Brickbat: Police State

In Australia, the Victoria police department is defending officers at one station who celebrated 70 years of Communist rule in China by raising that nation's flag over their headquarters and singing the Chinese national anthem. More than a quarter of the people living in the area around that station are from China, and in a statement the department said the ceremony honored ties with the local Chinese community. But a local councilor questioned the move. "I would have thought our own police force would be a little more judicious when it comes to associating themselves with authoritarian foreign states that have a very different approach to policing its citizens," said Blair Barker.

As usual there will be crickets and even casual dismissal of the opinions of the actual Chinese people there who might say anything negative about communism and the godawful government they have actually lived under. The wide-eyed "I'm literally a communist" dirtbags in the west continue to kid themselves it's all such a fantastic idea, and/or love it all the more for its callous and brutal disdain for their political opponents.
Ps - apologies for my lack of puns or humorous response. I was sitting in a bar waiting for my buddy the other day talking to some girl he's currently fooling around with and she did that classic eyes-wide, staring into the distance with naive sincerity bomb drop of "I'm literally like, very far left", at which point I began to ignore her and watch the sportsball instead. What drives people to tie in political delusions/persuasions so strongly with their sense of identity? It's the equivalent of someone telling you that they're vegan as if it's the most important thing about them and central to their identity as an individual.
"What drives people to tie in political delusions/persuasions so strongly with their sense of identity?"
They have nothing else.
It's common for people to have their identity be their ideology. But like you I don't understand it.
Vegan can be important for dating, as it limits the dining possibilities. It is especially important for living together, if that's the ultimate goal.
Politics, like your friend's girlfriend, can be much less important.
They can always eat the parsley garnish that came with my steak.
These people are out-sourcing their thinking about problems. They are taking the easy, politically correct, good-feeling way out.
There is a name for these people:
Airheads.
Sounds like The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, claiming to be a card carrying communist while living on the upper East Side and shopping at Bloomingdales. What could possibly be amiss with that?
I had a landlord once who was a card carrying communist. A landlord. A fricking landlord.
I also once met Stalin's granddaughter. Still a communist. Wearing a mink coat. Mink. Coat.
Mark a file card "Communist" and put it in your wallet.
Voila!
Put it next to the cards marked "Liberal", "Libertarian", and "Conservative" to cover all the bases.
Only the wealthy can afford to be communists.
So, a credit card carrying communist?
Google pay 390$ reliably my last pay check was $55000 working 10 hours out of consistently on the web.My increasingly youthful kinfolk mate has been averaging 20k all through continuous months and he works around 24 hours reliably.I can't trust in howdirect it was once I attempted it out. This is my essential concern...:) for more info visit any tab this site ☛☛ http://earny.xyz/KfKLXSiYq
Talk about a Freudian slip! Maybe the authoritarian approach of our homegrown bootboys isn't so 'very different,' after all! They sure took the Communist lesson on the importance of disarming the proles to heart.
"Gladys Liu has been tied to the propaganda arm of the Chinese Communist Party and that's just the tip of the ice-berg, the Chinese United Front has been working behind the scenes in Australia for decades and as the 70th anniversary of Communist China recently showed just how bad things are, the CCP flag is being flown over Australian Police stations and cars mocked up as Chinese police are allowed to drive around the cities of Australia."
Australia Belongs to China!: Australians did not see this coming, but China pretty much owns Australia. (YouTube)

Hey, 70 years. The Communist Party must be doing something right since they keep winning all those elections.
Ukraine’s fault.
why?
Are you really asking "why?" You may need to be re-educated.
Never vote for a socialist.
That's the Labor party.
And the Democrat party.
And all parties in Europe.
“Like the NBA, we welcome the Chinese censors into our homes and into our hearts,” We too love money more than freedom and democracy. Xi doesn’t look just like Winnie the Pooh at all! Tune into our 300th episode this Wednesday at 10! Long live the Great Communist Party of China! May this autumn’s sorghum harvest be bountiful! We good now China?”
Now that is an apology. Well done Matt and Trey.

You might want to check with the neighbors first to find out why they're *from* China and not *in* China. If you've got a local German community, you might want to hold off on flying the German flag if they happen to be heavily Jewish as well.
Yeah, try a mid-20th century German flag...
...and bar the door!
China’s greatest export is their people. They make great firefighters, Chinese restaurants, massage parlors.. just don’t hire them for an IT job at Boeing.

All government workers are communist.
Duh. Police celebrate the police-state. Who'da thought?
That's yer problem, right there.
1. These people left China for a reason dude. That flag is the flag of the *government* of China - the oppressive communist state - not of the Chinese people. You're literally waving the symbol of the oppressor they escaped in their faces.
2. You shouldn't be building ties with 'the Chinese community'. You should be helping these people become part of the Australian community. Ghettos are supposed to be temporary, not permanent enclaves of foreign cultures.
eh, give it another 70 years and Australia will be a protectorate state of China a la the Baltic states for the USSR.
