
I too have done the math.
And all his cultists are fin with suppressing the vote and preventing recounts. Which is pretty fucking un-american.
Says the leftist cultist.
Everything is so terrible and unfair, Oppresso.
Nobody’s suppressing anything. What a doosh.
"...Why lie?"
He's a lefty shit; that's what they do.
Sigh. Bless your heart.
Well, the article doesn't link to the actual survey other than a vague paragraph at the end about methodology, but here's a look into how the Glengarrif Group seems to typically conduct surveys, which is reflected in the current one as well:
"Inside this poll: How Michigan's likely voters were chosen
The Detroit News
Published June 4, 2019
Sixty-five percent of likely voters were interviewed by landline phone and the other 35% were surveyed by cellphones in a bid to have proper representation of younger voters.
The poll has a margin of error of 4 percentage points, meaning any survey number potentially could be up to 4 points higher or lower than what the survey found.
Glengariff surveyed 43% Democrats, 36% Republicans and 19% independents, reflecting Michigan’s historic Democratic Party advantage among registered voters."
So, yes, if you're already tipping the scales of your survey based on historic voting patterns, rather than a legitimate random sample, then the numbers are going to be skewed.
Likely voter does not equal...registered, likely voter.
yeah, the pretty much admitted their methodology was flawed.
weighting by registered voters will always advantage Democrats.
weighting by likely voters will advantage Republicans, and reality.
That is substantially different from the exit polls.
https://www.cnn.com/election/2016/results/exit-polls/michigan/president
Democrats: 39
Republicans: 31
Independents: 29
It isn't about them over-sampling Dems over Republicans, so much as them under-sampling Independents.
But the funny thing about independents is that they are the ones Trump has been losing in most of the polls I have seen. So don't plan for another 4 years, quite yet.
Eh, it was a given that this was going to be a tight race. What's interesting about this one is that Trump's strategy seems to be operating from the assumption that people have already made up their minds and that nothing he or Biden says will really move the needle much. So he's focusing on increasing turnout in the Republican party base, which appears to be particularly enthusiastic to vote for Trump, and letting the chips fall where they may on the Independent side.
I suspect the Democrats figured it didn't particularly matter who they nominated, as long as it wasn't Bernie or Tulsi. Biden's campaign was dead in the water after Bernie blew him the fuck out in Nevada, and I don't think it's a coincidence that the Democratic establishment IMMEDIATELY lined up hard behind Biden as the presumptive nominee. Kamala Harris was rendered impotent after Tulsi shanked her in that debate, but she's one of Hillary's sycophants and it's not surprising that she ended up getting the VP nod, as well.
"The poll has a margin of error of 4 percentage points, meaning any survey number potentially could be up to 4 points higher or lower than what the survey found."
Not exactly. A margin of error of +/-4 percentage points means there is a 95% chance the population surveyed is within that range. There's still a 5% chance the population really lies outside that range.
And they admitted they were polling a population meant to demographically match registered voters, not likely voters.
USSC is blocking federal judges from changing state voter laws on their own. Mostly Obama appointed judges, these judges had put various injunctions on legislatively passed voting measures under the guise that covid was special and they could ignore legislative voting rules.

"This is a five-alarm fire for the president's campaign, if true," tweeted NBC News' Sahil Kapur.
I heard a rumor that Joe Biden actually died two months ago and has been secretly replaced by two midgets in an overcoat, which is big news, if true.
Sounds plausible. Now the burden of proof is on anyone who disagrees.
That works both ways. A sudden shift of 30+% points in a month is an extremely unlikely occurrence, ergo it is a fantastic claim and the burden of proof therefore lies with those asserting that such a shift is valid, not those who point out that that is unlikely. The former is arguing a change from historical norms of several decades, the latter is arguing that the formers argument seems unlikely as it is a complete change from the natural state. The latter's argument is less fantastic then the former.
Correction: 20+% percentage points.
..If true.
Said the “reporter”.
Get this man a press badge, stat!
He can just make his own. Works for the Antifa 'tards.
And, the top midget in the overcoat ate the five-alarm chili. This is a five-alarm fire for the midgets' presidential campaign, if true. NBC News needs to tweet this out.
It will be an emergency for the bottom midget, if true.
Obviously, the most important question is, "Were both midgets wearing masks or just the one we could see?"
Watch for Joe wearing a mask over his pants. That will be the tell.
"That's not true".
"That's been totally discredited"
"What was the question?"
I don't doubt that Trump is indeed doing worse with older folks than Republicans have in recent years. He is brash and loud and "unpresidential;" Bob Dole and Mitt Romney and even GWB are more what they are used to. Biden does a better job of playing that role (even if it is indeed "playing"). And "older voters" is not a static demographic; with every election, it is increasingly comprised of Boomers vs. Silent Generation and the few remaining Greatest Generation voters. And, of course, the elephant in the room is Covid- this year, Boomers have confirmed how incredibly selfish and narcissistic they are to a degree I hadn't thought possible. They have made it clear that they are willing to sacrifice their children's careers and their grandchildren's most important formative years- doing irreparable damage to both that will haunt them for a lifetime- in order to gain a small amount of safety and security for themselves. And Biden is clearly the candidate of "no matter the cost, I will make sure no one dies ever again."
The counterpoint to this may be how well Trump motivates younger blue collar voters that traditionally haven't been politically active. They are wound up for Trump- they love his style and the fact that he relentlessly trolls the kind of people who hate them. The trick will be whether they actually vote. But I think regardless, one of the legacies of Trump may be fully transitioning the Republican party to being the party of the working class. For some reason, industrial Unions largely remain officially on Team D, but increasingly their membership seems to be breaking ranks and supporting the candidate who doesn't want to destroy the industries that employ them.
That's a good point - if you're looking at how Trump polls among old people as some sort of harbinger of the election, you're looking at the traditional method of haruspicy. Yet, haven't we agreed that Trump has upended all the norms? Why would you think the normal means of examining a normal person would be the correct way to examine an abnormal one?
Hot damn, you are an egghead, Jerryskids! I had never heard that word before!

