According to a statement issued by the White Hosue...

    Confefe!!!

    1. Rufus The Monocled   8 years ago

      Hello.

Keep the axe chopping up Obama's legacy.

      1. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

Picture, if you will, a touch football game is happening on the south lawn of the White House. President Donald Trump is lunging for the football as Defense Secretary James Mattis and Chief of Staff John Kelly tackle him. Next pane, President Trump is lunging for NBC's broadcast license as FCC Commissioner Pai refuses to tackle him. Just then Vice President Mike Pence at his home at the Naval Observatory overhears his Secret Service detail discuss over comms that back at the White House everyone forgot to sing the National Anthem before the game. The Vice President has the agents fly him on Marine Two to the White House so that he can storm off the lawn in protest. Meanwhile former advisor Steve Bannon vows to bring down the GOP establishment by getting them to institute Cash for Clunkers: The Sequester.

        1. Rufus The Monocled   8 years ago

          Where are the tits?

          1. Chipper Morning, Mean Girl   8 years ago

That's not the first time you've had to say that, is it.

          2. Hank Stamper   8 years ago

Hey tits getting over hear. Tits meet toots.

        2. Bee Tagger   8 years ago

I assume all of the players were wearing "He Hate Me" XFL jerseys

        3. Crusty Juggler   8 years ago

          Bravo.

          1. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

            Finally. Accolades.

        4. Dr Fallout   8 years ago

Very nice, but I was hoping for "Son of Cash for Clunkers," or "Bride of Cash for Clunkers."

          1. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

Back pocket for a future installment.

  2. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

According to the Centers for Disease Control, 40 percent of adults and 20 percent of adolescents in America are now obese.

The kids have some catching up to do.

    1. some guy   8 years ago

Clearly these idiots don't know what's good for them. We need to institute a nationwide calorie tax NOW! Or a five year plan. Either will work.

      1. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

        BMI-sharing offset credits.

        1. some guy   8 years ago

Supermodels already have lives that are better than mine in every way. Why should they get my money too?

          1. creech   8 years ago

Maybe, but don't forget many of them have to sleep with toads such as Harvey Weinstein to keep their careers on track.

            1. Radioactive   8 years ago

no one needs high capacity children...

              1. CE   8 years ago

I blame the large refrigerator sizes. Have you seen some of those new ones? They're bigger than my kitchen!

  3. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

Twitter has deleted tweets and other user data of potentially irreplaceable value to investigators probing Russia's suspected manipulation of the social media platform during the 2016 election...

Twitchy, where are you when your country needs you?

    1. some guy   8 years ago

Have we already forgotten about the NSA?

      1. Bee Tagger   8 years ago

Yes, hopefully some of those tweets were sent by NSA employees' former girlfriends.

    2. Bee Tagger   8 years ago

National publications turn their click-bait eyes to you.

    3. colorblindkid   8 years ago

If Hillary Clinton had won, nobody would even be reporting on this Russia thing, because it's really nothing out of the ordinary or unexpected. People are just looking for excuses for why the greatest woman to ever walk the face of the Earth lost to Trump.

      1. Chinny Chin Chin   8 years ago

Had Hillary won, she'd be using the Russia thing as an excuse for a boatload of new regulations. The press would be happy to report it, cheering her as a Defender of Democracy.

        1. BYODB   8 years ago

Or she would just shoot down Russian aircraft in the Middle East like she wanted to do.

    4. John   8 years ago

So either Twitter is secretly being run by the people at Breitbart, or those Tweets and data showed the entire "Russia stole the election" narrative to be the load of horseshit it is.

      1. BestUsedCarSales   8 years ago

A few weeks ago I saw an article where the investigators were saying that Facebook and Twitter were not taking the investigation as seriously as they should. They're laying all this blame on them for their inability to find a smoking gun.

So here's my third option. Data that was part of normal maintenance and clean up what deleted at some point in the past. Investigators are now certain that this was where the smoking gun is, and thus their inability to find facts matching what they need is the fault of Twitter.

  4. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

Police officials in New York City and in London are reportedly looking into allegations of sexual assault against Harvey Weinstein.

Now that it's grabbed the twittersphere's attention.

    1. some guy   8 years ago

      Talentless female actresses hardest hit.

