Awesome map - thanks. Confirmed pretty much what I suspected - my nanny state of Minnesota won't have sports wagering for 50+ fucking years, and we'll have to drive to Iowa to "legally" put $$$ down on a football game. Hell, we just passed Sunday liquor sales for the first time in 85 years, so baby steps, I guess.

You know its probably a religious hangup when even the enticement of million in taxes from betting don't convince your state to jump in with both feet.

In Minnesota it is a toxic mix of social conservative hand wringing, who never saw a freedom they didn't like, and proggie self loathing over the Ojibwe casinos they tolerate, but virtually no private competition is allowed in the casino business. This is the home of Andrew fucking Volsted, who thought it good of himself to ban alcohol in the United States.

I bet sports gambling will do well and states will get some serious Benjamins from it.