Fuck off racist.
I thought it was some kind of Indian food seasoning.
But I think regardless, one of the legacies of Trump may be fully transitioning the Republican party to being the party of the working class. For some reason, industrial Unions largely remain officially on Team D, but increasingly their membership seems to be breaking ranks and supporting the candidate who doesn’t want to destroy the industries that employ them.
We'll see, but if that's the case it will be largely due to the Democrats abandoning their decades-long focus on blue-collar workers and small businesses beginning in the 90s, when the New Left boomers embraced NAFTA and outsourcing, the increasing embrace of anti-white philosophical frameworks that were making their way through academia during the same period, and the radical left takeover of mass media that went into overdrive during the Obama administration. What we're seeing with the Democrats now is just a maturation of all those trends.
What will be interesting to see is how the party evolves after Trump is gone, because he's a particularly unique individual at a specific moment in the cultural zeitgeist. The neocons fully appropriated the party after Reagan left, while the neoliberals were fully a creature of the Clintons, and their influence is still seen in the increasingly progressive bent of global megacorps. I'm not sure a party focused primarily on blue-collar workers can sustain itself, but this is how political realignments tend to work.
It can if by blue collar you mean middle class suburbanites along with a significant chunk of blacks and Hispanics. A party that is based in white blue collar only cannot sustain itself. But one based broadly on the middle class most certainly can.
"One of the legacies of Trump may be fully transitioning the Republican party to being the party of the working class. For some reason, industrial Unions largely remain officially on Team D, but increasingly their membership seems to be breaking ranks and supporting the candidate who doesn’t want to destroy the industries that employ them."
That happened during the Reagan administration, as well, and I think it has more to do with elitism on the left than it does with a change in what it means to be a Republican. That's the reason Reagan Democrats flocked in to vote for Reagan, too.
Clinton had to go out of his way to make himself palatable to average Americans again to pull them back into the Democratic Party. And if the Democrat leaning anti-trade folks of the rust belt don't deliver a victory for Trump in 2020, the Republicans will go back to their old positions.
It's like a cycle. When the Democrats start focusing almost entirley on feminists, blacks, Hispanics, environmentalists, LGBTQI+, etc., those groups are almost defined by contempt for their shared enemies--the white, blue collar, middle class that's been the bread and butter of the Democratic party since FDR. Once the Democratic party becomes more about serving the people who hate the white, blue collar middle class, the white blue collar middle class will start voting Republican.
That's what happened during the Carter administration, and that's what happened during the Obama administration. Those white, blue collar voters were lining up to vote for Obama in 2008 when he was railing against Wall Street and telling us that marriage was between a man and a woman. By 2016, Obama was telling us that marriage is whatever we want it to be and railing against the white, blue collar, middle class for being selfish, homophobic, xenophobic, and racist.
If that continues under Biden, we may see a shift, but I don't think that shift is permanent yet. Liz Warren came in third in Massachusetts in the Democratic primaries (and it isn't even a fully open primary). The reason she came in third in her home state of Massachusetts was because her campaign was too heavy on the social justice warrior shit. If that strategy doesn't work among registered Democrats in a mostly closed primary in Massachusetts, where does it work?
The Democrats will probably abandon that sooner or later, and that's the primary reason why the rust belt, white, blue collar, middle class lined up to support President Trump. It wasn't because of Trump per se. It was because the social justice warriors chased them out of the Democratic party.
The reason she came in third in her home state of Massachusetts was because her campaign was too heavy on the social justice warrior shit.
She came in third in Massachusetts because the DNC had gone all-in on Biden by then, and she hadn't yet accepted that fact.
She didn't get rejected by the voters, she got rat-fucked by her own party.
The Massachusetts primary was part of Super Tuesday, when California and Texas were still up for grabs.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Massachusetts_Democratic_presidential_primary
If she hadn't been in the race, Sanders probably would have won Massachusetts.
She had been leveling charges of sexism at Sanders, racism at Bloomberg, etc., etc.
She was actively trying to differentiate herself from the pack by being the biggest social justice warrior.
And it failed miserably.
The larger Democratic party is nowhere near as social justice warrior as the people who control the party, the people in the press, and the trolls on Twitter. Those social justice people can't even win a mostly closed primary in Massachusetts. They can't even come in second!
Dems already saw it as a two-man race by Super Tuesday, and thought a vote for Warren was a "wasted vote"
Some good points made- it will be interesting to see how it plays out. I'm not quite old enough to have been paying attention during the Reagan years (and Carter was before my time), so maybe I don't have a broad enough perspective on how things shift back and forth. I just know that, having come of age under Clinton, in my lifetime I have seen nothing but the D party moving farther and farther from being a logical home to the average blue collar worker- certainly industrial workers. From the time I was old enough to notice such things, I remember having a hard time figuring out how it was the Ds, and not the Rs, that were the political home of labor. I just couldn't imagine my dad's fellow union paperworkers being fired up about a party that cared more about letting two dudes have sex than their own industry being decimated by a combination of offshoring and onerous environmental regulations being pushed BY THAT VERY SAME PARTY. When a bus full of Greenpeace losers came to town to protest the mill, even as a kid I was thinking "I know damn well what party every one of those clowns votes for- how can the guys working here possibly justify voting for the same people?"
That might be important if 18-29 year olds actually bothered to vote, but they don't. Likewise, it might mean something for future LP candidates once those people do get older and start voting, but I think it's pretty obvious that once people start voting they'll just hold their nose and vote for either the giant douche or the turd sandwich anyway. So really, who gives a shit how many non-voters claim to support the LP?