      1. Crusty Juggler   8 years ago

Did you just insinuate that Kate Beckinsale has no talent?

        1. Radioactive   8 years ago

no insinuation required, only casual observation necessary...

    2. Dr Fallout   8 years ago

"grabbed its leg" as it were.

  5. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

The death toll from the northern California wildfires has climbed to 31.

Time for the Golden State to think about sucking up to the president for some of that competent relief.

  6. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

According to the Centers for Disease Control, 40 percent of adults and 20 percent of adolescents in America are now obese.

    John approves.

  7. Bee Tagger   8 years ago

"Twitter has deleted tweets and other user data of potentially irreplaceable value to investigators probing Russia's suspected manipulation of the social media platform during the 2016 election, according to current and former government cybersecurity officials."

This is the day Twitter truly became a government entity.

    1. Zeb   8 years ago

      A Russian government entity?

      1. John   8 years ago

If Putin were half as smart as he thinks he is, he would have some Russian Billionaire buy Twitter. I am pretty sure Twitter's entire stock value is down in the tens of millions these days. Wouldn't that be hysterical?

    2. Rufus The Monocled   8 years ago

I don't follow. Shouldn't Twitter be allowing a Russian probe because it's a progressive narrative, no?

      1. Bee Tagger   8 years ago

They occupy the same space as ESPN all sides of the culture war think they are failing them.

      2. Bubba Jones   8 years ago

They are deleting things that make them look bad.

      3. Ken Hagler   8 years ago

They have no reason to want ordinary people to see what the eeevil Russians are tweeting about. Why, we might discover that Russians are conspiring to like kittens too!

        1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

Pictured: some Russians who love their kitten.

  8. Fist of Etiquette   8 years ago

...the Trump administration will stop making "cost-sharing reduction payments to insurance companies under Obamacare."

Are Congressional Democrats going to be sorry they didn't legislate the Obamacare problem with the GOP?

    1. Homple   8 years ago

Pretty sure that's intended to happen.

    2. colorblindkid   8 years ago

Don't worry. The entire press will still lay 100% of the blame on Republicans. I keep reminding people that even 39 Democrats voted against Obamacare, but their brains have rearranged history and they deny this fact to convince themselves Obama passed it with no controversy and everybody loved it.

    3. Entropy Drehmaschine Void   8 years ago

Much like a sword, that Phone and Pen cut both ways, don't they?

  9. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

According to the Centers for Disease Control, 40 percent of adults and 20 percent of adolescents in America are now obese.

Based on how the CDC classifies cop-induced deaths, we can conclude that those numbers are actually more like 70% and 50%, yes?

    1. colorblindkid   8 years ago

I'm confused about why the CDC even tracks police shootings. I'd think the DOJ or some other organization should be doing that. How are police shootings related to disease control?

      1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

Mission Creep isn't just Crusty's nickname from college, yo.

        1. Crusty Juggler   8 years ago

          Thank you.

      2. Bubba Jones   8 years ago

They need to track cause of death to make sure there isn't some sort of unnoticed outbreak.

Police shootings fall under "not the plague" which is why they are 1/2 assed about recording that detail.

        1. Illocust   8 years ago

          That makes sense.

          1. Radioactive   8 years ago

in a 1/2 assed kind of way...

  10. Braunasaurus   8 years ago

Fat bottom girls you make the rocking world go round

  11. Ska   8 years ago

I'm not obese, I just have nice tits.

    1. Crusty Juggler   8 years ago

      Pics pls.

    2. Entropy Drehmaschine Void   8 years ago

      Said Sen. Schumer.

  12. some guy   8 years ago

Anyone else getting advertisements for books on "Northern California Moon Hiking" and "Northern California Sasquatch Stories"? Should I be worried?

    1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

IT PERSONAL INVITATION FROM STEVE SMITH TO YOU.

      1. BestUsedCarSales   8 years ago

You should take that up man. He'll still rape you, but after he comes inside of you he pulls out instead of just resting inside of you for a few hours.

  13. Illocust   8 years ago

Oooo, Weinstein might not get away with it afterall. A couple countries refuse to send people to us for trial, but Britain doesn't have a death penalty. This guy may find himself cornered pretty soon.

