I see Oliver left out the part about it being illegal to possess a firearm in public, leaving everyone else basically defenceless. Fuck mayor Keith James!

I’ve made $66,000 so far this year w0rking 0nline and I’m a full time student. I’m using an 0nline business opportunity I heard about and I’ve made such great m0ney.wax. It’s really user friendly and I’m just so happy that I found out about it.

Indeed. Sea levels can't rise fast enough for the rest of Florida.

  4. darkflame   5 years ago

How is he allowed to forbid the buying of guns & ammunition? Seems like an easy lawsuit to me

    1. loki   5 years ago

South Florida is overrun by New York transplants. That's how.

    2. MatthewSlyfield   5 years ago

The order only lasts 72 hours. By the time the case gets to a judge they'll claim the case is moot since the order already expired.

      1. Rossami   5 years ago

The city might argue it but it would seem trivially easy to counter that this is an issue “capable of repetition, yet evading review” which I believe traces back to Spencer v. Kemna, 523 U. S. 1, 17 (1998).

Banned lawyers too. That why Zevon just sent a telegram to the outside world - Send lawyers, guns, and money; the shit has hit the fan.

    4. D-Pizzle   5 years ago

It depends on the district court and how the circuit court rules on the matter. Despite it being an obvious violation of the holding of Heller, there is virtually zero chance the case would be taken by the SC.

from displaying weapons for 72 hours
They aren't doing any good sitting in their display cases.

What is he, fucking Caesar or something?

    1. MatthewSlyfield   5 years ago

Caesar died a long time ago. That would be gross.

"Displaying weapons" for sale? Or holding them to show a will to defend one's store?

"There is reason to believe that there exists a clear and present danger of a riot or other general public disorder," wrote Mayor Keith James in his proclamation.

Sheesh, Keith, couldn't you weasel-word that more?

I saw General Public Disorder open for Foo Fighters once.