Especially when they reach the age where Libertarian candidates running around naked starts to become embarrassing.
4?
Related to an earlier reply of mine. If jo jo gets above 3% ....
The sad thing is that to the extent that Trump is losing support, it's about his personality rather than the issues.
A just-released YouGov poll shows that “if the election were between Mike Pence and Kamala Harris,” registered voters say they would prefer Ms. Harris by a single point, 46% to 45%.
https://www.wsj.com/articles/dont-underestimate-mike-pence-11601938848?
If Pence is Trump sans the bravado, then that poll may be showing us what Americans think of the issues. I'm not sure Trump is capable of making the election about anything other than himself, but if this election were just about the issues, Trump would win.
Meanwhile, the Pence/Harris debate could easily be a forecast of 2024. I fully expect Biden to retire and leave Harris to campaign in 2024, and Pence is almost certainly the early favorite to win the nomination in 2024 if Trump loses in 2020. The issues that matter probably won't be much different in 2024 than they are today either. The only difference is that in 2024, we'll be arguing about Biden's Green New Deal after it was implemented, Biden's efforts to break the gun manufacturers after it was implemented, and Biden packing the Supreme Court after it was implemented.
We should be talking about those issues now--before those things are implemented. Those issues are losers for the Democrats, which is why all they want to talk about Donald Trump's personality. To whatever extent Pence can get people to focus on the issues again, he'll be improving Trump's chances of winning.
If Pence is smart, he picks Nikki Haley as his running mate.
Kristi Noem would get my vote.
Hell yeah
Kristi and Nikki would make one hell of a threesome.
Dude....we said running mate...not playmate. heh, heh.
They are both beautiful women.
don't forget Tulsi...
ACB? Anyone woman with 7 kids, five of them natural has to be a little freaky in bed. Otherwise her husband would have gotten bored a long time ago and just rubbed one out rather than keep impregnating her.
As a random comment, considering some of my cousins have 8+ kids, I have to wonder how freaky Mormons are?
What happens in the temple stays in the temple...
I have heard that rumor...
yeah I love the reds more than all the others too.
Shit, give me Tulsi and I don’t even need a third. Kristi and Nikki are politician hot, Tulsi is hot chick hot.
Nikki Haley may end up with the nomination herself. I would not be entirely happy about that--given her neocon credentials. Trump's absolute abandonment of a neocon foreign policy and his embrace of Reagan/Bush Sr. pragmatism is one of the best things about him.
If, in 2024, we're looking at trying to repeal the Green New Deal over the objections of a 17 member Supreme Court and in spite of the addition of four new Democrat Senators from the District of Columbia and the state of Puerto Rico, her neoconservatism may not make much of a difference--especially if President Biden/Harris runs a neocon foreign policy, too.
Regardless, a Haley/Pence ticket is a big possibility--regardless of whom gets the top billing on the ticket.
I agree. Nikki Haley may end up with the nomination herself.
If that happens it won't fuvking matter who runs - the American experiment in freedom will be over, and we'll be full on marxist totalitarian with sham elections.
You're in denial if you think a Trump "loss" means anything less.
Hmm, compare the optics of a Pence-Haley ticket with the Biden-Harris ticket. Most Americans would not be able to tell them apart.
If Pence is smart, he picks Nikki Haley as his running mate.
Get real. His wife wouldn't let him pick Nikki Haley.
His wife would be fine, Pence and Haley will never be in the same room alone.
Issues associated with Trump that differentiate him from the Democrats:
Against lockdowns.
In favor of reopening schools.
Against Green New Deal.
Pro-law and order
Against Bailing out California, New York, and Illinois
Issue associated with Biden and the Democrats that differentiate them from Trump:
pro-forced face masks
pro-Green New Deal.
anti-police
Make ObamaCare great again
Bail out of California, Illinois, and New York
I wish the voters were concerned with other issues like Trump's peace deal with the Taliban, gun rights, etc., but just on the issues people are focused on, I think Trump has the clear advantage. I just don't think he's capable of making voters focus on that after the last debate.
"and Pence is almost certainly the early favorite to win the nomination in 2024 if Trump loses in 2020"
Almost certainly not. Elections have consequences. Pence will carry the stink of defeat about him. Republicans will go with a 'never Trumper.' There is an ample choice (some even have a record of military service) and the party will be able to purge itself of the Trump influence, which will cling to pols like Pence like the stink of failure.
Pence is almost certainly the early favorite to win the nomination in 2024 if Trump loses in 2020.
Actually, I fully expect that if Trump loses this year, he'll try to pull a Grover Cleveland and run again in 2024. And who knows, he might very well end up getting the nomination.
No...too old by that time.
Trump has an awful nice life waiting for him at Mira-a-Lago, and he'll be 82 in 2024. No 82 year old is criss-crossing the country to campaign for president. That's why I expect Biden to drop out sometime after the midterms of 2022--if he wins in 2020. Biden will also be 82 in 2024.
There may not be any term limits written into the Constitution, but God seems to have imposed term limits on us anyway.
I thought he was 74 now, which would make 78 in 2024. Same age Biden is now, but yes, realistically too old (as is Biden now), but it wouldn't surprise me if he tries anyway. How realistic his odds of getting the nomination are is anyone's guess. I would think not very good, but then again I thought that when he first started running in 2016 and we all know how that turned out.
The smart thing would be to go down to Mar-a-Lago and enjoy what years he has left, but political power and prestige can be addictive for anyone. So who knows. Doesn't make much difference either way. And it's his life, if he wants to waste his autumn years running for office again that's up to him.
If Trump "loses" 2024 won't matter.
How the hell are you still in denial after everything we've seen this year?
How obvious was Pearl Harbor on December 6th? Or that 3,000 Americans were going to die in two major cities on September 10th? I was surprised, and I had kept up with following things like Bojinka, the Millennium plot, and others.
Normalcy bias is one hell of a drug.
My kingdom for an edit button.
Pence is nothing like Trump though. Pence is an actual religious conservative with no personality or charisma. Trump is a lifelong Democrat nativist with New York bluster and Brooklyn finesse.

