A tsunami warning was issued this morning for Alaska after a magnitude 7.9 earthquake occurred the Gulf of Alaska.

That's what happens when you open up ANWR to fracking, you anger North Gaia.

President Donald Trump reportedly referred to his chief of staff John Kelly as "another nut job here who thinks he's running things."

"And there can be only one. Believe me."

    2. Palin's Buttplug   7 years ago

Odd how the Dotard picked a bunch of "nut jobs" for his cabinet.

What did Tillerson call Trump? A fucking ignoramus?

The Drumpfter's lack of intelligence enraged me to the point of insane in continence.

      2. Don't look at me.   7 years ago

Don't be silly, nobody would speak of the president that way. He said he was a fucking moron.

      3. loveconstitution1789   7 years ago

        Billions in free publicity!

Lefties concentrate on what Trump tweets and what their bubble narrative is, meanwhile Trump rolls back him some gubmint.

        1. mad.casual   7 years ago

The dotard picked a bunch of nut jobs for his cabinet and, collectively, they couldn't find their asses with both hands.

His predecessor selected a carefully crafted Team of Rivals, unseen since the days of Lincoln, who sat idly by while he perpetrated every unconstitutional act he thought SCOTUS and Congress would let him get away with and quite a few that they didn't.

          1. Philadelphia Collins   7 years ago

And some unprecedented shit is gonna hit the fan. FISA, 50,000 missing FBI texts, Obama knowing about Hillary's gross negligence and doing nothing about it, Seth Rich, DWS, I predict a popcorn shortage.

A tsunami warning was issued this morning for Alaska after a magnitude 7.9 earthquake occurred the Gulf of Alaska.

    THANKS, TRUMP!

    1. Don't look at me.   7 years ago

Best earthquake ever. You are going to love it.

      1. Leader Desslok   7 years ago

Not really. There wasn't a giant tidal wave, or nuclear melt down, or thousands of buildings flattened. As far as earthquakes go Mother Nature was really lazy on this one.

  5. Fist of Etiquette   7 years ago

President Donald Trump reportedly referred to his chief of staff John Kelly as "another nut job here who thinks he's running things."

    Reportedly, eh?

  6. Domestic Dissident   7 years ago

Release that classified FISA memo congress so that all the American people can see what a complete joke Obama, Clapper, Brennan, Mueller, and the FBI are.

    1. Citizen X - #6   7 years ago

      Who are you talking to?

      1. Domestic Dissident   7 years ago

You're only talking to yourself using multiple screen names, retard.

        1. Citizen X - #6   7 years ago

In addition to being laughably untrue, that doesn't answer my question at all, but i'll let it slide since you're barely literate.

Anyone who wants to continue winning!

    2. Palin's Buttplug   7 years ago

It is not "classified" you idiot.

It is completely made up by GOP partisans.

      1. Domestic Dissident   7 years ago

All FISA requests and proceedings in the FISA court are classified, Weigel you lying fuck.

        1. Palin's Buttplug   7 years ago

FISA court orders are - but not the GOP "memo" they made up.

          1. Domestic Dissident   7 years ago

I can tell how terrified you scumbags are because of how close we're getting to the truth finally coming out once and for all about your beloved Chocolate Nixon.

            1. $park? leftist poser   7 years ago

YOU'RE BOTH FUCKING RETARDS SO GET OVER IT

              1. loveconstitution1789   7 years ago

You, Tony, and Butt seems little frustrated lately.

It must be Trump's anniversary as president and his ever increasing popularity above what won him the election.

Lefties are in for some bleak decades ahead. Trump as president for 8 years. Ruth Bader Ginsburg croaks and Trump replaces her with an originalist justice like Gorsuch. Kennedy retires and Trump replaces him with an originalist justice like Gorsuch. Democrats lose more seats in the House and the conservatives gain a 60 seat super majority in the Senate.

                1. loveconstitution1789   7 years ago

                  For Sparky of course.