    1. Rufus The Monocled   8 years ago

I just love watching all the moralizing assholes like Affleck and Damon squirm like the little hypocritical shits they are.

The entertainment industry is hopefully gonna get its comeuppance.

Ironic given how hard they've been going after Trump. Love how they're trying to equate Trump with Weinstein. Shows how pathetic they are.

      1. Radioactive   8 years ago

I only go to movies where the character played by Matt Damon dies...

        1. CE   8 years ago

I only go to movies where the character played by Matt Damon has to be rescued or captured at great expense to the federal government.

      2. Domestic Dissident   8 years ago

I diverted the flow of the Hollywood cultural sewer pipe away from my home and my mind a while ago. The benefits to doing so are amazing.

        1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

Like more time to come up with remarkably stupid nicknames?

        2. BestUsedCarSales   8 years ago

Video games are the true future of mass media anyway.

    2. Bubba Jones   8 years ago

We aren't going to execute him. So extradition shouldn't be an issue.

      1. Illocust   8 years ago

That was just my assumption on the issue. I know in the past, we've had sexual offenders flee to Europe and been unable to extradite them. With Britain also wanting him things should be easier.

        1. Bubba Jones   8 years ago

          http://www.nytimes.com/2016/12.....oland.html

Fame insulates people from many things.

Roger Moore was too weird for David Bowie

  15. Rich   8 years ago

According to the Centers for Disease Control, 40 percent of adults and 20 percent of adolescents in America are now obese.

Obviously the solution is to tax excess body weight. "Report for your official weighing at the designated time and place. Cash and credit cards accepted."

    1. Zeb   8 years ago

Can I get a tax credit for a very low BMI?

      1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

Zeb's apparent beer gut is actually just an enormous but benign teratoma.

        1. Dr Fallout   8 years ago

what about conjoined twins? ... of which I am reminded by banner ads on an hourly basis...

          1. CE   8 years ago

Great, now I am too, thanks to your comment showing up in my browser history.

        2. Zeb   8 years ago

Ha. I can drink as much beer as I want and no gut. Must be the hops.

          1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

I said it's not really a gut. It's a mass of disorganized tissue including teeth, hair, and a vestigial skeleton.

            1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

But yes, it's probably from the hops.

  16. Crusty Juggler   8 years ago

    On the Dems and Hollywood.

    1. lap83   8 years ago

'Weinstein once stated that "Hollywood has the best moral compass because it has compassion"'

He must have been confused about the meanings of several of those words

      1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

        Including "the," "it," and "because."

      2. John   8 years ago

What is amazing is that he almost certainly believes that. The guy is assaulting and raping women by the dozens and honestly, thinks he is a great guy.

      3. Unlabelable MJGreen   8 years ago

We all express compassion in our own ways.

    2. creech   8 years ago

Has anyone yet asked Bill Clinton's opinion on Weinstein's behavior? Or is he in hiding somewhere? For that matter, has anyone asked Trump to comment?

  17. eyeroller   8 years ago

40 percent of adults and 20 percent of adolescents in America are now obese

One way to greatly reduce the # of government employees would be to make them all use a treadmill desk.

  18. BestUsedCarSales   8 years ago

Okay, I take it back. We need to do something about these wildfires.

  19. Jimbo   8 years ago

"Police officials in New York City and in London are reportedly looking into allegations of sexual assault against Harvey Weinstein."

Wow, that is amazing. Who is hard up enough to want to rape Harvey??

  20. BYODB   8 years ago

According to a statement issued by the White Hosue, the Trump administration will stop making "cost-sharing reduction payments to insurance companies under Obamacare."

About damn time. I'm still not happy about EO's being used on the issue, they'll just be negated in turn and it helps to destroy the country, but I'll admit this is a good thing since they should have never been doing it in the first place, as it's illegal.

    1. BestUsedCarSales   8 years ago

There seems to be a fundamental divide in belief systems that I know people who can look me in the eye and tell me that those subsidies indicate a working system.

      1. BYODB   8 years ago

Yeah, usually I like to ask 'if it's working, why are you shoveling money into it like it's coal into a locomotive'.

        1. BestUsedCarSales   8 years ago

I think they believe that to be a valid form of government system. The point is people get healthcare and the costs are not obvious to them. If it costs the government money to do so, then that is success still.