On Monday, the Irish government announced that the entire country would move up to level three of its coronavirus plan at midnight on Tuesday. This is in disagreement with Covid-19 health advisors that said the country needed to move to the highest level of five, which would mean a strict lockdown in place with most businesses closing.
Prime Minister Micheál Martin said moving to the strictest level would cause massive economic damage but the chief medical officer, Tony Holohan, said this was the “only opportunity to get this disease back under control.” This is the first time the government has eschewed its experts’ advice.
“We’re certainly all still learning how to manage a pandemic in a way that’s sustainable, not just in health terms but in economic terms,” Makhlouf said. “At the end of the day, a healthy economy requires healthy consumers and a healthy workforce so the two are interrelated.”

the “only opportunity to get this disease back under control.”
This song was a big late spring and summer hit, but now that we're into the fall season, new tunes are dominating the charts.
Also, the advice of these government "medical experts" should only be heeded if they're willing to go without a paycheck until the pandemic ends.
Also, the advice of these government “medical experts” should only be heeded if they’re willing to go without a

The managerial class doesn't care if they're proven wrong or not, they'll obey because they're "experts."
These fucks have to be hit on a personal level before they'll consider modifying their positions, because they're the ones whose narratives the media are driving.

A good editor might ask, 'why use ten words when three suffice?'
When working as a sports editor, I would correct writers who submitted 'the team was losing, 5-4, in the fifth inning' because that team was trailing, not necessarily losing.
In this case, I am comfortable with "Trump is losing."
How do clingers plan to cope with what is coming?
The same way the deplorables did in 2016, when Crooked Hillary was winning. 🙂

Hey it worked!

And you were wrong and a shitty editor too!

Well, if anyone knows about losing, it’s the rev.

Do you expect anyone with normal intelligence to believe you 'edited' anything other than your scrapbook, you pathetic piece of shit?
Especially since he's wrong. They are losing.
Scrapbook? Where I’m from it’s called a coloring book.
His mom had to take away his coloring books because he kept eating his crayons.
I was going to make a joke about eating crayons is as close to being a Marine that Kirkland ever got (random joke, BTW) but as much as I love flipping shit at other branches I decided that was insulting Marines to much to imply they had anything in common with Kirkland.
I see Biden is once again blathering about "uniting the country". Given that nearly half the people in this country are Nazi's, racists, white supremacists and slack-jawed yokels so goddamn evil that they won't even admit that they're Nazi's and racists and white supremacists, how are you going to unite them with the rest of the Goodthinkers? I mean, Jesus Christ, these are people who refuse to admit that the United States is the source of all evil in the world and that, for the good of humanity, the United States, capitalism, and Western Civilization itself must be exterminated! How do you deal with people like that?
Re-education camps.
Exile
"How do you deal with people like that?"
Marginalize them socially and economically. I reckon 10% is closer to the truth than 50%, so it's a lot easier than you think it is.
I reckon the only people you've ever effectively marginalized socially or economically were already homeless. So you wouldn't know how hard/easy it really is.
We prefer 'house challenged.'
It that's what you want us to call you, fine.
Half of the people in the country aren't Nazis. 10% tops. Socially and economically marginalizing them has never been easier thanks to Silicon Valley and antifa.
Antifa who espouses political rhetoric and economic policies first created by fascists and who use the same exact tactics the Nazis used to gain power? Yeah, no, they are the real Nazis. And a decent portion even embrace the Nazi's anti-Semitism.
"Antifa who espouses political rhetoric and economic policies first created by fascists and who use the same exact tactics the Nazis used to gain power?"
Antifa, using the tools provided by Silicon Valley, roots out and exposes closeted fascists and gets their employers to fire them.
You should brush up on history of early 20th century. The Nazis were voted into office and maneuvered into power by the machinations of right wing politicians. Von Papen should be someone you learn about.
"And a decent portion even embrace the Nazi’s anti-Semitism."
You mean Hitler's antisemitism. I think a lot of Nazis really didn't care one way or the other about Jews. Herman Goering, for example. "In this city, I'm the one who decides who's a Jew," he's been recorded as saying when responding to questions of his insistence on retaining the Jewish chef he employed. The words of a cynic, you say? Of course they are, but not the words of a dyed in the wool antisemite such as Hitler. Although even Hitler was known to stretch a point by easing up on the antisemitic marriage laws in certain cases when requested to by his favorite performers in the demi monde of theatre and film.

You forgot about the sexists, homophobes, transphobes, and xenophobes. Based on your omission I can only assume that you must think those people aren't wrongthinkers, which I also assume is because you are one of those. Report to re-education at once, citizen.