                  1. $park? leftist poser   7 years ago

                    For Sparky of course.

Oh for crying out loud, you're as retarded as the other two. You and the imaginary lefties in your underwear.

        2. Palin's Buttplug   7 years ago

The document alleges that the FISA judge who signed off on surveillance warrants for members of Trump's team during the campaign was not given full information about the dossier that was used in at least one application, including that it was paid for by the Democratic sources, CNN reported Saturday.

          That's all you wingnuts have?

          Are you fucking serious?

          1. Incomprehensible Bitching   7 years ago

It compares little to the evidence of treason we have seen from the Drumpsflateur.

Treason is a capital crime. Let's hope for the best.

            1. loveconstitution1789   7 years ago

The best is Hillary gets more than a year and a day in prison for mishandling classified information.

Since lefties don't even know what treason means, Trump will let Mueller spin his wheels for 2 more years. Plenty of distractions to rollback government and nothing the lefties can do about it.

          2. loveconstitution1789   7 years ago

Butt: You seem all frustrated lately. Its almost as if all your lefty fantasies are being proven wrong over and over again. Even worse for your lefty ideologues is that more and more Americans are saying fuck you Democrats. Americans are in charge now.

      2. mad.casual   7 years ago

It is completely made up by GOP partisans.

My understanding is that GOPers are the one's being labeled as duplicitous hacks for keeping it under wraps. That, while it does undermine the FBI and Clinton, it just as much demonstrates that the GOP is willing to keep the same secrets from Americans and from other elected representatives in order to manipulate decisions and maintain power/status quo.

        1. CatoTheChipper   7 years ago

Greenwald had a pretty good article on this over at _TheIntercept.

This may very well be a GOP fraud, aka "phony scandal". If the "four-page memo" isn't released in the next couple of days, we can pretty safely assume one of two things. It's typical partisan hype of a phony scandal, or things are much, much worse than anything imagined. Occam's Razor says it would be the former.

          1. CatoTheChipper   7 years ago

            SF'd link.

Republicans Have Four Easy Ways to #ReleaseTheMemo ? and the Evidence for It. Not Doing So Will Prove Them to Be Shameless Frauds.

If that doesn't work, google it.

  7. Bee Tagger   7 years ago

The 2018 Oscar nominations will be announced today.

They need to announce the nominations for what the source of anger will be after the nominations are announced.

    1. Don't look at me.   7 years ago

Here's hoping they turn on each other.

    2. mad.casual   7 years ago

They need to announce the nominations for what the source of anger will be after the nominations are announced.

This is hard coded into the hierarchy as reflected in the manual. If mostly white people win, it's too white. If mostly men win, black or not, some of them inevitably sexually assaulted someone. The only way there is no anger is if all multi-racial transgender things win. Even then, it's not as much 'no anger' as it is utter confusion about how and where to spew it.

  8. Citizen X - #6   7 years ago

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke out in favor of free trade at the World Economic Forum in Davos, saying the "forces of protectionism are raising their heads against globalization."

Free trade between countries, anyway. He doesn't seem to be in a hurry to encourage unrestrained trade among his own citizens.

  9. Fist of Etiquette   7 years ago

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke out in favor of free trade at the World Economic Forum in Davos, saying the "forces of protectionism are raising their heads against globalization."

SPOKEN LIKE SOMEONE CURRENTLY WINNING THE GLOBAL LABOR TRADE WAR.

    1. DiegoF   7 years ago

I suppose our attitude should be more one of gratitude and wonder that India, of all countries, is now lecturing the world on free trade. But really; these guys were so ridiculous that until the past few years municipalities had protectionist tariffs that you'd pay at customs posts on the roads into town. I don't even think the Soviets ever had that.

      1. BestUsedCarSales   7 years ago

Makes sense. Historically and to this day India is still very much a Confederacy of regions. Federalism is very strong there, to the point that tariffs such as that does not surprise me.