No need to fuss with that. Social and political ostracism has never been easier thanks to outfits like Twitter, Facebook and their users.

"...If the trend holds in other battleground states—and recent numbers suggest it might—then the Trump 2020 reelection campaign is in deep trouble..."
We have one poll in one state conducted by a local paper and this is a "trend"?
ENB in particular is an example of how TDS rots the mind, but this pile of shit is far beneath her previous levels.
I'm trying to think of things that this election could turn on over the last four weeks.
If Trump died from the coronavirus, that would be one.
If there were another series of riots, looting, and arson, that would be another.
If Trump were to completely clean Biden's clock in the next debate, that would be another.
I can't think of anything else that's likely to happen that might change whatever trajectory we're on right now.
If I were Biden's campaign manager at this point, I'd seriously consider using Trump's covid status as an excuse to pull Biden out of any remaining debates. All the debates can do for Biden at this point is give Trump another opportunity to turn things around. It's like a good lawyer advising the defendant not to take the stand--when it looks like he'll be acquitted without it.
And it's not as if Biden would need to whether a storm of criticism from the press for pulling out of the debates. They're all practically unpaid employees of the Biden campaign anyway.
Zoom debates
Who gets the Mute control?
I've got one, but there's no way in hell I'm watching that.
We need a mute button for debates and for any game Brian Collingsworth is announcing (or Joe Buck).
Yeah, but the press isn't likely to object to Biden pulling out of the debates on that basis either.
If Biden ran over a little girl, at this point, the press might praise him for it: He's taking an aggressive stance on global warming!
Has there ever been a press that behaves like the American press does currently?
Soviet comparisons aren't really applicable because their press was beholding to the ruling party, whereas the Democrats only hold congress.
Biden is going to debate. So, it looks to me like they don't think the trend is in their favor.
I am no longer sure about that unpaid part - - - - - - - -
Harris is going to be embarrassed on liveTV it will further sour the ticket.
I hope so!
Here is hoping that Heels Up Harris totally chokes during the debate. Nothing would please me more than seeing that nasally, whiny, grating candidate get blown out.
There’s one more, although granted it’s a long shot: The propagandists can no longer fool independents about how deadly Wuhan is, and that most of the lockdowns were unnecessary. If three weeks from now, Sweden continues to improve while the lockdown countries in Europe continue to have rebounds, it’ll get really hard to keep that quiet.
If three weeks from now, Sweden continues to improve while the lockdown countries in Europe continue to have rebounds, it’ll get really hard to keep that quiet.
Not really, they just won't report on it. "Nothing to see here, move along. What's that? Sweden? Never heard of it. Move along. Move along."
COVID-19 (along with the George Floyd freakout, and on top of Russian collusion, Trump is a racist/white supremacist) have failed to sway black voters.

If I were Biden’s campaign manager at this point, I’d seriously consider using Trump’s covid status as an excuse to pull Biden out of any remaining debates. All the debates can do for Biden at this point is give Trump another opportunity to turn things around.
They can't. Without Trump in the room to suck up all the oxygen and for Biden to yell "Would you shut up, man!" at, all that's left is for Biden to fill the room with his misadventures-in-teleprompting buffoonery.
I can’t think of anything else that’s likely to happen that might change whatever trajectory we’re on right now.
Biden contracting and dying of COVID would certainly upset the trajectory.
It was questionable that he'd make it to Nov. and/or through his first 1-2 yrs. before the debates and Trump contracting COVID. AFAICT, that hasn't changed.
I was more focusing on what would change things to go in Trump's favor.
If Biden died, that might create a huge amount of sympathy for Harris. In fact, if Biden died, that might make Harris a shoe-in.
If Biden died, that might create a huge amount of sympathy for Harris. In fact, if Biden died, that might make Harris a shoe-in.
Especially if they can not so subtly imply that Trump may have been a pre-symptomatic carrier at the time of the debate and therefore he must have given Biden the coof on purpose.
In fact, if Biden died, that might make Harris a shoe-in.
Disagree. Not to say that you're wrong just, 'outlook not so clear'.
I could see Harris taking the reigns, doubling down on COVID and masks, pulling some Fight Club/Robert Paulson brainwashing bullshit and alienating/motivating against just as much of the electorate as she gained.
Fuck. Reigns/reins. Edit button. Whatever. Fuck it.
"If I were Biden’s campaign manager at this point, I’d seriously consider using Trump’s covid status as an excuse to pull Biden out of any remaining debates."
This was what I was saying the day after the debates- if Biden bows out of the debates, it is because their polling shows that they won, and they see no need to debate again. On the other hand, if they try to keep up the debates, it means their internal polling shows something much different happening.
Right now the Polls are all over the place. ENB and her crew, for some strange reason, seem to miss the polls showing Trump doing better, and- again for some strange reason- only seem to be noticing the ones promising a Biden blow out. But look at what the actual campaigns are doing to truly understand what is going on.
Final thought: For this election to be 2020-approved, Biden needs to win, and then die on December 20th- before he can be sworn in.
I've been watching Michigan myself, and from this chart anyway . . .
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-general/michigan/
I'm not seeing that the difference between Biden and Trump grew much after the debate on September 30--at least not in Michigan.
Michigan and Pennsylvania are surely the keys here.
I notice the media does not pay too much attention to polls suggesting that Biden is stuck in the low 80's regarding black voters.

"I’m trying to think of things that this election could turn on over the last four weeks."
You're talking about an 'October Surprise.' Looking at the wikipedia page on the subject reveals an awful lot of thin gruel. For example, on October 31, 2008, four days before the 2008 presidential election, the Associated Press reported that Zeituni Onyango, half-aunt of Democratic candidate Barack Hussein Obama, was living as an illegal immigrant in Boston.
Nixon is probably the October supriser that Trump can learn most from. On October 26, 1972, twelve days before the election on November 7, the United States' chief negotiator, the presidential National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger, appeared at a press conference held at the White House and announced, "We believe that peace is at hand."
If Trump can announce something dramatic and positive with respect to Iran, North Korea or some other international hot spot, that may be his best chance to 'turn things around.'
Couple more October surprises:
Lock her up actually becoming a thing.
Mexico comes up with billions of wall dollars.
Reschedule marijuana.
I like how it's currently tax-free.
What happens if Biden gets the Rona?
I noticed we're not seeing much reporting on riots...err protests these days. The media wouldn't be trying to keep it on the downlow this close to election would it?
Lemme tell ya somethin', I live in Michigan and I live in one of the two largest (and aging) suburbs of Detroit and I'm not buying this B.S. about Trumpstilskin losing all the votes of the over 55 crowd. I have spent the last month or so observing the number Trump/Biden signage that is out on the front lawns of this and nearby cities and I'm telling you Trump signs outnumber Biden signs by something like 75 or more to 1. I was initially surprised because I expected to see much more Biden support and it has turned out to be non-existent in that sense. Does that mean Trump wins here? No, it'll be close as usual and he might even lose, but dont let anyone, especially the Freep (or ENB) tell you otherwise.
Do sign metrics equate to votes? I'm not so sure. Votes hinge on the vast middle of undecideds, the kind of people who do NOT put signs up in their yards.
I live in the DC suburbs and I hardly see any Biden signs. Of course I see zero Trump signs, but compared to the number of Hillary signs and stickers last time (which were dwarfed by the number of Obama signs the time before) Biden has very little enthusiasm behind him.
I have noticed that too. There were a lot fewer Hillary signs than Obama signs. But damn there are almost no Biden signs. Two houses down the street from me have them and those are literally the only ones I have seen.
I live in a very red part of California (I know, but they really exist). I have seen exactly one Trump sign. All the rest are split 70% Biden and 30% Biden/Harris signs.
I think that says much more about the fact that Trump supporters do not feel free to speak, but also interesting that in her home state, few people want to talk about Harris.
The lack of Trump signs especially in California is definitely because of fear of being terrorized by the left. I am not sure I buy the claims that people are lying to pollsters because of that fear but I wouldn't put a Trump sign in my yard. Democrats are fucking animals. They are liable to poison my dog or something over that. Not worth the risk.
My neighborhood numbers: Zero Trump signs. Zero Biden signs. One Biden-Harris car magnet. About 4,000 inflatable ghosts (=/- 3% error).
Yes, but were the ghosts oversampled in favor over a more representative number of skeletons and werewolves?
I meantioned this before in another thread; about a mile outside of our burb there's a 'T' intersection. On one corner is a Jesuit retreat. On the other corner is an elementary school. Behind the elementary school is a Presbyterian Church. The private property owner at the top of the 'T' posted 2 big (3'x6') Trump/Pence signs. Someone spraypainted "Fuck Trump" on them in red spraypaint. It's a rural road so their odds of getting caught were low, but still, it's there are lots of horse farms and monied gun owners out there so you have to be pretty vitriolic to vandalize private property like that (not to mention stupid becaue now every on-the-fence voter who goes to church or who's kid goes to the elementary school gets to ask why somebody would write "Fuck Trump" like that).
It would be hard to believe that Trump would lose older voters by 20%.
I find it hard to believe that Biden only polls among black voters in the mid-70's (contrary to this poll by Zogby, which almost certainly oversamples black Republicans.)
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3879503/posts
A headline created by extrapolating a single poll, in Detroit no less, nationwide?
Is this a personal best?
Perhaps some enterprising bio-tech company could start working on a TDS vaccine, but none of the people who need it would take it.
Just make it mandatory. What's the problem? /Ron Bailey
Great idea; how about an inhalable vaccine imbedded in masks?
I feel like if we went back and compared some of the lies she told almost every morning about the previous days press conferences when Wuhan first started we'd find worse, but yeah, this is right up there.
Was the poll taken in Detroit? No white people live in Detroit. And yeah, older black people are all Democrat.
While younger black voters appear to be trending Republican, especially the males. The same with Hispanics.
lol i'm wearing my Make America Grateful Again shirt today like the guy in the pic
Almost as if they took offense at the suggestion of being sacrificed to covid for "the economy." Why can't they just be patriotic and go die for the dear leader?
You mean Cuomo? Or Newsom?
"Only days into his diagnosis, the first thing President Trump does when he gets back to the White House is take his mask off."
I am not going to pretend that this virus is good for Trump's campaign. I don't know how voters will react. But I do am pretty sure that the media's strategy of going full Karen will not help the left like they think it will. No undecided voter is thinking "gee, I just wish we had more Karens in charge"
All of my Democratic friends are losing their minds over Trump being around the Secret Service without a mask. They sound like lunatics. They really do. But you can't convince them of that. They just can't help themselves.
Sometimes the election comes down to the devil you know. Sometimes it comes down to knowing the devil.