Really, India is an interesting plac.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke out in favor of free trade at the World Economic Forum in Davos, saying the "forces of protectionism are raising their heads against globalization."

Trump is 100% wrong on free trade. Wouldn't it be sweet if international Trump Derangement Syndrome actually increases the amount of free trade?

    1. Domestic Dissident   7 years ago

When is globalization going to finally bring 20th century sanitation to India? I hear it's disturbingly common for people to defecate right in the public streets there.

      1. Citizen X - #6   7 years ago

        Jealous?

      2. DiegoF   7 years ago

Pics or it didn't happen. (I'm especially skeptical that women 18-25, with long, straight hair parted down the middle and small to medium breasts do a lot of open defecation.)

        1. mad.casual   7 years ago

Pics or it didn't happen. (I'm especially skeptical that women 18-25, with long, straight hair parted down the middle and small to medium breasts do a lot of open defecation.)

          Obligatory.

        2. mad.casual   7 years ago

Also, I don't know that the point is as much the actual incidents of open defecation as the fact that societies who tell us we need to modernize are the same ones decried by women's rights organizations for their treatment of women (with rural women being documented as being assaulted because of a lack of toilets).

They can't simultaneously be the epitome of openness, modernity, and progressive egalitarianism and still be a rapey shithole. Pick one.

Michigan man arrested after caller threatens to kill CNN employees

"Fake news. I'm coming to gun you all down," said the caller, who cursed and used an expletive directed at African-Americans, the affidavit said.
"I am on my way right now to gun the f****** CNN cast down .... I am coming to kill you," the caller said a second call to CNN, according to affidavit.
On January 9, an investigator employed by CNN searched law enforcement databases for the phone number and discovered it was registered to Griesemer's father, the affidavit said. The investigator learned a second number was associated with the wireless account.

New beginnings or "the end of the end",

As I wake up this morning I am startled by how nature seems to emulate life. Though surrounded by a low and gloomy overcast, the storm is passing and the pale blue sky will soon show as the piercing amber red rays of the sun penetrate the shadows.

A slow comforting smile befell my generally stoic, apprehensive demeanor as I observed a small child crawl out from the rubble of our dystopian fate. She approached a single golden yellow daisy, adorned by a single drop of dew, that had sprouted from the dark pale earth. As she approached this symbol of rebirth she smiled as she knelt to examine its beauty. I do not know weather she will be old enough to remember the fall of society, I pray she does not.

The moment was as sweet as it is fleeting, "what next" I thought to myself. All man kind now faces a choice, rebuild from the burnt ashes of order and humanity, like a phoenix triumphantly soaring; or let the crushing weight of mankind's fall from government and grace weigh heavy on the conscious, like the heavy burden on a tired Atlas' shoulder. Though we have taken a knee, I must hope, for the sake of that smiling child and her dew soaked flower, that we will not lie down.

    >Dutch police to 'undress' youths wearing clothes deemed too expensive for them

Police in the Dutch city of Rotterdam have launched a new pilot programme which will see them confiscating expensive clothing and jewellery from young people if they look too poor to own them.

Officers say the scheme will see them target younger men in designer clothes they seem unlikely to be able to afford legally ? if it is not clear how the person paid for it, it will be confiscated.

The idea is to deter criminality by sending a signal that the men will not be able to hang onto their ill-gotten gains.

Rotterdam police chief Frank Paauw told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf: "They are often young guests who consider themselves untouchable. We're going to undress them on the street.

"We regularly take a Rolex from a suspect. Clothes rarely. And that is especially a status symbol for young people. Some young people now walk with jackets of ?1800. They do not have any income, so the question is how they get there."

    1. Unlabelable MJGreen   7 years ago

If your instinct is that this seems wrong, don't fret, they have a libertarian justification:

He said the young men targeted often have no income and are already in debt from fines for previous convictions but wearing expensive clothing.

This "undermines the rule of law" which sends "a completely false signal to local residents", he explained.

      1. BestUsedCarSales   7 years ago