This time around Trump is no longer the outsider. Constantly playing the outsider come to town to drain the swamp has gotten old. The swamp has not been drained, cronyism is just as commonplace in this administration as the previous ones, the single issue candidate still hasn't built his wall, etc. While the constant kulturwar may appeal to the oldsters, it's just not enough to be blustering and tweeting all the time.
Don't get me wrong, I loathe Biden as much as the next guy. But in terms of campaigning Trump hasn't done a very good job. His advantage in 2016 was that he was running against the most hated person in politics. He doesn't have that this time around. He can't be mean to Uncle Joe. That will play to his hard core support, but he needs to play to the vast middle who didn't invest in MAGA hats.
Like it or not, Trump is going to lose because he's running a negative campaign and against a helluva lot of things, but he's not for much of anything except himself. That worked when he was the fresh outsider face, but now he's the incumbent. (I do think the Republicans will do a lot better in the down races than the pundits think, however).
Don’t get me wrong, I loathe Biden as much as the next guy. B
You crack me up. You really do. The election has made you the funniest guy on here. I about choked to death on my coffee when I read that.
That's odd. Because Brandybuck is pretty balanced in his posts, and comes across as being a libertarian with an impartial view of the two major parties.
Going to have to see the notarized membership card to be sure.
Let me put it this way, I wouldn't vote for Biden if a gun were put to my head. Literally. But still not sure if I will vote LP or write in NOTA or just stay home.
Yeah, sure. Whatever dude. You are going to cause me to hurt myself if you don't stop it. I enjoy it a good laugh as much as anyone but man you are killing me.
What is your next act? Are you a lifetime gun owner who thinks the NRA has gone too far this time? Your new stuff is great but it is fun to hear some classics too.
I'm a lifetime gun owner who does not support the NRA.
And if anyone is a clown in this exchange, it is you. You are a republican with a calcifying brain, trying to tell libertarians that they are actually democrats.
You are about as Libertarian as my 6 month old bottle calf that follows everyone around the pasture mooching for treats.
And also it is extremely hypocritical because you label anyone who doesn't agree with you as a cultist. And your views always tend to trend to the left side of the spectrum.
Yeah, you are a lifetime gun owner. Yeah sure you are.
Like I said, the new stuff is good but it is good to hear the classics too. I am not what is funnier, the joke or the pretense that you think anyone believes it.
May I suggest you write in Willie Nelson?
"John Wick 2020: Because Who's Gonna Stop Him?"
Saw it on a T-shirt.
I normally wear my "Vote Cthulhu" shirt around now, but I worry that my neighbors might not think Trump is less evil.
Eddie Van Halen passed away today. I say we honor him by voting for him.
Just because your world is a stark black and white binary, it does not mean the world the rest of us live in is the same.
You are a nuanced thinker. Pox on both houses.
There is a classic there. It is like a fast closer at a concert. Tell us more about how both sides are bad and you are just a real independent.
Like I said, you are killing me.
Biden is running ads in Penna. saying your social security checks will end after 2023 if "Trump's Plan" is established. I've heard a number of older folks talking about this and they are worried. Trump needs to forcefully hit back on this "grandma is being pushed off the cliff" nonsense. It might be instructive, too, to see how much support Biden gave to the Simpson report that would have put social security on a much firmer footing several decades ago.
https://twitter.com/Breaking911/status/1313297586569252864
BIDEN: "The American people--They're saying, 'Jeez, the reason I was able to stay sequestered in my home is because some black woman was able to stack the grocery shelf.'"
If Biden were a Republican that would be the end of his career. He also said anyone who opposes gay marriage is "the dregs of society", because love Trumps hate. You vote for Biden because he is such a caring and wonderful guy.
Only if the Reppublican's quote was taken out of context, as Biden's was.
there is no context only racism. ketchup.
This from the same people who ruined a guy's career for using the word machaca. You fuckheads have been taking things out of context and smearing people for decades. Tough shit.
Also, given Biden's lifelong support for segregation, he doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt anyway.
Assuming "you people" refers to liberals, I'm not one. I'm a libertarian.
Still, Biden plainly wasn't being racist when the quote is in context. He was talking about how black people and other minorities contribute to society.
Assuming “you people” refers to liberals, I’m not one. I’m a libertarian.
What are you trying to take Brandybuck's title as resident comedian? You are doing a great job. I thought we were having a serious conversation but if you want to turn into a comedy act that is fine with me because that is some funny shit. I mean really, no one could read that without laughing out loud.
There’s the classic John move of always going to ad hominem attacks.
It is not an ad homenim. AD homenim is saying an argument is wrong because you said it. This isn't saying anything about the argument. There is no argument. It is laughing at you.
You need to understand what words mean before you use them.
Biden plainly wasn’t being racist when the quote is in context.
Biden plainly wasn't being racist when he invented an apocryphal story that the stocker at the grocery store is a black woman who makes everything possible for the non-essential majority? Maybe we stop identifying people by the color of their skin. That seems more 'not racist' to me.
And John called you a fuckhead, not people. I suspect because, as a lawyer, John does not assume facts not in evidence.
The topic Biden was speaking on was how minorities contribute to society. Hard to do that without giving examples of minorities contributing to society.
What was racist here? That he think black people work in grocery stories? They do.
Ah, Uncle Joe, hero of the noble savage!
Fuck you, racist. Everyone contributes to society, why does that need to be pointed out if you are not creating a racist narrative?
See, like most of the reasonable contributors here, I only revert to 'fuck you' when you refuse to concede the point you completely and utterly failed to prove.
Maybe if you would engage in honest argument, you wouldn't get it quite so often.
tell me you saw the one where Biden can't wait until the teenage dancers on his stage are "four years older"
Or how one of his secret service agents tried to punch him out and got suspended for two weeks after Biden felt up his wife's boob during a photo op. Or how Biden has spent decades claiming his wife was killed by a drunk driver when the truth is she pulled out in front of a truck driven by a sober driver and the accident was entirely her fault. Love trumps hate unless slandering someone as being guilty of vehicular homicide makes for a better sob story.
Biden is a complete dirt bag. He is everything the left pretends Trump is.
That was super creepy.
NBC News: Joe Biden didn't just compromise with segregationists. He fought for their cause in schools, experts say.
Joe Biden helped give America the language that is still used to oppose school integration today, legislative and education history experts say.
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/nbcblk/joe-biden-didn-t-just-compromise-segregationists-he-fought-their-n1021626
I was wondering why NBC would run a story like that now, but then I saw it was from June 2019, when they could still fantasize about a True Leftist winning the nomination.
There are four weeks left and they said all this same shit four years ago. Biden looks like a weak doddering old fool, which might impress some limp wristed democrats and the idiot center.
If you perceive Biden as weak and doddering, how do you not also perceive Trump as weak and doddering? They are both in their seventies and both inarticulate.
"If you perceive Biden as weak and doddering, how do you not also perceive Trump as weak and doddering?..."
Folks, this passes for what WK considers a 'balanced' statement.
Hint, WK: Biden is senile, Trump isn't.
This what Sevo considers a counter argument. “No, he’s not!”
Inarticulate != weak and doddering.
Trump's lack of oratory comes from the fact that he's not an intellectual who utilizes the English language to its fullest extent.
Biden's lack of oratory (now, not Biden of six years ago) is the fumbling and mumbling of a guy who can't form a coherent thought.
As far as 'weakness' goes, I'm presuming your'e talking about physicality here. Trump holds rally after rally where he's on stage for hours. I'm not sure if I could do that, let alone Biden.
Trump’s lack of ability to speak in complete sentences is a strong indication he cannot think complete thoughts.
No it isn't. There are several studies that show people with higher IQ (disclaimer not claiming Trump is or is not higher IQ) have difficulty speaking articulately. This is often accredited to a person's brain working faster than their motor skills. Speaking articulately is not an indication of high cognitive functions. Trump tends to use incomplete thoughts, which could is also not uncommon with people with higher cognitive functions (again not stating he is a genius), especially when speaking off the cuff.
Disagree with you. Inability to speak in complete sentences by the time you’ve reached your seventies when you have been in jobs that require communicating is a sign of a deeper problem with thinking in complete, coherent thoughts.
Communication is an important quality in a leader such as a President. If he truly is someone who is so smart it works against his ability to finish sentences that is a trait that one would list as a negative in a presidential candidate.
Jefferson was supposedly a terrible public speaker, as were several other noted 19th century presidents. We only consider public speaking a a plus because of mass media.
Old People to Biden
Did Trump ever really "have" the Boomers?
There is no way that white men over 65 have now shifted to Biden. White women maybe but white men? That goes against every other piece of available evidence.
What evidence? All we have for determining such things is polling, and they are error prone.
Other than that, all anyone has is their "gut feel".
Four years of Trump rallies filled with thousands of over 50 white guys to start with. But I assume you are kidding here.
Damn you are putting out some funny shit today.
Out of a country of 300+ million, a tiny fraction of the white men have shown up at Trump rallies.
Yeah Trump is going to lose because the old white guys are turning against him.
That is Dave Chapel level funny shit. It is almost as funny as you claiming to be a Libertarian.
“Yeah Trump is going to lose because the old white guys are turning against him.”
Where did I say that? I don’t claim to know whom old white guys are going to vote for?
My point is you don’t have any way of knowing, either.
TWK....Dude, just stop. Please. White males 50+ will overwhelmingly vote for POTUS Trump.
WK is ENB.
How do you know?
Liberalism masked by concerned libertarian posts that only a so called journalist could think passes muster.
A strange ownership of the articles contents that reflects my aforementioned observation.
Jesus, how does she have the time?
everyone else is at their jobs
And?
""a tiny fraction of the white men have shown up at Trump rallies."
At this point, I'm a little bit confused as to what stops a reporter from mailing out polls, collecting the results, burning them, and writing whatever story they want. Do polls ever get retracted? Does anyone ever lose their job because their poll was stupidly and terribly wrong? Even if absolutely legitimately conducted, it seems like it's far outweighed by the number of times it's just a vehicle to imply the rhetorical "It is widely known..."
I don't know, why don't you ask the RNC circa 2012, after they realized they'd drank their own Kool-Aid about "skewed polls"?

This is good reporting.
Has anyone spotted a truck from the Fuminating Bugs and Insects company spraying around the White House and Senate recently?
Flowers By Irene
You liberals must really be afraid of Trump. Not one poll or stat has him winning any demographic. What a crock.
Hmmm, which devil do I sell my soul to this year? Biden or Trump?
Meanwhile, Biden is losing old people to COVID.
Not that dead voters is a problem for his party, historically.
Thank you So much for sharing this useful information
I was reading this article and thinking hmm, this is quite interesting. Then I came to the part where you regurgitated a New York Times poll and I just LAUGHED AND LAUGHED AND LAUGHED.
Then I clicked unsubscribe at the bottom.
GOP has registration edge in some swing states and even MSM seems to acknowledge that Trump is making gains on Latinos and blacks. Is Trump getting blown out because he's losing white support?
Clinton had a 8 point RCP lead on Trump in PA on Oct 5th 2016. I guess we're about to find out if those "shy" voters come into picture again, or if enough Americans weren't able to follow instructions on sending ballots.
